They were landscape designers and they booked themselves as being very eco friendly. It started out so positive and then it ended up kind of funky. They were extremely expensive. Everybody has been telling me that we got took. I didn't know what the going rate was and I got so excited about the eco consciousness. They did a fine job both visually and they put a lot of sense into the design. They would take our calls and get back pretty quickly but there was some dissatisfaction at the end and we were kind of borderline about how they handled it. It wasn't a happy time. It started out fine but it got funky quickly. There was a big discussion over a big hill on our property and they wanted to do one thing and I wanted to do another. They went ahead and implemented their solution before consulting me. I said no I didn't want that. First of all it was the most expensive option and they just went ahead and put it in. We had to have them take it out and do what we wanted. They promised free maintenance, like 2 or 3 months of free maintenance. It's a rental property so I'm not there so I don't know if they ever came to do it. My wife says they never finished. The design was very sparse. There were a lot of redwood chips went down and a lot of little baby plants very few and far between so it looks very bare. One time we went to inspect it and we couldn't find a lot of the plants long after the project was done. I personally went to inspect it and the guy walked me thru and pointed out in the design this is this and that's that and there was something there for everything on the design. The design was definitely completed and the idea was that it was going to fill in on down the road. When my wife and I went to check it out it did look a little sparse and it could have been birds or whatever. They promised certain things to make it right and that's a little dicey and a lot of ifs. I was happy with the end result but my wife is not happy but she didn't see it until later. They did do what they said they would do. But this whole thing of the cost and the handling of the massive mistake that took place near the end of the project was kind of weak. When I look back on the experience I kind of cringe.
