ATD Garage Door & Opener Service

Dan answered my call the next morning. He gave me an estimate which was slightly less expensive than the other company had quoted me who I had used a year ago for routine maintence. he said he had a cancellation and he was at my home within 45 min. He performed the repair, he installed 2 springs in place of one which the builder had installed so if either one breaks again I won't be stranded again and will be able to move the door up manually. He was knowledgable and explained about the life of the door and how to maintain it and was pleasant and friendly. I was very happy with his service and will definetly use him again.

Our single car garage door opener stopped working, so I called Dan to come out to take a look. Initially, we hoped he could just fix it, but when he opened the cover, he determined the motor had been damaged as the little plastic pieces meant to hold it in place had failed (old, brittle) and the motor and wires were moving around in ways they weren't meant to. Dan came out 2 days later to replace the door opener with a nice Liftmaster, chain model. He was efficient and pleasant. Dan even programmed the new opener into our old openers so both garage doors could be opened with a single "clicker" (using different buttons, of course.) Dan provided great work at very reasonable prices. We definitely recommend him!

Dan arrived a little late but kept us informed that his previous job was taking more time than he thought it would so no big deal. He was quick and professional and got the job done at a reasonable price. Enough said.

ATD was so busy with all the Angie's list referrals that he had to move me out a day. It was worth waiting for. The job was done quickly and I was very impressed with the repair that was done in the most cost effective manner possible. He told me that a little paint would cover the perforation and I was very satisfied with the work. ATD saved me the cost of a new door or panel. It was the best $125 I ever spent. Great job!!!

Called him to get an estimate and go it that day. We selected what we wanted that day and he ordered the door. He told us the type we ordered would take 2-3 weeks to come in as well as what we needed to have clear in our cluttered garage. He called when it came in and gave us a couple days notice of installation. Arrived in the morning and had it all done in a few hours. It turned out perfect.

Dan actually wasn't able to come himself due to a schedule change, but he quickly rectified the situation by sending a colleague, Dennis, instead. Dennis arrives promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem. The screws that held the arm that drives the single garage door on the track had been falling out and were stripped. I had replaced the screws myself but the problem kept recurring because the bar in the door was actually the problem. Dennis tuned both my single garage doors, spruced the doors up a bit, and bolted an industrial strength replacement bar to the door. Doors work like a charm now, for a very decent price.

My garage door opener track was stripped. It made a horrible sound when the motor went on, but wouldn't lift the door. First, I called the company posted on my garage wall by the previous owner. He said a repair would cost $295 but encouraged me to replace the whole opener at a cost of $400-$1,000. That sounded high, so I went to Angie's list and saw that ATD Garage Door and Gate Co. was very highly rated. I called in the evening and got a return call first thing in the morning. He came to my house right away, fixed the door in minutes. He also lubricated both of my garage doors, which makes them operate more smoothly and with less noise. He charged me $115. As a new Angie's List member this was my first experience finding someone to hire for a repair based on reviews. Have to grade "A". I felt lucky to find this highly rated business was also so close (a few miles away vs. a longdrive from elsewhere in the county/city). The house was built 22 years ago so we had definitely gotten our money's worth out of the garage door springs. When one spring broke I was not upset. I called on a Monday. Dan answered the phone and the appointment was set for the next day. He did say if there was any problem with fixing the springs he gets parts on Tuesdays and Thursdays so he would return to complete the job on Thursday. This was the only 'what if' and I was glad it was talked about. When he came to do the work he had parts that would work and replaced both side springs as doing only one would not enable the door to function properly or evenly. He gave me a two-hour window of time and arrived about an hour into it after checking in with me from the job he was just leaving. Both springs were replaced and he did not leave any mess or parts. He assured me the old metal springs would be recycled (important to me). He used some hinge bolt lubrication spray on the other single garage door explaining the product to me and the several sites he was spraying it with a very directed tube nozzle.. That door no longer squeaks and operates like new. As he was leaving I noticed he was on the phone with his earpiece inthe driveway, probably returning another customer call, before driving away. Excellent service and attitude. An all-around terrificexperience. Highly recommend this business. Also very happy my first Angie's List use went so well.

He was extremely kind and knew exactly what he was doing. This was a personable experience. They made me realize that there are still good companies out there that time great pride in their work. I also feel the price was very reasonable.

Arrived on time, asked questions related to services needed, went above and beyond with the repairs, charged exactly what we were quoted over the phone yet did a little extra for us and the door works better than it did when it was brand new. The service was very quick - highly recommend.

Very prompt and up-front about their availability and cost - no wasted time in the process. We received a lesson on maintenance (what kind of lubrication, where to spray it, etc.) to cut down on future repair costs. Very happy with the end product.

After one of us backed the car into our garage door, we thought we'd have to get it replaced and expected to pay at least $1000, but Dan Neely suggested that we just replace the two bottom panels, since they were the only ones affected. Though the company that made the door is no longer in business, Dan knew of a company that made matching doors, so he ordered the two panels and installed them for a total price of $455. Needless to say, we're very pleased with his service! He was very efficient, and obviously is honest and interested in saving us money, or he would have replaced the whole door.

Father and son team were responsive, professional and obviously knowledgable. They arrived promptly, recognized the reason for my door problem and other potential problems. They corrected the problems quickly and explained everything to me clearly. I am very pleased with their work.
