Lerman Appliances

After inspecting the unit, the technician said it needed a new pump and gave me an estimate for the labor costs. He said he would contact me with the cost of the pump and to schedule the repair. I called the following week and was told they would contact the technician to follow-up with me. Later the same week, I called again and was told the part would be delivered Monday of the following week. It's now Friday and I still have not received a call from Lerman or the technician (Vitaliy). I ended up calling LG. Their technician was extremely friendly, their labor costs are lower than Lerman, and there's no markup on the parts. I wish I had called them first. This was a waste of $65.

Our old appliance repair person had retired. Our service tech was very prompt. He took apart our dryer and figured out what was wrong in about 15 minutes. He gave us a rough estimate and said he had to order the parts and it would take several days for them to come in. Someone from the office called us as soon as the parts were in and scheduled a service call that day to install them. The same person came back to do the install so he knew exactly what had to be done. The dryer was fixed in about an hour. We will definitely use them in the future for all our appliance repair!

Excellent! I called yesterday because my washing machine was giving me a "call serviceman" message. The person who answered the phone was very nice and arranged to have a technician come out before his first scheduled call this morning. Ilya came on time and diagnosed that something was blocking the circuits. He took the machine apart (no easy task) to remove the drum and there was a pillow case that the machine had somehow sucked in. I found Ilya to be very pleasant, honest and knowledgeable and I would definitely use this company again!

My problem disappeared. But I have gained an appliance provider!!

The house I just bought had a dishwasher that wasnt working well. They were fast and efficient. I called in the morning, they were here in the afternoon. They charged $45 for a service call which was deductible from any labor. The service man looked at the dishwasher, figured out quickly that it had a pump problem. He said it would cost $370 to fix it. I knew that the new one that I wanted was around $900 so this was an easy decision. I really liked these guys. I was very happy with their service and I would use them again.

A Lerman technician came out and diagnosed the problem and let me know how much it would cost to fix it. Lerman applies the fee for diagnosing the problem toward the repair. The technician needed to order a part in order to fix the dryer. He came back a day or two later, installed the new part, and my dryer works great again! He spent about an hour diagnosing the problem and another hour fixing it. Everyone at Lerman was very personable. The price seemed fair and the work was done quickly. Much better than having to buy a new dryer!

There were still issues and they came back to fix it a few times. Then they found out there was a short in the turning dial.

I had a major problem with a large double gas oven. Another repairman had *tried* to repair it and actually blew up a circuit board. Lerman came over and diagnosed the problem and told me that the part was not made any more. I told them, no worries, I'd buy a new oven. I came to find out that no one actually makes double gas ovens anymore because they're actually too efficient and too healthy for the planet. So I needed to buy an electric oven. BUT...I would need to run 220 from my panel to the oven location which would cost a fortune on top of the cost of a new oven. I felt completely screwed. I called Lerman again and told them my situation. After quite a bit of research, they found a compatible part by another manufacturer that would do the job. They found it in Europe! Once the part arrived, they installed it and everything is wonderful again. These are good people. A respectable family business. I'll definitely call them again. Don't hesitate.

Dimetry made three trips to our home to repair our combination oven/microwave. The electronic display was very dim. Since the appliance is 19 years old Kitchen Aid no longer makes the part. Dimetry took time to call various sources to look for the part needed. He was unable to find the part or someone to repair the electronics. I went online and found a company called Core Centrics located in Illinois. Dimetry again call out removed the part and I sent it to CoreCentrics who repaired the part and returned it within a few days. Dimetry again came to my home to reinstall the repaired part. I was impressed with his helpfulness.

Better than expected

The estimate amounted to replacing almost everything in a SubZero Frig. that 10 years old. I ended up calling SubZero which recommended another service, and they estimated about 50% of Lerman's. Subzero ended up footing some of the bill, so i went with that service.

Our gas-powered wall oven stopped lighting consistently. Since we're planning to remodel within the next two years, we'd hoped to repair rather than replace the oven, although everything depended on how much the repair might cost. I called Lerman on Thursday, and the very pleasant scheduler set an appointment for the following Monday, which was the soonest they could send someone. The young man (son of the owner) arrived half an hour early, quickly determined the most likely problem, installed a new igniter, and left, all within less than half anhour. It was a painless experience, less pricey than I'd feared (no idea how it compared to other companies, since I didn't seek estimates),and quite professional while still being pleasant and accessible. I would absolutely use this company again! (I rated the price as 'good' rather than 'excellent' largely because I don't know how the labor and equipment charge compares to other companies. It seemed fair overall. I also rated 'responsiveness' a bit lower because it took several days for them to come out. However, it was close to a weekend and it's a small company, so I do understand.)

The only reason I didn't give this company all A's is bc the guy who answers the phone is not very friendly. He is abrupt and rude. Nothing like Mr. Lerman.

called on 1/15, Dmitry came out on 1/17,diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, returned at 8am on 1/21 and completed the job. He was very professional, left no mess, and left. Very nice young man. When I have another appliance problem, I will definitely call Lerman, to fix the problem. More than satisfied

Went fine. Knew what was wrong by looking at the oven. Ordered the part and returned to replace the part. Always on time or early. Very nice to work with. Will use them again

Owning an old O'Keefe & Merritt double oven circa 1970 that stopped working, we used Angie's list & were impressed by their customer's reviews. Upon speaking to Val to set up a service call, he took the time to find out if parts could be found for our particular model. Once he confirmed something could be done, we set the appointment. We were given a 9-12 window. Ilya the repairman arrived exactly at 9:00. Very impressive. He proceeded to diagnose the issue as being a simple ignition replacement & based on the information from our phone call, had the part in the truck. He took the extra time to clearly explain the work to be done & was finished very quickly. The price was very reasonable considering the price of a new oven. Looks like we have a few years left in the old one. Quick, professional & courteous.

Tech arrived on time and evaluated issue. Determined that timer replacement was needed and had office order part. I checked online and found the part to be fair. They returned at appointed time, replaced the part and everything is now working great. Would definitely use them again

This is the second time I've used Lerman Appliances, and both times have been great. The technician came within an hour of my call! He quickly diagnosed the problem with my dryer, showed me the broken parts, called his supplier, gave me a price for the parts (which was similar or even a little less than what I found with a quick Google search), ran out to get them, came back, did the work, and was done in two hours, start to finish. He knew I needed to leave for an appointment, and made sure he finished on time. The work was good, he was nice, and the price was fair.

When we called Lerman's the first thing they asked after getting info on what was not working was-the model of oven. When Vitaliy came, he knew all the particulars of the oven-what part worked and what didn't. I noticed that he did test to see whether the broiler was still working as well as checking the bit that didn't work. The needed part was in the truck, so he was able to replace it quite quickly. He was very patient, and willing to discuss with me what had happened (he even volunteered to write it all down for me!). This was one of the more straightforward and stress-free repair jobs I've experienced.

The service rep., Illia, was extremely friendly and knowledgable. He was quick and professional and fixed our stove in 2 hrs. I would definately use them again. I give them a B for price only because prices on stove parts and repairs are ridiculous compared to the cost of buying them. However, that is just me complaining about prices these days. Their price to do the work is actually pretty reasonable. Thanks guys.

It was very smooth and pain free. He showed us on time, explained the situation and fixed it. I thought I needed to fix my Dryer as well but when he tested it, he told me that it was working ok and did not need to be fixed (which was nice).

Excellent service from the first phone call. Arranged same day appointment, arrived on time...took the time to explain the problem, tried to get the part that same day, but since he couldn't, was back first thing in the morning to repair the fridge & it was cold again within an hour of his repair! Friendly, quick, excellent service!

It went terrifically. The repairman arrived on time, knew exactly what was wrong, educated me about the problem, as well as how refrigerators work in general, and fixed everything quickly and effectively at a reasonable price. Ilya, the repairman was punctual, polite, and knowledgable.

The price was right on the money.

Okay, this is a first! I called for a repair on my gas stove (it would make that clicking sound when you turn the knob, but the flame would not ignite.) Called Lerman Appliances who immediately had my records on hand and knew me as a past customer. When I went to describe the problem, i went over to turn on the stove and viola, it worked!! But the point here is that the guy on the phone went on to suggest what might have caused the problem ( soapy water or cleaning it in some fashion), how to avoid the problem, and to give a call back if the problem returned or persisted and they'd send someone right out! What kind, thoughtful, professional and , unrushed assistance could you ask for??!! Keep up the great work on the front line guys... will definitely call Lerman Appliances if I ever need a large appliance repaired in the future.
