When I called for service I needed to leave a message, a delightful young lady called me back within 5 minutes and was able to schedule me for the next day. The technician whom I believe his name was Al arrived on time was very knowledge and curious. He explained the 3 possibilities of what the problem might be and proceeded with his troubleshooting. He provided me a no pressure estimate to replace a defective defrost thermostat which was $150.00 which included everything. He even had the required part on his truck so he was able to finish the repair in one visit. Lastly, he left the kitchen spotless...In a word "Awesome"

Our freezer drawer refused to close completely, and we determined that a small plastic piece in the back needed to be repaired/replaced in order to fix the drawer. Mike, of Lerman Appliances, came at the appointed time, checked the drawer, determined the problem, explained the issue to me, contacted a supplier, and wrote up an estimate. I approved the estimate and expected to have to wait about a week for the delivery of the parts. In a couple of days I received a call indicating the part was in and I scheduled another appointment to have it installed. Mike arrived on time, did the installation, cleaned everything up and was finished in a very short time. He was very thorough in his explanations and his work.

Technician Mike arrived early in the designated time frame and was professional, courteous and informative. Repair was completed quickly.

It was good. They didn't repair anything because it was going to be $500. I didn't feel confident that the person who came understood how to fix it.

They were great! They came out right after purchasing the deal. Scheduling the work easy. They spoke with me on the phone before coming out and brought the part they expected I needed. They were right about what I needed and were able to fix the dryer within 20 minutes orfarriving. With the part, the total cost was $75. There were no surprise fees.

It went really well. The technician found the problem and fixed it. He was very competent and impressive. He came back at a later date to make upgrades to the ice maker. It was a really great experience.

The service person checked on the problem, identified a relatively inexpensive part that might be the problem. He left to buy the part and returned with it quickly. When it didn't work, he did not try and upsell us on a much more expensive repair, telling me to instead check prices and availability on a new basic refrigerator - it would likely be more cost efficient to buy a new one than replace the compressor on a 20 year old frige. The charge for all this knowledge and attention was very reasonable (no charge for the part that did not solve the problem) and Lerman's Appliance is now at the top of my list for "go-to home repair and support people."

A technician came out and assessed the issue on our cooktop. I agreed to pay $300 to have the it fixed. A $100 deposit was placed. 2 weeks later and nothing. No call to schedule an appointment. No follow up. Nothing. I called and got my money back. They were apologetic and promised to send a refund. But I would never choose to use this company.

Time was given to arrive between 12 and 3 pm on a Saturday. Mike arrived at 1:00 PM. Checked dishwasher and washing machine. Mike determined that he would be able to install springs that I already purchased and only charge the labor for the install. Then Mike checked the washing machine by running a full load and listening for anything that sounded wrong. He was also a careful listener and listened to my explanation of what was happening and what prompted me to call Lerman Appliance. He was cordial and honest. He then looked at other possibilities of what could be wrong. He concluded that, unfortunately, I had a transmission that was wearing out. He gave me a quote that was pretty reasonable for a repaired transmission, but also way more than what I expected to spend to repair it. He informed me that I didn't have to decide today - that the quote was good for one month. He didn't pressure me and understood that I may want to look at possibly purchasing a brand new machine for the cost that it was estimated for a repair. He finished his inspection of the washer and repair of the dishwasher within an hour.

It went well. The machine is back in working order. The repairman, Michael, was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. He gave us a fair estimate of the problem. He had to come back with the part needed and was back within a few days. I would definitely use this company again.

Ilya, the son of the owner, came out both times. Very nice, respectful young man. My machine (Maytag Duet) is about 12yrs old - almost at the end of its life. It has been working fine. No mechanical problems. But the start button failed. Turns out the plastic casing that the electronics sit in was getting very friable and pieces started breaking off. One piece broke off under the start button. My decision point: do I fix it for $400 (includ. labor) or do I buy a new machine? Ilya helped me decide by giving me information about why and when washers tend to fail. I decided that the new panel is very likely to buy me at least a year, if not longer, before I have to purchase another washer. We JUST purchased a dishwasher so not having to lay out hundreds of dollars again would be nice!! Now, before Ilya left, he ran a rinse and drain cycle to make certain the washer was working properly. He heard that it was draining slowly and noticed a moldy smell and I brought up that small sponges can get caught below the rubber seal inside the washer. That clicked something in his head and he investigated further. He took off the bottom panel and opened a drain and wouldn't you know it, there was an old pot scrubber in there! If he had not been so diligent, I would have been on the phone for another appointment for them to come out and check the machine again. He saved me time and money because I did not have to spend another day waiting for a repair AND he did not charge me for the plugged drain fix - which was very, very nice of him. He was also quite clever and neat, using a plastic garbage bag under the drain to collect the water and lint. I would definitely recommend these folks. In fact, I plan on giving his info to our local cleaners who refers his customers to reputable service providers.

We used them in the past, to fix some other large appliances. We're pretty happy with them. They were polite and gentlemen.

Our front loading washing machine flooded our laundry room and hall on the 13th of Aug. We called Sears because we bought it from them but they couldn't come out until the following Tuesday. I went on Angie's List and saw Lerman Appliances?they had a great rating. We called on Thursday afternoon and they said they could be out the next day. There was also a coupon that I bought?$25 for a $50 house call. On Friday, well within the time frame given, a very nice young man named Ilya arrived. Within five minutes he uncovered the cause of the leak and immediately fixed it. My husband and I stood there amazed. He did not try to sell us anything else. I mentioned that Sears was unable to install a new dishwasher that I bought from them. He looked at the area and told us what needed to be done. They don't even install dishwashers so he wasn't trying to get more business, he was just being helpful. I know that I will never use any other company to fix my appliances! You shouldn't either.

He said it was pretty sure that it was the timer that was broken. He had to order the timer. He came out on Tuesday. He said he could get the timer the next day. He came back on Thursday and my dryer was working. They were terrific. They guy was terrific. I was very pleased. Michael was very thorough. He was excellent. He came exactly when he said he would. he was right on time. I would give them all A's. He did an outstanding job. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They arrived promptly and recommended first a good cleaning of the back of the fridge to see if that fixed the problem before going with the compressor. We did and they suggested, and it did the trick. We appreciate them saving us money and will use them again in the future!

I felt like they totally ripped me off. I never had to pay $150.00. It took him 5 minutes to change the wire.

Person arrived on time; checked the drains, filters; confirmed that everything was ok. Told me that if it retains water again, then it would be the water valve that had to be replaced. Was professional, answered all my questions. Also quickly reviewed dryer hookup to see that everything was fine--gratis.

I called Lerman Appliances because our dryer wasn't drying very well and after I described the problem to the woman who answered the phone she explained what might be the problem. She went on to say that if that were the problem we would need a duct cleaning service rather than their service. She told us how to check and thanks to this my husband was able to take care of the problem himself. I was very impressed by Lerman's professionalism. I didn't have to sit on hold, I didn't have to wait to be transferred to someone else, the woman who answered the phone was very knowledgeable and, though she could have just sent out a service rep and charged us for that, she gave us a solution that cost us nothing. If in the future I'm in need of large appliance repair I would definitely call Lerman Appliances.

Service tech was stumped by issue. Could not open dishwasher door after many attempts. Contacted manufacturer who kept him on hold forever. He choose not to charge me and apologized for not being able to fix the problem.

We have not had any issues since the service. I would highly recommend them.
