I first want to say that I did not want to write a bad review, and I have put this off for a year hoping it would not be necessary. I was looking for landscape/yard maintenance and found Brad Sayre's name with great reviews on Angie's List. In January of 2018 I set up an appointment for Brad Sayre to come to my house and consult on work that I needed done; yard maintenance, weeding, weed eating, trees cleaned up, pruning and some irrigation put in. Our property does not have landscaping completed. Our grass area was just green weeds, mowed. We had landscape plans drawn up but had not started yet. After talking with Brad he told me that he was not able to do the work. " That there was no money in it for him." He said that for the work I needed done that, " I should just hire some mexicans" to do it. He said that doing the work would not make him any money since I do not have any landscaping done and won't need regular maintenance. I explained that I had landscape plans drawn up and he said he would give me a quote to do the work on the plans. He said that if we had him to the landscaping then he would come and do the work I needed on the yard at that time. I said that once the landscaping was done I would want him to come every two weeks for maintenance. He said that he only weekly maintenance. So Brad took my plans with him to give me a quote for the work to be done. Here are the emails Brad and I exchanged back and forth. Can you please either mail them to me or drop them off by my mailbox. Thank you, Dayna Geary I have made 2-3 calls since the last email, asking for my plans to be returned. I have not been able to reach Brad and left voicemails. My husband has also called him a couple times, no answer so left voicemails, asking for the plans back. At this time, April 25, 2019, I still do not have my plans. I do have another set of plans I can use, so that is not the bigger issue for me. Some of my issues are the things he said during the meeting; that I should hire Mexicans to do it for me, that he said there was no money in it for him, that he said he'd do the work if I had him do the landscaping. I think there was a more professional way to handle the meeting. It is perfectly acceptable for him to say that he normally does bigger jobs, or that he is unable to do the work for whatever reason. I would totally understand that. I was uncomfortable when he told me I should just hire some Mexicans to do it. Then, I didn't even receive a professional estimate. I received an email with bad spelling and no information. Just "front" and "back" estimates. And had I gotten my plans back after that I wouldn't really have a problem. I would just chalk it to a meeting that didn't work, some unprofessional statements, and I would have gone on with my life. But that fact that I have been trying to get my plans back for a year, with voicemails and emails, and getting absolutely no response from him, has left me no choice but to leave a bad review.
