Arrived on time, performed work quickly, cleaned up after.

Our washing machine needed a new part, we called Lerman Appliances and the technian came on time and diagnosed the problem quickly and explained what was wrong. He needed to order a new part. He said he will call as soon as the part arrives. He called as soon as the part arrived and installed the part on the same day. He explained in detail what he did.

My dishwasher was not draining at the end of each cycle; water would just sit at the bottom of the interior. I needed a new drainage pump (a tiny metal rod had snapped). Lerman's sent over a technician who was prompt (within minutes of the estimated arrival--no waiting for hours), polite and very professional. He went right to work--which required pulling the dishwasher out from the wall--and was finished within half an hour! I was so pleased! He also showed me what had broken and let me keep the part. I wish all repair jobs were as efficient as this one. I will definitely use Lermans in the future.

Everything went very well, this is the third time we have used them and I am very pleased. I would recommend them to everyone.

The technician was prompt, and replaced a plastic valve for the drain line, and was in and out in 20 minutes. He spoke broken english, so when I asked why for a 20 minute job he charged $160 for labor, he could not answer. Subsequent to the question, I called Lerman's office, and spoke to a gentlemen that told me I was VERY LUCKY to have him in and out of our house so quickly. Regardless of the time spent, Their labor charge was a fixed amount...End of conversation. I guess when you can charge $480/ hour, life is good! I feel the $20 Angie's List "coupon" was a bait and switch, as I've had other appliances serviced for much less. I chose Lerman based on their Angie's List reviews. Based on my experience, I'd look elsewhere. It was a very basic straigh forward job that I was over charged for. Too bad for Lerman, as I also have a Lynx BBQ and an outside refridgerator that needs maitenance, and I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

All of my experiences with Lerman Appliances were polite and professional. The technician takes a great pride in doing quality work! They put in every effort and solved a very difficult problem, which saved my refrigerator.

The Lerman technican arrived within the time period promised. He quickly identified the problem, a manufacturers defect that replacement parts were readily available for. The technician returned the next day at the time promised with the new parts, which he installed in less than a half hour. Upon completing that task, he realized that the compactor had never been properly leveled; he fixed that problem as well. As a result, the compactor is working better than it EVER did. As it was a design defect, I frankly wished that the manufacturer (KitchenAid/Whirlpool Corporation) would have reached out proactively to its registered customers and corrected the problem at no charge. But I suppose that's an unrealistic expectation in this day and age. But at least Lerman is a company that stands by its work, has technicians that know what they're doing, and honor promises they make.

Lerman's came out right away, even though it was a weekend, they showed us what the problem was with our washer, they discussed possible options, they made recommendations as to what the most ideal option would most likely be along with reasons why. They did not try go out of their way to sell us services that we did not want or need.

They were very good. They came when they said they would be there.

He seemed very honest. He even told me not to bother with this work – it’s so temperament that it’s going to cost you so much it won’t fix the whole thing. He gave me tips to clean the oven without using toxic cleaners. He was really good – I really liked him!

The workman arrived at the scheduled time. Examined the drier and found the problem. He showed it to me and explained what exactly had gone wrong. He didn't have the part and would have to order it. He told me the price, and we scheduled his brother to come back and fix it. HIs brother arrived as promised and fixed the drier. it works better than ever.

Made initial call based on Angie's List reports and had very pleasant experience from start to finish. In fact i didn't even bother to compare prices based on these two factors.

My refrigerator quit cooking. Lerman, who I have used several times now, came out. The news was bad, the compressor had died. I asked what I should do and he said it would be too expensive to repair since I was moving and no longer needed a refrigerator. He advised me to give it away as a lot of young appliance repair people would like to have it. I did what they advised and it all worked out great. As usual, the Leman approach is direct and honest. I am so sad now that i have moved out of LA and no longer have them as a resource. Every time I have used them the result has been perfect. They are excellent at diagnosis and repair. and they are honest!!

Great. Couldn't be more pleased.

My 1st call was on Friday 03.22.13 & an appointment was made for the following morning. They gave me a 3 hour window of 10-2 & I think Dimitri showed up about 10:30 - I was quite pleased. He was a pleasant young man who admitted he was new 2 the job. He was able 2 figure out that I needed a new gas valve on my Bosch Dryer. He then gave me an estimate of $400 - $200 for the part & "at least $200" for the labor because according 2 Dimitri it was a difficult, lengthy job. I told him I had 2 think about it, do some research & I would get back 2 them. In turn he said he would wait a week 2 charge me for the $45 service call 2 give me time 2 make my decision. I went online & found the part for $83.99 plus shipping. I understand that times are tough & people need 2 make a living so quite honestly that did not upset me. I contacted them, told them I was getting the part myself & they agreed 2 install it for the $200 quoted previously (less the $20 coupon supplied by Angie's List). They came on Weds. 04.03.13 - 3 men including the owner showed up around 10:30. Again I was pleased that I didn't have 2 wait long. I assume because there were 3 of them, that's why it didn't take more than 30-45 minutes 2 complete. I don't know what the labor should have been nor care. The fact that the owner took the time 2 be there & make sure the job was done right was appreciated & worth the price. I'm glad 2 have my dryer back - it's running quietly now as we speak! I will definitely use them again if the need arises & I will recommend them 2 friends but let them know 2 do their homework on the cost of the parts...

It shouldn't cost $120 to remove a pencil from a dryer's lint trap. (Minus the $20 Angie's List coupon.) The work itself was fine, no problem there. The problems are price and professionalism. When we called to book the service, we were told about the $45 service-call fee ... but we were NOT told there was a $120 minimum labor charge for any work done. No, we only learned that little surprise once the service rep showed up. Had we known about the $120 minimum, then we would have thanked them for their candor and called someone else. Lerman may be the place to call for a truly major repair, and their work itself was sound. But for small stuff? We'll try someone else next time.

Excellent service form a superb company

The entire job went perfect. From help in placing a service call request, to the technician showing up on time, to finding the problem and to fixing the problem, the experience was perfect.

Lerman came out on 03/22/13 and evaluated the microwave gave me an estimate, ordered the parts, called when the parts were in and arranged for a follow up apointment and installed the parts the following Friday. They waived the service fee from the first visit upon learning that I was planning to have them come out and make the actual repair. All in all, they were quick, prefessional, and responsive. I would absolutely use them again.

My experience was great. He was nice and quick to fix my oven panel. We have two people come out to give us quotes and they were the best to use. I was able to use an Angie's List discount. The person I spoke to on the phone was great and was able to effective communicate to the technician on what exactly I needed.

The repairman came out on 2/14/13, diagnosed the problem and put the part on order. He came back on 2/25/13 and installed the part.

My mother's 30-year-old dryer started making a very loud noise. Because of its age, I wasn't sure if parts could be found to repair it. I called Lerman Appliance and decided it was worth the $45 service call to have it checked since my mother preferred not to have to buy a new dryer. Ilya came out, diagnosed the problem, and said he could order the parts. He came back a week later after the parts came in and it's been working great. I found him to be very pleasant, efficient and professional. Would definitely use them again.

My technician was on time, friendly and polite, and knowledgeable. I had called because my burners weren't lighting properly. He identified the problem as ME. He was very nice about it, showing me how to clean my ignitor thingies without hurting them, and explaining how my oven works. When I cook with the oven on a high setting, it sets off my sensitive smoke detectors. After I'd paid for the service call, I remembered I was hearing an odd noise from my microwave. He found the source and made a little tweak, but didn't charge me. I liked that he was honest about not needing to fix my range or oven. I'll have this company back for any future repairs.
