well.. I would never use them again and would strongly recommend finding another company. Some of the things I would have overlooked if the work by Planet Stone had been done in a timely & professional manner. 1. In removing light fixtures (that had just been installed), they damaged one fixture completely as well as the wiring. 2. Damage to InSinkerator connection under the sink when they removed it - I had to repair with new parts from Home Depot. They made no attempt to do it after I pointed out the problem. 3. Half a dozen long scratches to one panel of my glass siding door (the kitchen entry.) I wash those windows myself every week and they were not there prior to this work starting. I took pictures but they are more obvious when seen in person. 4. Breaking the crank handle connection to my deck awning rendering it unusable. 5. Damaging the drawer surround of the large drawer under the sink when they removed it to put in my dining room. 6. Unfinished section of rough plywood above my dishwasher 7. screw points that go beyond the depth of the plywood & pose damage to items in the top drawers (and my hands). 8. sloppy caulking work with gaps at several places. 9. gaps of as much as 3/4” between plywood counter end and the start to counter overhang, resulting in edges that extend significantly past the top edge of the drawers. 10. Respect for my personal property - they did their cuts outside and with the prevailing winds heading towards my house, they left all the sliding doors open. It was all over my drapes, upholstery, floors, art, books, EVERYTHING & cost me over $1000 to clean. They only put up protective plastic after I demanded and after all rooms had significant grind residue grey dust over everything. they still made no attempts to close the doors while they worked "because it was hot." Well, if you cleaned the grind residue on the patio before coming in, it wouldn't blow inside and then you could open the door! Urine on the floor in the bathroom I let them use.. etc. etc. And one of them obviously put something in my subZero refrigerator leaving caulking residue on the handles. I documented all the damage with photographs and sent them a list. No response to any and all calls. No attempt to repair trim that was damaged. Their lack of dependability was very frustrating. A job that should have taken 3 days, ran to 10 days in length during which time I was not able to use my kitchen. Lastly, “gaslighting” the customer is unacceptable. As I have said Oscar is a nice man but he is adept at making mistakes the customers fault. For example, I initially said the half inch protrusion off the wall was OK both ( they came twice to measure) because I didn’t want to delay the work (they were showing up late morning) and I did not realize the significance of the mistake until living with it. As a professional, Oscar knew it should have been made even with the wall. Oscar’s attitude when I realized that it was an unacceptable was that it was my fault somehow (that I had said it was Ok). Well, the fault was in the installation initially and I did not appreciate feeling like my house and my trust were disrespected. I would never use them again.
