Not only did David arrive quickly after my call, he fixed three lock-related problems I'd been living with for a few years. He is amazing and I highly recommend him! He was fast and courteous and professional and happily took on an additional task that I remembered as he was leaving. I called David in the morning and he was at my house within an hour. He efficiently and quickly changed my front door and back door locks, including modifying the doorknob on the back door so I wouldn't keep locking myself out. I had resorted to putting tape over the inside knob to remind myself to not lock it and so it wouldn't inadvertently lock itself when I turned it. That tape went on about 5 years ago. Just as he writing the bill for those two locks, it occured to me that I should ask him to take a look at the locks on the entry door of the garage. There's a lock in the doorknob, but the door itself had to be lifted to get it to close and lock because the hole and the latch in the doorhandle were at slightly different heights. To get the door to close all the way, I had to lift and slam it shut - sometimes several times - and I hated going out there because of it. Additionally, a deadbolt had been installed in the door, but no hole had ever been cut in the doorjam, effectively elminating the use of the deadbolt altogether. David fixed both those problems - he cut a hole in the doorjam so the deadbolt would work, he drilled out the bottom of the hole for the doorknob so I didn't have to lift the door AND he changed the locks so that the same key locked and unlocked both. So he fixed three problems for me this morning: the doorknob on the back door, eliminated me having to lift the garage door to get the door to latch, and made the deadbolt on the same garage door useful and effective. Money very, very well spent. Thank you, David!

David was very professional and pleasant. He had a genuine interest in informing me of the problem and also a neat trick to squirt WD-40 inside all of my door locks and latch mechanisms. This actually helped a kitchen door's deadbolt work smoothly and I had thought I was going to have to have worked on. David was response and did a great job. I rated his price "B" but I don't really know if that's a good price for lock repair -- it may be. I will say, I naively bought the $24.95 coupon thinking it would cover things, but looking back I realize that was too good to be true. The coupon covers the house call -- if I had decided not to use David for anything but an estimate, I would have been covered. To have the work done, cost the additional money (including the coupon applied to the total). But I would recommend David to anyone having any locksmith issues and gave him an overall grade of "A."

I called David to change the locks for a new home I had just purchased and add some dead bolt locks where needed. He was on time and vey thorough with his work and reasonably priced! He helped me pick out some locks to match the existing hardware which is old. I was not quite sure what to pick but he guided me on what what would look best and it looks amazing. I am a very picky when it comes to contractors...I will be using David from now on!!!

Our lock had broken and we weren't able to open the gate at all. David showed up that afternoon to fix the problem. He changed the lock and keyed it to our master key. He even gave us a drill bit for the area where the bolt goes in (stucco) as he said as the area settles it will need to be shaved down so the lock continues to work (he was right!). We've used the drill bit several times to keep the lock from sticking. He continues to check in every now and them to make sure it is working correctly.

It was great, except for the price (these types of keys are expensive, but David had the most reasonale price). David showed up on time and finished the work rather quickly. Enjoyable to work with, and introduced us to our contractor!

I found David on Angies list, just like I use Ang.list for all my work around the house. I called Saturday morning hoping he can come same day and replace old luck. He showed up at exactly time he promised very friendly with a big smile. I showed him my problem and he asured me that he will take care of it right a way. In about 10 min. he knocked at my door with a big smile again saying that everything is done and working great. I was really surprise I thought he will replace my old lock but he fixed it without replacing it. He is very honest and dedicated worker and his charges are very reasonable. I will make sure that all my friends , relatives and neighbors got his contacts.

It was $35 for the service call plus $30 for each rekey -- a total of $215. This was in line with his phone estimate, in which he had said the service call would be $35 and the rekeying would run, I think he said, between $20 and $35 depending on how hard it would be to do each lock. He was punctual, kind and courteous, and professional. He worked quickly and skillfully, and explained what he was doing as he went along. He showed me how to use WD-40 to lubricate my locks and keep them in good working condition, and he told me how often it should be done. I would not hesitate to ask call himin the event I need the help of a locksmith again.

Recently we moved to a new home. there was a problem with all doors, none of them closed properly. and this is a BIG PROBLEM when you have 18 month old twins running around trying to push their small fingers where ever they can. I called David who was very kind and understood the importance of the matter and came the same day. He was professional and knowledgeable. after he finished with what I asked for he checked all locks throughout the hose (doors,windows and gates). Very reasonable prices and very high standard of work. I will definitely use him in the future and recommend him to my family and friends.

I called D Locks to come out and re-key my house, and replace the locks on my front and back gates. was right on time as schedule and David did a fantastic job at a reasonable price. I especially like that he went above and beyond by checking all my old windows locks and reinforce them. All doors and windows are now in perfect working order.Not every day you have a chance to work with a professional that has integrity and actually take pride in he?s work.
