First initial appointment went great. Ruben came on time and was very professional. We went over samples of carpet and tile and he only had a few selections. I asked why, he said that's all they had. Ok, I asked if they did kitchen countertops, I wanted laminate, he said know one has ordered that in a couple years. He said they only did granite. I asked him to put it in the estimate (small kitchen) and see what it looked like. We also looked at A FEW samples. I said I had wanted a Black & White kitchen. So the estimate looked within reason, I chose a sample BUT I REALLY WANTED MORE OF A CHOICE. I chose this one & said I wish it was lighter, he said it might have this cream color in it, you never could tell how it was going to come. I said I wanted Black & White. Another mistake of mine was not being familiar with granite, study up people. After they installed the granite...it had 5 count em 5 colors in it. First I said I liked it, then the more I looked at it the more I wanted it lighter. I origionally had a beigh sink, which the Plumber tossed, and we ordered a white one to go with the B&W Countertop. The plumber comes in and says"WHAT HAPPENED"! I said this is what we got. The painter came in and said the same thing.Then we had to order a Black one. He said this is not what you ordered...I contacted Ruben, and told him I was not happy with it, and he said "well, maybe we should go to THE YARD"I was dumbfounded, and I said did we have this choice all along? He said we can go out there. We went, I found a BEAUTIFUL BLACK AND WHITE countertop, when we get to the car her said there's going to be an additional charge you know, I looked at him and said it better not be very much! He calls next day and says there will be an additional $3600. charge. I stayed up all night thinking of all the possibilities, and that was one. I said well, I can dream about that for a lifetime. He didn't call for a week. I will say that Rego, Edwardo and the superviser and granite crew were totally professional, also the ceramic floor tile guy was passed unreal professionally, and did a great job. The product is fine so far, just have a problem with the CUSTOMER SERVICE, after dealing with the public for over 40 years there is a certain professional etiquette to completeing a transaction with a customer. Ruben, this means YOU are at the site the last day, asking ME if there's anything else you can do for me, that you Really appreciate my business, and that it was nice doing business with me. This is the way the company you work for will get repeat business, and referrals. NOT leave the job unfinished, like not putting the microwave back up that I had to pay someone else to do. We discussed thoroughly how far back the tile should go back under the dishwasher to be installed... and you showed the floor guys exactly where to stop, so the dishwasher scratched the ceramic tile floor that I guess everyone will just have to look at. The carpet guys were animals, carpet looks great, but the guys shouldn't be working, Dario and Isrial. Ruben, you work on completing the transaction and you'll be fine. Remember...alls we leave with is our INTEGRITY
Description of Work: Well, I'll take the first hit and say I didn't look them up, and from there we were on a wild roller-coaster ride.ALWAYS ALWAYS look up the company your going to contract for work. I went against everything I usually do. So this is what I get!
