I'll Handle IT

Dave and his assistant did an excellent job. Performed all the jobs I requested professionally and in the time they estimated. They did a thorough clean-up so when the jobs were completed. I would definitely hire Dave Pfizenmeier again and would be happy to recommend him to my friends or anyone else on Angie's List.

Why didn't I call Dave in the first place? A handyman was recommended by my realtor, and when he messed up the project, I called Dave. I had worked with Dave's company a couple of years ago, and worked with a very nice guy named Keith. I had not met Dave before. For a rental home that I own, I asked the handyman recommended by the realtor to remove sliding closet doors that were plain (no paneling) and replace them with doors that had panels similar to the doors that open into the study. I asked that they be painted Swiss Coffee. We discussed the project: The doors were an odd size, so he would have to order the doors from Lowe's. The ONE day I could not make it to the rental (I had been there 15 days in a row, all day... was the day the handyman hung the doors. I was shocked to find that he had not ordered the proper sized door. Instead, he bought doors in stock and cut 2 inches off the bottom. However, he did not put a piece of wood at the bottom of the doors and did not sand the bottom, so the bottom looked "rough." Since the doors are hollow, you could place your fingers into the "inside" nothingness of the door at the bottom. The paint job was mediocre and only on the front side. I called Dave. What a God send! He explained that it's not unusual to have to cut doors, but he always saves the bottom part that was cut off and then glues it to the cut bottom, sanding it and painting it. I told him I didn't have the bottom part that was cut from the doors. He said no problem. He came out and set up sawhorses in the garage and fixes both doors but making an insert for the bottoms and clamping them. I told him I wanted to paint the doors because I didn't like the paint job that was done. He was kind enough to leave the sawhorses for me, even though he thought he might need them for his next job. I painted the fronts and backs of the doors, and he hung them the next day. He was so nice, he even said I did a good job painting! A day later the lock on the handle of the back door slider broke. I called Dave. He took the handle off and secured the back door with a piece of wood so no one could enter. He then spent over an hour on the internet finding the correct handle after he went to Home Depot and they didn't have it. He said it was a special handle (reverse clamp?). I tried to find the handle on the internet and bothered him with so many emails as to whether I had found the right handle. I ordered the one he recommended and had it shipped to his home and he installed it the day after he received it. Dave is the "A Team." Once you find the "A Team," you should stick with them and forget calling anyone else! He is very responsive my phone, text or email. He knows what he's doing and is the consummate professional. I'm sure my little jobs were way beneath his expertise, but he performed them without complaint and did a fabulous job. It's hard to find someone like Dave! I would recommend him to others and will definitely call him again.

Shown on-time with well knowledge of what to do. Our ceiling fans broke down for several months and finally got it fixed today. He even take care of the old broken ceiling fans for us. Thanks so much.

We had two cupboard doors under the kitchen sink that we had not been able to keep adjusted. In fact, we thought they were broken. Another door to the pantry had one hinge that was completely ripped out of the door. I couldn't find a replacement door, nor could I repair the damage. Most of the other cabinets were not adjusted or tightened properly. It had been this way for years. I asked Dave to just fix the doors under the sink, and if possibly repair the pantry door. Dave gave me an estimate for this work which I thought seemed fair, $175. It was much less than another handyman had quoted. Not only did Dave fix the doors under the sink, he repaired the pantry door. It looks like a piece of art the way he fixed it. Then, without asking, he adjusted all of the cabinets so they were tight and lined up properly. We are so happy with Dave's work and will definitely ask him to do some additional projects. I found I'll Handle IT via Angie's List and he proved to be as great as everybody else has already said. Very professional, easy to work with, gave us a few options for the project. We are already booking our next job with him.

It went great--amazing service and the owner is a consummate professional!

Dave was VERY nice but said my attic made it a very difficult job and couldn't be done in the time I had available. He said there were too many electrical cables and water pipes laying across the floor of the attic and the beams would cause the cat walk to be slanted in some areas. Dave took several good photos for me so I could understand what he was talking about. It didn't seem worth the time and cost anymore to do this work. I would recommend Dave although he didn't do any actual work for me and RB is also quite a distance from his business location.

Dave was very responsive and very easy to work with. He provided written estimates for the two projects very quickly and they were very reasonable. We agreed to a schedule for the work and Dave was right on time. There were no surprises during bthe job and it was completed on time and with high quality. I would recommend Dave for any home repair project - he is great.

I'll Handle It was exceptional. I found David to be a person of intergrity, care, and phenomenal craftsmandship and artistry. His repair of my plaster ceiling (where a water pipe had leaked) to be flawless. The ~ 1-foot section of eves along the roof was equally flawless. Prompt, considerate, personable, and technically knowledgable and skilled--I highly recommend Dave and I'll Handle it. In addition, pricing was affordable and fair.

All services were performed professionally, and results were outstanding. Prices are very reasonable (even has Angie's list discount) and are provided upfront in a professional bid, the contractor is punctual and very responsive (phone, text, and email), and takes good care of your home during the job. I would highly recommend Dave if you are looking for handyman services, small to large.

I was very satisfied with the service and the work done by this company. Everyone was courteous and accomodating to my requests. They were fair about the pricing and I would feel confident in trusting them to take on other tasks in the future.

1} I needed next day service and I'll Handle It did just that. Fit in my need for new disposal asap. 2} Gave me a time frame and fit my schedule. The next morning he called and said he could get there 15 min early which worked out even better for me. 3}Already had the part/disposal needed...actually a couple to choose from. One that was a directly replacement and another that was an upgrade if I wanted it. No pressure just had options which was terrific!! 4} Completed job in an hour. Great for a job that is paid hourly!!! 5} Gave me some great advice on maintenance. 6) Offered me his card and suggestions for future jobs which we will definitely call him on!! We could not be more pleased with all the work Dave has done for us. This review is for work Dave has done last June as well as the latest work in January 2014. We find him to be completely professional, knowledgeable and he responds quickly in a timely manner. Dave was able to work around several challenges with installing the attic ladder and the finished result not only functions well but looks great (the attic opening is in an upstairs hallway). We will absolutely call Dave at I'll Handle It for our all-too-frequent repair needs and also refer Dave to our friends and family.

Excellent work. I couldn't be more pleased. Dave was right on time, called in an assistant when I added things to his to-do list at the last minute, and completed all work, including a trip to Home Depot, in less than 3 hours. He anchored 3 pieces of furniture, replaced 2 lightbulbs, caulked 2 bath tubs and repaired a toilet paper holder. I'm going to use him in the future for more projects!

We have a rental house in San Diego. I found Dave on Angie's List and gave his number to my renter to have Dave install a gas cooktop which we provided. The new cooktop was slightly larger than the old one, so the hole in the tile countertop had to be made bigger before the new cooktop could drop in. This is what my renter had to say: "Dave and his crew replaced a gas stove top for us. He returns his calls right away (sorry to say that's a little surprising in the contractor community). He was on time (to the minute) and his work was professional (I'm pretty sure he left the kitchen cleaner than he found it). His rates are reasonable and his attitude was positive and pleasant. They were on time, extremely polite, and very professional. I would use them again. I don't recall the price but remember it was reasonable.

I manage properties and as such have dealt with a lot of home care specialists. I've had my share of not so pleasant experiences but I have to say that working with Dave was an absolute pleasure and I would definitely hire him again. He was on time, accurate with his assessments, clean, polite, and knowledgeable. I cannot tell you what a relief it is to find a good handyman.

It went very well. He's very nice, very thorough and his work is awesome. I absolutely plan to use him in the future for several other projects that I have lined up.

Dave responded quickly to emails. He was flexible in scheduling time to complete work. His price was fair. He was on time, and did an excellent job.

There were some unforeseen challenges along the way and it took longer than originally planned, but the end result was excellent. He was very helpful as well as professional and I would definitely use him again.

Dave was very responsive from the original e-mail I sent him until the work was finished. It had to be coordinated since we were having new quartz countertops installed and wanted to have all the work completed on the same day. the same day and the cooktop couldn't be installed until the countertops was installed, He was very flexible with the dates and understanding about any rescheduling that had to occur. He was very punctual for all of his appointments with us and was the only handyman who actually took measurements and looked at the items we needed to have installed when he came to give us an estimate. The work was done efficiently and completed in one visit. Everything looks fantastic and we are very pleased with the finished product. We are currently in the process of contacting I'll handle it to get an estimate on other work we need completed in our home.
