D Locks

I needed a locksmith to check out our safe and help with the combination as we couldn't open it (we had too many numbers). I called up David after reading the reviews here on Angie's List. He was very helpful on the phone and was challenged by our issue. He came over the next day, on time, courteous, kind, in good spirits, and within minutes he opened the safe. He knew our type of safe, knew we had too many numbers and he eliminated a few of them, and bingo, he opened it. He was awesome! We were so thankful for his prompt service, especially during the holiday season (he did the service on Dec. 24th). We highly recommend him for any locksmith services. We will use him again. Thank you!

I called David for a same day lock changing service and he was at my home within the hour. When he arrived, he immediately identified the problem with my lock, fixed it in less than five minutes, then explained to me how I could fix this problem myself in the future. Incredibly competent, fair, friendly, and only charged me a very reasonable service fee. I'd highly highly recommend D Locks to anyone in need of an excellent locksmith.

David was great!!! This is an owner/operated company which I always prefer. He arrived within the hour of my initial phone call for a non-emergency call. He was in and out within 15 minutes. He fixed the mechanism and adjusted where the lock meets w/ the door frame. He showed my husband how to do it himself for future adjustments. He was personable and professional. Wonderfully. David arrived on time, was courteous, very professional and honest. After he figured out the problem, he showed me the broken piece and replaced it quickly. He made the keys in his truck and tested them, all was great. I went home to meet him during my work lunch break and he fixed the lock and made the key very quickly, I arrived back at work on time! I'll definitely use David again!!

David, showed up on time and asked me what locks needed changing. After looking at all of them, he told me that I did not need to change the bottom lock on the garage door, or a bottom lock in my gym. He told me that the double bolt locks would be fine, and the bottom locks were very secure. He said that he was going to save me money. He did both locks in my family room and the front door. Also, he made me four extra keys. He is so professional and his work is impeccable. No mess left behind and much cheaper than I had anticipated. If you need a locksmith, you don't have to look any further; David is the only person that you need to contact; plus he is the owner...which goes a long way with me!! I give him a 12+!!

David was very prompt, messaging me a few times to confirm location and time. He actually showed up a few minutes early. Overall it took about 15 minutes to do the work and confirm the cost, which I think was very fair. The results were perfect. He also showed me how to properly lube the lock and how to better insulate my door.

Superb job. Very knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant and honest locksmith. He showed up on Sunday night and went right to work. He was quickly able to diagnose the problem and resolve it quickly and inexpensively. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

David was easy to reach and was very accommodating. I bought a "deal" from Angie's list, and David came out the next day. He was very professional, friendly and efficient. He did the entire job so quickly, and all the locks and keys work great. He went beyond what we expected. He made sure any smudges made from working on the locks were cleaned. We had one door handle that worked, but not well. He re-keyed that lock in addition to the deal, but since he recommended replacing it, he didn't charge us extra for that one. He also provided us with additional keys at no extra cost, and his price was very competitive. We were extremely satisfied with David and would definitely recommend him.

David responded immediately, and arrived exactly when he said he would. He repaired the lock with no problem and provided some additional rings in case we experience the same problem in the future. I give him an A+ for his service and professionalism. Would use him again and again, and recommend him to all my friends and neighbors.

David was great, he arrived when he said he was going to, he was professional and friendly. He installed the deadbolt lock exactly as I wanted and then even went on to repair a couple other locks that needed some minor tweaking. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a good locksmith!!

David arrived early. He gave an estimate if additional work was needed. It turned out that I only needed service call charge.

Excellent! David helped me figure out what would work best for the new house I'd purchased in Santa Monica. It involved advising me about the best doors for keyless locks and how to move locks around so I could have some re-keyed to have one key work on a number of locks, and also changing a doorknob lock so a keyless deadbolt lock could work on a certain door, programming the two keyless locks and showing me how to work them. He explained everything clearly. He told me the price before he began working, and it was very reasonable. He worked quickly and efficiently and was as nice as could be! I would definitely recommend him.

I could not have asked for a better experience. David was responsive and prompt to reply, was available the day I needed the service. He was efficient and finished the job quickly. Very friendly too! And he gave me a high-quality knob fixture to replace a broken door knob that's been bugging me forever. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely call DLocks again for any lock-related issues.

All went according to plan. Took a day and a half, Ari and Carlos were careful and precise, and the last hour, David came to make sure everything was working right and I was satisfied.

They were professional and polite. Unfortunately, I was not able to use the Big Deal because they don't service my area.

He had the necessary replacement materials in his truck, so the whole thing was very quick, and he was able to do the job the same day I called him, even though it outside of normal working hours. Got on Angie's List to find a locksmith. See a 'deal' for $24.95. Bought it. Went out to run some errands and see on my phone that there's a message from Angie. I figure it'll wait till I get home. Well..it was actually a message from David asking me to call him with the details of what I needed, which I did. He said he was on his way home and would be passing my place and could come this evening or tomorrow...up to me. I told him to come right over! He did. He explained to me what he found, went to his truck for the part and honestly...it's taking me longer to write this review!! Oh...and he gave a recipe to make my own Tahina and where to go buy the ingredients!!

I finally got around to joining Angie's List, and this is my first review. David was terrific. He met us on a Sunday morning, and actually brought coffee for us. He was extremely polite, and advised us candidly on what would be less expensive (purchasing our own assemblies at Home Depot), and what was necessary and recommended. He did a great job and charged a reasonable fee. Would definitely recommentd.

I discovered the lock on front door not working in the early evening. Went on Angie's list to find an A rated provider in my area. Bought a coupon and e-mailed Dave. He responded within minutes and asked for a phone number so he could get details. He called immediately, which was after normal working hours, and set up a time of my request for the next day. He arrived exactly on time, fixed the problem, and taught me how to fix the problem should it ever occur again. He also gave me an allen wrench to help me.
