D Locks

We have used himseveral times over the year and he has been amazing. We had to change our locks twice and the work was completed within hours of calling. We were also locked out on a satruday night and he came right out to let us in.

David was great, we called him very early in the morning because our pets had been locked inside of a bedroom all night. He showed up very quickly and rescued them for us. While he was here I showed him our broken deadbolt on the front door and he helped us with that as well. His prices were very fair and he was a pleasure to be around. I would definitely call him again for any locksmith work in the future.

David came the same day, had all the right blanks in his truck and was able to get the keys made and now we can finally lock the desks we've had for 20 years - I should have called David years ago. David is professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with - I will definitely call David again.

We had just closed on a home that was in short sale limbo for more than a year. The house was vacant for several months prior to closing--and had been broken into during that time. All the plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances, and copper pipes were taken (but that is another story...) Among the items stolen were spare keys and door remotes. I needed to have all the locks re keyed. I choose D Locks after reading reviews on Angie's list. I called on a Friday. Spoke with Dave and was immediately confident that he was going to do a good job. I described the situation--there are 10 outside doors on the house (including two sets of double french doors). We would be doing renovation work for several weeks. His first suggestion was to wait until the renovation was completed (assuming that we'd be giving keys to the contractor and we'd want to re key after the reno was completed). I explained about the theft of the keys--and he agreed that the best thing to do was re key now-- and set up one door with a unique key for the contractor to use. After the work was done, we could re key that single door to match the rest. We set a day and time for him to come out the following week. He would give me an estimate on the site and if that was acceptable, he'd do the work at that point. He arrived right on time. We did a quick walk around. There were 10 exterior door locks/dead bolts--from 2 manufacturers. He re keyed them so that all of manufacturer A locks were on one key and all of manufacturer B locks were on a second key. We picked a single door to use for the contractor's entrance and he put that on a 3rd key. When the work is done, the single lock will be re keyed to match the others. So in the end all the exterior doors will be on 2 keys. He told me it would cost 260 for all the work and we agreed to go ahead. He went to work immediately--adjusting to the other activity going on at the time. One of the locks had been broken when the house was broken into. Dave repaired that as well as making some adjustments on the existing doors. He finished up quickly I am more than satisfied with his work and recommend D Lock very highly. I will not hesitate to use him again. Thank you Dave!

Highly, highly recommend. I bought a deal from Angie's list, then called David. He showed up within hours of my call. I thought I was going to need a deadbolt replaced and re-keyed. He looked at it and repaired it saving me the cost of replacing and re-keying. Efficient and professional. Very likeable guy. I would use his services again if the need comes up and would definitely recommend him to anyone in need of a locksmith.

Great service. David showed up early and provided me with some extras at no additional cost (doors were sticking, and he corrected the issues on each). He was fast, courteous and everything worked well when he finished.

David arrived exactly at the promised time and in a moment had my front door lock working. He was charming, polite and knowledgeable, explaining how to fix the problem myself should it occur again. The whole job took ten minutes and the charge was a minimal amount, as advertised on Angie's list. David will be the first person I call if I ever have a problem with locks in my home again.

On time, accommodating and great service

David arrived on time and completed the work quickly. He was friendly and professional--he explained what the problem was and what he was doing to fix it. Because part of the problem was that our keys were old and worn down, he made several new keys for us at no charge. We will definitely call him again if we need a locksmith.

I did get an e-mail very quickly asking me to set up an appointment. He forgot about it however and I had to call him. He showed up an hour late and then said that my lock couldn't be re keyed but he would come back later in the day with another solution. It's now 7:00 PM and I'm still waiting. Update: he did call me back the next day and explained that he couldn't find the lock part that was needed. He was very nice as well so I have changed my rating.

David is fantastic! He is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I would definitely use him again for anything related to locks and safes.

We highly recommend D locks once again! David, owner of D locks, just came out to a second property of ours and he was able to repair?not replace?two door locks, saving us considerable money. His customer-service orientation is top-notch; after completing this recent job, David returned when I called a few days later saying that it was difficult to remove a key from one of the locks. A backpack was stolen with our house keys. Called David immediately and he arrived immediately! Excellent work and a thoughtful professional. Gave us several options on how to rekey the house. I needed the lock on my mailbox drilled out and replaced. David was at my house a couple of hours after the phone call and handled it quickly and with no fuss. Excellent service.

It went perfectly. David said he'd arrive between 8 and 8:30, and texted when he was en route to say that there was a lot of traffic and would arrive closer to 8:30. He got there right on time. He knew exactly what we needed-- one key that would provide our contractor access to the house through the side entrance only, and a master key that would open every door to the house, including the contractor's side entrance. He was incredibly knowledgeable and trustworthy. I will absolutely keep his number in my phone and use him again. A++++!

David had it all fixed in about 15 minutes and explained what he did. My front door now locks perfectly.

David contacted me promptly after I reached out to him. He showed up at my house within one(1) business day to perform a walk through and get a sense of what my needs were. After we sketched out a plan for what needed to be done, we scheduled the installation for the next day. Throughout the day he was available via text and phone for updates and help in guiding me on the elements I wanted to purchase, as well as contacting his suppliers for the specific parts I couldn't get. He was professional and courteous the whole time. He added a keypad to my front door. Installed a deadbolt on two doors. Added a keypad to my side entry gate. And rekeyed ~4 locks. All of the work was beautifully done with an equal eye on aesthetics and functionality. I would highly recommend D Locks. David even made some suggestions that saved me money. Telling me which elements were overkill and presenting a cheaper alternative that would offer the same functionality.

I called him Sunday morning and asked when he could come out. He said after his next appointment, in about 2 hours! He ended up getting here even sooner! He was fantastic! Knowledgable, friendly, helpful, funny, and he fixed my lock in 15 minutes. Turns out, when I'd tried to take the lock out the day before (to take it to a locksmith), I'd turned one of the set screws the wrong way and made it worse.... I don't normally write reviews, but David was SO good that everyone needs to know about him. I would use him again and gladly recommend him to my family members.

David is wonderful. His personality if extremely pleasant. He is professional and has a great sense of humor. He is extremely practical and honest. Overall, I cannot recommend him enough. He will be back to my place if I ever have a lock issue needing attention. He even came back when I thought something went wrong (it didn't).
