Red did an excellent job. He was very responsive, prompt, and he did everything he promised on the estimate. His prices are fair, and he even helped me save a bit of money by giving me advice about purchasing fixtures. When we blew a GFI, he even came out on short notice to replace it. I will definitely use Red again.

He showed up on time, completed the work as agreed and even set the clock on my microwave which had never been set. Would use him again.

When the parts arrived Red scheduled another time to return and complete the repairs.. We were greatly impressed with his professionalism and qualifications. Arrived on time for both the estimate and work, finished the same day. We offered to have him run outside the wall and under the eaves but Red preferred the cleaner path snaking thru the wall and attic, at much greater effort (ever try snaking a cable of four conductors of #2 wire through right-angle turns?). Red came back when the inspector questioned some points (it was done correctly but I needed Red's explanation and a sample of the cable to satisfy this inspector) and didn't charge for the return visit. I would definitely hire Red for any electrical job and would recommend him to anyone.

Fixed loose wires that caused weird electrical issues. Took a long time to sort problem but didn't charge for all the labor time. Will be using to upgrade panel and install recessed lights next week.

Last month I had Red from Affordable Electric out to install recessed lighting in my kitchen. We were so pleased with the repairs he had made to our ceiling fans and with the installation of a sensor light a few months prior, we got a quote from him for the recessed lighting. Not only did Red do a great job installing the lights and patching our ceiling, he covered my cabinets and doorways to keep the dust from spreading throughout the house. When he finished with the installation, he cleaned and swept the kitchen. I highly recommend him for all your electrical repairs and installation.

He was professional and friendly. Figured it all out in a jiffy. When he had the opportunity to charge us more for something that wasn't necessary, he didn't, and advised us to do something else because it would just not be worth it to us. Honesty is such a rare thing nowadays.

He never called back although he promised to....

Red arrived on the date and time as scheduled. He replaced our old sensor light over our garage and fixed three (3) of our ceiling fans. After installing the sensor light, which he provided and works way better than the one we bought, he went on to explain the problem with our ceiling fans and how much it would cost to fix them. We found Red to be very profession and are very please with his work. We also got a quote from him for recessed lighting in our kitchen, which we again found to be a fair price and plan to have him back again soon. If you are in need of an electrician, we highly recommend Red for the job.

Red and his son came out to do the much needed service panel upgrade. the prior home owner had overloaded the system and some scorched wires were seen on the home inspection. the whole process was great. they upgraded the panel to a full size panel (with full size breakers) with lots of room for expanding. they restucco'ed the hole and patched the walls inside to attach proper grounds. a little bit on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for with them. they're going to be our electricians from here on out!

Red called me back the day that I called. He came over to look at the job within the week. He gave us some suggestions for the outside lights. We ordered the lights and he came about a week later to install them. There was no hassle!

On the first visit J. R. looked at our wiring and said we needed thicker wires, 8-gauge, for a 40-amp oven, and we only had 12-gauge wires. Apparently our old oven was not using the correct wiring, which may have been why it died (though it was an old oven). He also said the range wasn't connected quite right. Red and J. R. came back a few days later and installed the new wiring through our attic, changed our circuit breaker, and put in a new junction box. They finished pretty quickly, in a couple of hours. They gave us an Angie's List discount as well.

The overhead light/fan in my son's room (which was desperately need in this hot weather), the lights in the master bath and walk-in closet, and the outlets in two bedrooms plus the master bath area stopped working. I called Affordable Electric who scheduled me in later the same day. The electrician (I'm sorry but I don't recall his name) called to ask if he could come earlier than scheduled, which was great. When he arrived he was polite and attentive. He listened as I explained the problem and what I had done already to try to resolve the issue myself. As he was checking things, the circuit started working again. This was troublesome because no specific problem had been identified. I reviewed the details of what I had observed again (overhead light/fan worked, didn't work, worked, and finally didn't work; unable to reset the GFI outlet, etc.). He again looked for possible causes to this on again/off again situation. He finally found that the initial outlet on the circuit was very old and showed signs of overheating. He replaced that outlet, redid something so that the triggering of the GFI outlet didn't shut down the remaining circuit, and everything has been working fine since. He pointed out that most of the outlets in my house (built 1976) would probably benefit from replacement and gave me a general price range for each type of outlet. I was given the Angie's List discount even though I hadn't printed the coupon, but just mentioned that I had selected them from Angie's List. I would not hesitate to call Affordable Electric again, or recommend them to anyone who needs electrical service done.

He and his son did the electrical box and the outlets in one day and came back and did the light fixtures when I had them. The work was done well and they were a pleasure to have around the house. His prices are good and you get a discount for angie's list. Red and his son are good people and they know their business.

I took him only 45 mins to find the root cause, fix and clean up. I am pretty happy customer.

Red and his son came three times to finish the work, which was done very well. When the outdoor lighting was too bright, they installed dimmers. They were on time and very professional.

Went great! Punctual, did fantastic work, the lights all work great & we hired them again within the next month to do more work.

I called and left a message on their main line. They returned my call within 5 minutes and set up a time for later that afternoon. JR arrived within the timeframe we agreed upon. He was very polite and knowledgeable and went straight to work. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and fix it in about 45 mins. Everything went great. I'll definitely call them for any future electrical work / repairs.

Red and his son, JR, came out to do the job. The job went well. I required exterior power for three devices: a tankless water heater, a carbon house filter, and a soft water tank. They drew power from an existing interior outlet, and they wired the new outlets from underneath the house. They made one normal exterior outlet for my tankless water heater, and they made a big super jumbo exterior outlet for my carbon house filter and soft water tank because both of those devices had on two transformers. Since they wired underneath the house, you can't even see the new wires. It looks seamless, as if it was there when the house was first built. JR also fixed an exterior outlet that was not up to code while his dad, Red, fixed a troublesome light switch for me on the inside. It was a job well done. Later on, JR even came back to help me with a breaker issue, that was completely separate. He didn't charge me for the work performed.

True professionals 110% all the way. Made appointment 3 days earlier and on day and time of appointment, Ray called to apologize that he is still at another job site and that his son JR will come instead. JR came on appointed time, assesed the problem, identify the source and fixed it. Culprit was a bad wall socket in room that was never use! Charge was most reasonble! Highly recommended! Will definitely let friends and neighbors know about Affordable Electric. Thank you Angies list!

Took about half hour to fix items: two wall outlets, one old outlet in garage for washer/dryer. He was very good at figuring out the problems, went to work immediately, answered my questions, very good experience.
