Door Dorks

ok. they had no parts to repair my existing make & model. Option was to let it be or buy whole new door opener. I was in pickle with timing and avail, so opted for new door opener. Was promised it would be exactly same or better than old one. In the end, they could not mate my vehicles indigenous door opener with the door opener, so they had to supply the more bulky garage door opener (clickers) to clip onto my visor. For the money, was not happy with the promise vs what was delivered...for the price paid.

He inspected the door before he was to provide the tune-up. He found it is in poor condition and a 'tune-up' would be of no value. He did not do a tune-up. He did replace the light bulbs in the automatic door opener on the ceiling at no charge. Yes, I would recommend Door Dorks. This was an appointment through Angie's List. Will I get a refund from Angie's List since no work was done?

Painless. Made needed adjustments and lubricated door springs.

Went well. The repairman was kind, clean and diligent in his work. He explained what happened to the spring and why it needed to be replaced. I'd easily have Door Dorks do work for us again.

Dorian did a great job of tuning up and repairing. Very prompt and professional work. The added work and cost needed in addition to the standard tuneup was reasonable.

It went fine. There were four springs total but two had already been replaced sometime in the last few years. Normally they would want to replace all four but they didn't pressure me to do all four since two were newer.

They called immediately, kept me informed on the arrival time of the tech, knew what to do and the price was fair. Great job. I'd call them again.

I had a sectional garage door that was 1.5 years new, and needed weight balancing (it was downward heavy). I found a Tune-up coupon for this job. Dorian was very professional, and balanced it very quickly (My door has torque springs). Then he did the rest of the promised tune-up items before leaving.

Matt the tech who serviced the door was great. He found the squeak in a place I had not thought of looking and aligned the sensors so the door worked properly. He also adjusted the connector on the drive chain, which I had installed improperly. Matt also gave me some advice on common problems that my type of door might develop and what to look for when I inspect it. I will definitely call Door Dorks for any future problems and recommend them to my neighbors.

They charge me another $75 in addition to the tune up to adjust the rails. The door is more quiet now but I was expecting for the rail adjustment to be included in the tune up.

Dorian and his assistant came out quickly, assessed the situation and, after hearing our desire for a door with windows, advised us as to our options and their prices. They were out the very next day to install an insulated door with a row of windows that has converted our "cave" into a beautifully lighted space. The insulation will modify the extreme heat and cold that we experienced with the weather changes in the past. We will be calling on them again whenever the closing mechanism gives out, but we were not pressured to replace it until it actually ceases to function. My husband watched the entire installation process and we were deeply impressed with Dorian's expertise and patience in training his new assistant, which turned out to be a learning experience for us as well. We are delighted with the results, grateful to Angie's List for the opportunity to learn of and to use Door Dorks, and will not hesitate to call upon them again or recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Terrific. I will definitely call them again. They were thorough and provided a great explanation on how to lengthen the life of my door.
