They were very professional & pleasant from my first phone call on. They were prompt, diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, called and ordered the part, and installed it about 4 days later. They asked for payment of the part on the diagnosis call, then payment for the labor after the part was installed. I was very satisfied -would use again.

My ice maker broke and was dripping water into my freezer. I bought a new ice maker and tried to install it myself. I quickly realized it was above my pay grade. So I found Lerman on angie's list, called them and they came to my house, same day, and did the work for me. Ilya, the service technician, was on time, very friendly and did an excellent job. I give this company high marks for their customer service. I will use them again if I have anything go wrong with any of my appliances.

I called, made an appointment for the next few days. Repairman shows up, and the washer was working fine. He had a guess as to the problem, but we decided to just pay for the service call and see if if broke again. That same night, washer stopped working again. I call the next day and they made an appointment for that same afternoon. Same repairman comes back, fixes it, and charges us for the repair, minus the previous service call fee. Overall, we were really happy with the service. But, then. A few weeks later, the washer broke again. However, now the problem is extremely intermittent, and we haven't called them back (we're waiting until it's dead-dead-dead). That said, I understand the devilish nature of intermittent problems, so I don't hold it against Lerman's. They were responsive and professional.

Nice company to work with. Repair went well. Technician accurately diagnosed what was wrong and ordered the parts needed. Parts took a few days to come in which I was informed about ahead of time. More than 1 technician was needed for the actual repair because the dryer is stacked on top of the washer and had to be removed in order to repair the washing machine. They were accurate in diagnosing what was wrong. timely in response and repaired the washer. Courteous and professional.

The latch was working poorly for months. Finally, the dishwasher wouldn't turn on at all, as if it had no power. Turned out the broken latch wasn't interfacing properly with the circuit board and the whole thing was fried. The technician quickly showed me the problem and ordered parts. My only complaint is that the parts too three days to arrive, but that's not the technician's fault.

refrigerator was leaking. Called Val at Lerman's on 7/3. Dmitri came out on 7/5. He diagnosed the problem and repaired in about 30 minutes. Great service. Highly recommend for all your appliance repairs. I have used them before and will continue using them.

Both our wash machine and dryer we faulty. They sent Dimitri who was wonderful to work with; very knowledgeable, smart and clever. Also punctual and extremely polite. He identified the problem right away and came up with the least expensive solution to fix it, really knew his stuff. We had to call him back because the new rubber gasket hadn't had time to seat properly, and he came back right away no questions asked. He also suggested a very clever workaround to get the dryer door to stay shut that worked beautifully, and it saved me from having to order a completely new dryer door.

I called around noon to schedule someone to come take a look at my washer which had stopped working the day before. The gentleman told me they had someone in my area and that he could come by between 1pm and 4pm. The repair man showed up at like 1:15! It took him about 10 minutes to identify the problem and another half hour to repair it. It was a great experience! I was able to call them at noon and by 2pm my washer was fixed! That's awesome! I definitely recommend Lerman Appliances and plan to use them the next time I have an issue with an appliance.

It was a little rough not hearing back regarding the status of the motor. But Vitaly explained he had almost given up hope of finding a new motor. Since Vitaly hadn't asked for a deposit for the motor (as he had for the water valve) I had assumed (incorrectly) that this issue was forgotten. Well, it wasn't and now we have a working dishwasher. Thanks, Vitaly.

I contacted Lerman to repair our Kenmore front loader washer. I spoke with Val, the son, of the owner who started the company 20+ years ago. Unfortunately, I did not have the benefit of having Lerman out to repair our washer simply because we needed someone out the same day. However, I felt compelled to write a review based on my terrific experience with Val. He was kind, patient, articulate, genuinely cares about his customers, and was extremely responsive to all my calls, questions, and concerns. He struck me has honest and fair, too The other company came out the same day and quoted me $300 for the repair. I called Val to ask if he felt that was a reasonable charge. Val confirmed it was not "out-of-line"and quoted me a lower cost of $250 to repair our washer. Due to timing of the repair we went with the other company (we have a toddler we are potty training and soiled clothes are not great to leave unwashed for any period of time). When I called Val back to let him know we went with the other company he was gracious and stated that he understood. During that call I mentioned to Val that we had recently purchased a home and were about to do a complete remodel, which including gutting the kitchen. I wanted Val's perspective on what to look for and what he recommended in appliances (looks, functionality, reliability, costs, warranties, etc) to outfit our new kitchen with. Val was patient and walked though all the appliances (fridge, range, dishwasher, compacter, etc) giving his opinions as to what to look for, what to stay away from, which he feels are reliable, the difference between this type and that type, who has good warranties, etc. It was very educational to say the least and extremely helpful! Val obviously didn't make money from the call, but took the time anyway - and won a new future customer in the process. I will definitely keep Lemar's number for future needs and recommend the company to friends. Thanks, Val!

He is a very nice young man. He said whatever was wrong with it and ordered the panel, and came back and repaired it. He is very responsible. His price was fair. He did extra things for me without charge.

They were great. Came out within a day or two. Correctly diagnosed the issue on the first attempt. Had to wait for a part to be ordered. Returned within the few days that he promised. No extra costs. Clean and friendly and really knew his business. Loved 'em.

First experience with Lerman. a good experience and, assuming things hold up, will have no hesitation with calling on them again. successfully replaced the drain pump. one call to diagnose and order replacement part, one call to perform the repair. both times, punctual, efficient and pleasant with good communication. "C" rating on price is NOT negative, just means price was "fair". price was competitive, no complaint - got fair value for the expense.

Initially, I called the main number, left a message and got no response. I later called the other number and did get a scheduling person on the line and got a window of time for service. Everything went fine - tech arrived within the stated window of time, fixed the problem (which was obvious) in less than 10min. He asked again if I chose the service through Angie's List and wrote up a bill for $120 from which he deducted the credit for AL of $20. I felt it was a very high cost given the service call was just $45 and there were no real parts to speak of used in the repair. I have used this company before and was very impressed with the excellent ratio of cost to service provided - this time, not so much. Still did a very good job but at what I felt was a disproportionate cost.

Lerman Technition arrived early, diagnosed problems and provided an accurate estimate for correcting problems. Technition promptly proceeded to make repairs.

A great guy, Vitaly, came with the part and did a fast and excellent job.

I called them up, they've come here before, and the technician was the same as last time. Nice guy. Looked at it, said it probably needed a thermostat but it might need a new motherboard too but we would start with the thermostat. He replaced it and it works fine. He's very professional and thorough. I don't feel like he's trying to make more than the call deserves.

The Lerman technician was prompt, forthcoming, and very professional. Excellent service.

My top-loader washer wouldn't spin, although it would agitate. The technician said it was either the lid-lock mechanism (the most-common problem with this model) or the computer (a far more expensive problem). He had brought a lid-lock mechanism with him, so he went ahead and installed it to see if it worked. It didn't. At that point, he advised me to forgo repairs. The computer would have cost $350 and, when combined with installation, the total would have approached $450. The washer -- which was only 2.5 years old -- only cost around $500 to begin with. He offered me some recommendations about other high-quality models -- of note, his business doesn't sell washers, so he had nothing to gain. And he only charged me the service fee, which was far less than Sears once charged me simply to tell me -- incorrectly -- that my brand new dryer needed new heating coils. (I learned this wasn't true, because I cleaned out the ventilator leading to the outside, and it's worked perfectly ever since.) I would use this company again. In fact, I'm buying a new washer today, and I will certainly not buy the extended warranty simply because I know Lerman's is available should something go wrong. I can trust them.

My 3 year old front load washer was dribbling water but we couldn't figure out where it was coming from - no hoses in the back were leaking...My husband took the back panel off and discovered the water was coming from something he didn't want to touch...which was a huge relief for me. I immediately went on the computer and searched on Angie's List and picking Lerman's was a no-brainer. I read the reviews and then went on their website and decided they were the ones for me. I left an email on 5/22/13 around 9pm with my cell number and received a call the next day by 10am. The gentleman I spoke with was very accommodating. I was every worried that because it was Memorial Day weekend they would be busy and not able to come out until Tuesday...which meant I would have to go to a laundromat. I was stunned when I was told that they would have someone at our house the next day between 11am-2pm. He explained the service call fee being waived if we accepted them doing the work. My husband took the day off so someone was home (and he'd have clean clothes). Dmitry came at 11:30am and fixed my washer in 30 minutes. My husband said he was very nice, explained everything, thorough and made some suggestions (how to clean the washer and cleaning the drain pump). My husband is a hard person to please so compliments coming from him are rare. We'll definitely use them again if something else breaks in our house. Thank you Angie's List!!!!

This was a great company to work with! Really nice folks! Anyway, we have two rentals. One of the tenants complained about their dishwasher overflowing. I looked on Angie's List and found Lerman Appliances and thought I would give them a try. We have been so ripped off by repair companies in the past that I held no high expectations and was sure I would be over-charged or something. WRONG! I did everything from my end by phone or email. My tenant was contacted by Lerman as I requested, and they worked out the times and other details. Ilya from Lerman showed up on time, tenant says he was a very nice guy, and Ilya went right to work. He diagnosed the problem, cleaned out the lines to the dishwasher, made the necessary repairs and advised my tenant on proper maintenance, what type of dishwashing soap to use, etc.. After completion of the work, Ilya cleaned everything up and I put it on our credit card. Imagine my complete surprise when I found out the amount. With the discount Lerman gave me for using Angie's List, I only had to pay $70 for something I expected to be much higher. I could not be happier! Believe me, from this point forward, if we need ANY appliance related repairs done Lerman Appliance Repair will be the company we call. Great service, great people, and great prices. L am as happy as a clam at high tide!

First of all, I would like to commend the superb customer service from the attendant that I talked to over the phone. He was very professional and extremely helpful in providing me a scheduled appointment within 30 minutes of my call. As to my surprise, the service technician arrived 15 minutes early and was very courteous in inspecting my broken dryer. He found the problem in less than 10 minutes and quickly advised me on how he'll fix the problem, and that he has the part inside his vehicle. The whole ordeal took less than 30 minutes and I was back to finishing my three loads of laundry. I believe their rates are very reasonable for the quality of work and professionalism that I experienced. Especially on how quick they fixed my problem and let me emphasize the word "quick".

Appointment set 11-2, showed up at 11, diagnosed the problem, discussed possible options and solutions with me, advised the issue was more than likely starter relay switch and not compressor, although could not really know until installing relay switch, advised if relay switch did not fix the issue, would not charge for it, since its a nice refrigerator asked him to install the relay switch, seems to have solved the problem. Excellent service, honest, professional, reasonable prices, would recommend to a friend or nieghbor. Ask for Ilia, he was greast.

Lerman Appliances gave us an accurate read on what to expect,both in regards to timing and price. And, of course, they satisfactorily fixed our range. There's not a lot more you could ask from a repair company.

I had a bad experience, but I do not think this is typical for the company. When Lerman called me back he was incredibly apologetic and I do not believe he generally does business in this way - it was clearly a bad technician, and Lerman himself was on vacation. So no-one should hold it against him, I guess.
