Description of Work: I tried this company to clean 3 empty bedrooms and bonus room of a client's house.The work performed was good. I have used Stanley Steemer in the past and I'd say they are comparable. It took a little longer than expected (almost 3hrs), but they sent only one person. My disatisfaction was with the office person. I paid for the service at the location on the same day. I then sent invoice to my client for reimbursement. He mistakenly sent a check to Upland Steam Co. When I learned of the this, I called Upland Steam to have them void and return the Client check (since our client does not speak English well). I talked to Diane. It was difficult to talk to her. She kept trying to talk over me. I was finally able to give her enough information to check her files. She acknowledged that they had received 2 payments for same job, and she had not cashed the client's check. I asked her to void and return the check to the client and send me fax or email confirmation with a copy of the voided check. She said she would return the check to the client, but she would not void the check nor send me a confirmation. I asked why and she said it was illegal to do so. Sometimes it's more about tone than content. I told her I was not satisfied with her and she ended the call aburptly. At this point I have no written assurance that she will follow up and do anything. I will not be calling them again.

Description of Work: I am very pleased with the carpet clearning performed by Upland Steam. This is the second time I have used Upland Steam and I had the same Service Technician, Manny. He arrived a few minutes early and asked to see the areas he would be cleaning. He "spotted" the areas that were soiled and explained what he was going to do and in what order. He answered all my questions prior to starting the work. Manny was highly professional, very thorough and pleasant to work with. As requested by me he also measured my tiled floors for an estimate on grout cleaning and explained that process and answered my questions. I would highly recommend Upland Steam and Manny.

Description of Work: Our carpet had not been cleaned in years, so I did not expect it to be perfectly cleaned. Boy was I wrong. From my initial phone call to them, through the completion of work, they were totally professional. My first thought was that it would cost a lot of money. I received quotes from $300 to $600 from other companies. Again, I was wrong, you don't have to spend a lot of your hard earned money to get the excellent service that we received from Upland Steam. The phone was answered by a LIVE person and not an answering machine. They cleaned 3 bedrooms, hall, staircase, living and dining room, office and family room for $195 out the door! My son came to visit and took his shoes off before entering our home. They even removed a stain from our carpet that had been there for years covered by an area rug. I will call no one else but Upland Steam to clean our carpet. They even left a free bottle of stain remover! Look no further - hands down, this is the BEST carpet cleaning company ever! Believe me, I am a verrryyy picky person with a home that looks like a model home, and if I was pleased - you definitely had to have earned it.
