I'll Handle IT

The experience was excellent. He installed my range hood. He did a good job, cleaned up and hauled everything away for a good price. He is a very nice man.

Dave was great. He is very professional and I can depend on him to do a thorough job.

Dave at I'll Handle is a gem. Each task was done perfectly. Dave is knowledgeable, experienced and capable. Not the cheapest; but efficient, hardworking and great value. Also important, he knows when not to try something different. (Some handymen do not know their limits and may botch up a job.) Also, Dave is highly professional. He understands the importance of written quotes, communicating about issues before starting and providing choices.

Dave of I'll Handle It removed the deteriorated window frame and installed new brick mould on top and sides. He also replaced the wooden sill, caulked all joints with polyurethane caulking and primed and painted all repairs. Cutting out the sill was not a simple matter but the work was expertly done and I'm completely satisfied with the result. Dave allowed sufficient time for the project so the job wasn't rushed and, of course, he cleaned up the work area on completion.

Once again Dave and company did an excellent job. Communicated prior and during the work so there were no surprises. Cleaned up afterwards. Competitively priced and nice knowing that no job is too small (it's often tough to find a contractor who will take on the smaller jobs). Looking forward to getting a quote for additional work needed for repair of dining room drywall.

Great! Dave did excellent work, was very responsive in communicating with us to set up the appointments and discuss the work, was punctual, and, to top it off, is a great guy! He gave us excellent advice prior to the cooktop installation, when we were considering what cooktop to buy (there were particular questions about its fitting in the space we have and whether we would need a new exhaust system). I sent him the info about the cooktops we were considering and he came to measure with those in mind. He also advised us about the length and type of safety bars to buy. He goes the extra mile (as it were) to be helpfu. We will recommend him to friends, and will certainly use him again the next time we need a handyman.

After a couple of tries to contact this person, nobody called or email us back. Guess they were too busy or the repair was too small. This is my first ever review.

He was absolutely wonderful! Courteous, transparent, friendly, and honest in his work. He came in, gave me a quote, and finished faster than he originally anticipated - all in one day! I really appreciate his great work and would use their service again!

Dave did a remarkable job working on a kitchen appliance project for me. He was professional, proficient and tidy. I will hire him again the next time I need his services and I will be referring him to my friends and neighbors. He is one of the finest craftsman I have ever worked with.

He Was 3 hours late and I had to keep calling to see if he was going to show up

Dave arrived a little early (good) and got right to it. Removed the old one, installed the new one, and loaded everything to take to the recycling location. Quick. Efficient. and Very competitively priced. Will rehire again whenever we have something he can do.

Dave arrived when he said he would, removed the door to take back to his shop. He returned 3 days later, also on time, and replaced the door. He then removed rotten wood around the window and replaced it with wood that he had primed. He was efficient, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. He seems willing to tackle any job and likes to solve problems. In short, a perfect handyman. His;price was very reasonable. I will definitely use him again.

Replaced roof starter board, trim board, and portion of end rafter that were damaged by termites. When getting estimates, two providers wanted to do a significant amount of work for a lot more money. David came out and suggested a much cheaper solution to repair rather than replace some sections. He and his assistant arrived at the arranged time and started work. During the work, they found more termite damage than was first visible. He suggested a solution that wouldn't add much to the initial cost and they did that also. They primed and painted the new wood to match the other boards and cleaned up everything after. What I really liked about working with this company is that they are interested in keeping the cost down, in contrast to many other companies I've worked with that often up-sell to give themselves more work and therefore more money.

We came home to a water heater that had hot water spraying out of a broken hose at 8:00 on a Thursday night. The water was spraying so hard it was cutting a hole in the drywall behind the water heater. We called Dave and he instructed us to turn off the water to the house, and he came over right away to install a brand new hot water hose that he'd picked up for us on the way. We've had Dave do work for us in the past. He installed a gas cooktop a few years ago that was slightly larger than the previous model. He was able to enlarge the hole in the tile countertop without damaging the tile, and the installation went very smoothly. Just weeks ago, we had Dave replace a leaky faucet and repair a couple of light fixtures, and we were again very pleased with his work and professionalism. When we had trouble with the water heater, we called him first. Dave is easy to communicate with, does good work, charges reasonable rates. We'll definitely be calling him again.

Dave is fast and accurate. He though he'd be here at noon, but was able to get here earlier, and was finished sooner than I expected. The one problem he couldn't fix, couldn't be fixed because the parts had fused together. He was honest about not being able to make the repair and explained why. The items that were repairable, he repaired quickly and efficiently. He's neat and tidy and does a great job.

He replied very quickly (about 2 hours) to my request for an estimate. The work we need done is not something he is used to doing, so rather than take the job (and our money) and give it a whirl, he instead declined the work and said it should be referred to someone more specialized in what we needed. I truly appreciate that he did that, and will certainly consider him for future work.

Dave gave a very reasonable estimate and offered several ideas to save a little money in ways that the other companies who bid did not mention. He arrived on the scheduled day and went to work removing the rotted and damaged boards right away and cut back damaged boards that connected the fascia to the roof on one side of the house. He returned the next day; replaced all boards as needed and not only primed and painted those but also painted other boards that had not needed replacement to improve the overall look of the house. He had taken a part of a board he removed the first day and color matched it at the paint store so it looks great! I am very pleased and will certainly recommend him to anyone who asks and contact him for any future jobs I need to have done. B. Holt

The bad news is because of the demand for his services we needed to schedule 2 months in advance. THE GOOD NEWS is because of the demand for his services we needed to schedule 2 months in advance. When the time came he was there early in the morning with his assistant ready to begin working. The quality of the work was excellent and done in two days when his quote was for three days. His quote broke down the work in great detail, so it was possible to make an informed evaluation before agreeing to have the work done. Even though Dave needs to be scheduled one or two months ahead, it is worth it because you know you will get quality workmanship done in an expedited manner. I have already scheduled him to return to install a ceiling fan and pullout drawers in the pantry.

I'll Handle It did a fantastic job! When Dave came out to the house to give us a bid on the jobs, he was honest in telling us that he might not be able to perfectly match the color of the stain on the cabinets to match the other cabinets in the room. He took a cabinet door home to try to find the closest match possible. On the day of the job, Dave and Ryan arrived promptly on schedule and got straight to work. Throughout the day, Dave checked with me to see that the stain was the color we were looking for. Dave and Ryan are friendly, hard working professionals. We were very pleased with their work. We will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Excellent. I contacted Dave and despite a busy schedule, was able to work with me to get an ideal time to come and do the work. He was always responsive and positive. He came in and, in the hour, replaced the fan. I have a whole slew if repairs that need to be done and look forward to working with him in the future.
