They were really honest. They came out right way and fixed the problem with ease. I thought it was going to be the worst. I definitely would recommend them to others, and I think that I will stick with them for a while.

I thought I was going to have to replace my unit because it is very old but instead they replaced the part for a reasonable price. They came out in a few days and had the work done in about two hours. The repairman was clean and polite.

They did an outstanding job installing my central air and furnace. They were very thorough, making sure everything was in good working order. I had a slight problem with the digital thermostat and they came out promptly to fix it.

The sales person was courteous and did not use high pressure tactics. The installation crew was very professional and took their time to do a good job. The laid runners over carpet in the home and took care not to make a mess. Their pricing was reasonable and they offered wide options to choose from in regard to equipment. I would highly recommend.

ASI called me on a Friday to inform me that I was due for my annual A/C maintenance, and that they were running a special. I made an appointment for that following Tuesday with a 3 hour window between 11am and 2pm. I received a phone call about 11:30 informing me that the tech was on his way, which was very helpful as I have dogs and I needed to secure them. The tech arrived at 11:37, and went straight to work. He cleaned the filter in the attic and cleaned the A/C unit, tested the compression and added a little coolant. He also noticed some wires that were exposed and repaired them. Everything with my unit was working well. My only complaint is that when he was rinsing the A/C unit with water to remove dirt, the dirt that was removed was left on my patio for me to clean up. Not that big of a deal, but it should of been taken care of.

Many service calls until unit operated correctly and made less noise.

We had a great experience with ASI Hastings. The estimator was on time, very knowledgeable, and thorough. The estimate was detailed and included everything so there were no surprise charges later on. The estimate was actually the highest of the 3 that we received, but only slightly, and the company had great staff, response time and reputation, so we went with them. The crew showed up exactly on time and were very professional and personable. The job was finished faster than was originally estimated - which was great for us. The only complaint that we have is that the system is noisier than we were promised due both to the air flow and the motor sounds from the furnace. The crew was very neat and cleaned up meticulously as they worked - we only have a couple of little paint touch-ups that we will need to do. I would highly recommend ASI to anyone.

This company was fantastic to deal with. From the price quote to performing the job. They were prompt, courteous and did a great job in a timely manner. They did the entire job in less than a full day, were clean, and thorough in the installation. They even programmed my new thermostat to my liking and showed me how to make changes, if desired. I Highly recommend them for your heating or air conditioning service or problems. Very nice people to deal with, too.

David Adams, the estimator, showed up on time, and did a very thorough job preparing the estimate -- checking the sizes of existing equipment and calculating the airflow to determine the proper equipment size. He thoroughly checked for installation problems -- that all the A/C ready parts in my house (wiring, drains, pipes) were really there and correctly connected. He was very willing to answer questions, and explain the choices available. Unfortunately, because they were expecting price increases from their suppliers, the estimate I was given was only valid for 4 days. Their price was about 20% higher than other estimates I received for similar equipment.

ASI installed the heater on time and on budget.

Job took three days. Asbestos removal done by subcontracted company the first day then two days to remove and replace furnace and ducting. Cleaned up after themselves. Changed the direction of a duct fitting at my request without additional charge as well as a few incidental "fixes" that were not part of the contract. Pleasant personalities. Answered all questions and explained reasons and options. Easy to work with regarding placement of exhaust pipe.

The tech arrived, did his job and told my wife that everything was just fine. We tuned on the thermostat a week later and discovered that the furnace was not coming on. Called the company and were given a 3 hour window for a tech to come back. He spent an hour working on the unit, and told us he replaced a bad switch and everything was fine. When we turned on the heat in the evening hours, we were again left without heat. Called the shop again and waited again 3 hours for a tech to arrive, he diagnosed a faulty thermostat as the reason and gave a $300 estimate for replacing it. We declined, played with the existing thermostat after he left, and got it to work after correctly programming it.

It got off to a bad start. Wrong phone number, but ASI more than made up for it. I got a super job, performed by a most competent and courteous technician. Was given a price reduction to compensate for my inconvenience. I would recommend ASI to anyone wanting this service. Which in my case was superb from beginning to end.

I was impressed with ASI from the beginning. When I called to make an appointment, they were courteous and knowledgable. I got an appointment when I wanted. The company left voice mails on both my home phone and cell phone the day before to confirm the appointment and to give me a two hour window. The technician arrived promptly at the beginning of that window. He was very polite, accommodating, and answered all my questions thoroughly. Neither the air conditioner nor the heating unit needed repair in the end so I just paid for the inspection. He also changed the filter.

Alvin, the technician, seemed to know what he was doing. I must say he was not the most outgoing person, but he was not rude or disrespectful either. He opened up the unit, cleaned the filter, and vacuumed the dust out of our unit. Those were things that I could have done myself. He then made a couple of minor adjustments with a screwdriver and measured the burners for carbon monoxide output. Fortunately for us, our 15 year old unit was working fine, and he didn't have to do to much to it. We probably could have had SDG&E do the same testing. It was just comforting to know that he had the knowledge to repair or notice something not working, more so than an SDG&E worker might know. I would definitely hire them again. Even though our unit is 15 years old and close to the age where it should be replaced, they didn't push me to get a new unit from them, which was nice as well.

We interviewed six companies and thoroughly researched their product lines. We found the products recommended by Eric at ASI to be top quality and more reasonably priced, and the manufacturer was offering a $600 rebate. Eric talked us out of an upgraded system that we were considering because we wouldn't see a return on our money by way of reduced electric bills. Scheduling installation had a few fits and starts because my husband was unexpectedly deployed, but Eric kept in touch with me until I was in a position to proceed. Removal of the existing heater and duct cleaning was scheduled for the day before the installation. Each crew was on time, which was a plus because I work. The install took four hours. The crew was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the features of the new AC and thermostat before they left.

ASI Hastings evaluated the duct work in the attic and found it to be old and leaking. They replaced it all, and have improved the efficiency of the HVAC unit significantly. One item of note, the boots were made of asbestos and did have to be removed by another company. ASI did not discover this until they were into the job. They had to stop, and let the other company do their job. As a result, the HVAC was not functional for that period. Other than missing the asbestos at bid time, this was a job well done.

After much deliberation, I decided to go with ASI Hastings. They werent the least expensive, but their pricing was competitive, and the "12 months same as cash" financing was a welcome bonus. The fact that they returned all phone calls promptly was one of the things that impressed me most during this busy season. Dan came out and gave me several estimates/options after performing an inspection of my property. John and Tino did the installation and were prompt, professional, clean, and courteous. ASI followed up with a phone call to make sure I was happy, and sent a technician out with a new register to insure more sound dampening when I complained of noise. ASI answered my many questions and addressed my concerns with patience and professionalism. As hard to please as I am, I am now very happy with my new AC system, and have no complaints.

Estimate and all work was very satisfactory. This company is first class.

The technician was very knowledgeable and worked with us not only to fix the problems but to keep them from recurring. He gave us several options as far as how much work to do to keep A/C functioning and free from further interference from lint from w/ dryer in same vicinity vs. very expensive replacement of A/C. The company was completely professional, the technician was exactly on time during both visits and we were very gratified that there are still businesses "out there" who are run in such an efficient and professionally responsible manner. Even though we were in the middle of a summer heat wave they came out the next day as promised. The young service man was very nice. My mother was thrilled with the whole experience.

It took awhile to get an appt, but it was worth the wait. I have an older a/c unit that came with the house and I wanted to make sure it worked properly. Don completed a detailed inspection and cleaning and it turns out that my unit works just fine. Don did not try to sell me a new unit (he was honest and said I really dont need one) but gave me a ballpark price in case I want to upgrade to a quieter and more efficient model. Don was also on time, very polite, and the service call was reasonably priced.
