I was referred to GFYH via Pacific Sales. Their price was very expensive, but the ease of use of their website and estimating seemed attractive to me. I am way too busy in my own career to get tied up with contractors. A key for me was the ability to text and email. They were super slow at first to get the email connectivity worked out. Admittedly, it was my email server 1 time (Murphy's Law) but the other times seemed like it was just them not sending the emails then playing the "oh you didn't get it" card. They took my credit card info and a deposit before ever coming to measure the countertops, which was weird and they insisted this is what needs to happen. What was more weird was that they never charged the card until 2 weeks later. That was poor communication there, too. As to the timing, they said Vetrazzo moved their warehouses to Georgia which significantly changed our ETA's and timing, which of course, ended up costing me money with my contractor. Poor Communication AGAIN. The were supposed to have a designer contact us for planning of the back splash. They never did. And when we called, they said the designer is only available on tuesdays and thursdays. not so convenient for me nor my wife. But we made the appointment and due to more poor communication we missed the designer's appointment. Then when we called to reschedule they suggested that w would have to pay extra for this. I went off. Had I known they hadn't charged my credit card yet, I would have canceled the whole thing. But feeling compelled to give them another chance I had to firmly state my expectations and move forward. I have given them the benefit of the doubt up to this point, and look forward to amending this report with a more favorable report. Assuming the quality is A, and they redeem themselves in the communication and pricing areas. ********** update ****************** Communication improved remarkedly after I made clear my expectations. Though they still call my work number after I repeatedly told them not to call my work unless its urgent. So they installed the counter tops. Several corners were chipped. Their solution to this was to put an epoxy resin fill and sand it. It looks horrible. also, the edge behind the stove was cut wrong, so they had to send someone out again to re cut that. Though at least they sent someone right away, they managed to chip more corners. Also, I've never seen someone install tile and grout at the same time (doesn't the thin set need to dry before putting grout in?). And though I was under the understanding that the grout would be sealed, they didn't do it. ARGH!!!
