Dean was punctual, friendly, professional and accommodating in his approach to customer service. He made the extra effort in rsecuring approval to replace parts that did not meet our expectations at no charge. We highly recommend Dean and ASI Hastings.

This was a very positive experience overall. While I'm sure no one likes to spend $5,800, the furnace and A/C in my condo were over 25 years old and I knew they were ready to be retired. I received 3 estimates from different companies for this job and went with ASI. In terms of price, ASI came in the middle of the pack, but the fact that they could do it quickly and seemed very professional made me choose them. And the 3 estimates I received were not that far apart. ASI even threw in a little duct repair, a new thermostat and carbon monoxide detector. It only took them about 6 hours to do the whole job, and they were able to come to do the install within about 3 days after I selected them. They also didn't put on the "hard sell" for other products, which I am always sensitive to. They did tell me about their twice per year service and tune up, but they just left the information with me and didn't try to have me sign up right on the spot. I would definitely give them a call again if I needed more HVAC service.

Technician was prompt, professional and personable. He tended to the task at hand in a timely and non-disruptive manner, and complied to his company's protocol with regard to maintaining site cleanliness. He identified a problem in the furnace condensation collection hardware, ordered the parts necessary and returned the following week to replace same. In a more general view, our experience with this vendor has been quite positive.

Alvin did a great job and was very neat. He always put his shoecovers on when he came into the house so as not to track dirt onto our carpets. He also protected the area he was working in indoors with a drop cloth.

Tech Scott, and all of the other techs that I have had from ASI, have always been very professional and know their systems. Scott, made some very useful suggestions and I would highly recommend him and ASI. ASI did the original installation and the system they recommended has worked as promised. We have a 4 zoned system which allows us to control the heating and/or cooling independent of other zones within our home.

They were very good. They were very clean and very thorough. They were professional. I'm sure their prices are right in the middle with everyone else. The quality of their work is excellent.

The process went very well from start to finish. As mentioned above, Adrian provided information as he stepped through each process. Adrian also provided suggestions for improvement. While I understand it is part of their job to sell other services, I felt Adrian was helpful and informative but not pushy about the other recommendations.

Started off a bit rocky. I closed escrow on a used home a couple of weeks ago. The inspector noted that the return air path for the unit was too constricted (unit set on top of previous return air platform opening from old unit which was undersized for new unit). ASI Hastings had previously installed the unit in 2008 and it has a 10 year parts and labor warranty. After further research and pulling down the technical summary for the unit it appeared (to me anyway) that the return air path was only half what it needed to be and an additional filter kit would need to be retrofitted in. The first technician sent out, Tim, while nice enough was adamant that in his 20 years of installing these units he had never retrofitted an additional filter kit in (which involved cutting a large hole in the sheet metal on the side of the unit). He was not able to provide any feedback on the spec sheet which I handed him claiming that for air flows greater than 2000CFM a return from one side and bottom would be needed. ASI sent another group of various experts (service manager, York rep) out for a follow on visit and agreed the return air path was not correct and agreed to fix it along with a condensate line running in front of my existing water heater (which they could not run properly before due to other equipment being in the way). My unit has a variable blower speed and can be set to 1750CFM (350CFM x 5 for a 5 ton unit) which allows only needing the bottom fully cut out and not the side. Very relieved at this explanation! They sent out a third group Monday morning to fix the return air path and re-run the condensate line. No problems with the re-work. Decided to buy a service package from them (and future service package - so 4 services total for $348) since they made things right for me. Eddie came out later the same day for the heating and cooling service. Explained what he was doing and really nice guy. Everything is all good now, system works great!

Everything went well. They were friendly, courteous, punctual, professional.

It took them three days to get everything done and most of the time was spent on the duct work. They were great through the whole process and our new heater and duct work actually heats the house, which was not the case before. While they were getting the work done, they supplied us with portable heaters so we could stay warm. Since we did not have a lot of time to get estimates(the hose was really cold), I checked Angie's list to see what other people had spent on this type of work and their fee was very favorable to what others had spent. We will continue use them for any future heating & cooling issues.

The price was pretty good. They are very professional and clean when install. They put plastic on the floor in case we have carpet that way when they walk, they don’t dirty up the carpet. They are very courteous installers.

Our serviceman, Jake, arrived on time, friendly and professional. He took all the time needed to answer all my questions and let me look over his shoulder so that I could learn all I could about our heating system. He saw some things that the previous home owner did not maintain and immediately addressed them --- replaced the old shoddy filter, repaired the fallen door insulation, and did a general clean up of the area. He noted that the metal flexible piping was not up to code. I asked if he could address this on the spot and he did a great job. I feel better going to sleep knowing this was fixed. After servicing the furnace area, he took a walk up in the attic and quickly observed some of the odd duct work, again, from the previous owner that should be addressed clearly explaining the better way to do this that made sense to me. Because of the findings in the attic, he recommended that we have an energy audit done. I will definitely be having the ASI Hastings team back in to address this. When Jake completed his work, he left our home just as it was before he arrived. It was a pleasure having him here to offer his expert opinion.

They did a good job and I would recommend them. I have had good service there. I shopped around and found their price to be the best. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use ASI Heating and Air again.

Very responsive and professional. Provided good information on alternatives. Very professional install. Rated quality down a notch because they inexplicably failed to vacuum up sawdust from installation at one location. Overall, system install was excellent, and the I'd it in a way that would allow easy upgrade options, if desired. System works well; would use again.

I am very satisfied with my experiences with ASI Hastings Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. I have used ASI Hastings Heating & Air Conditioning Inc for several different services. They are very professional. The prices are high but they know what they are doing. I will use them again if needed.

My husband said the tech was great.... he recharged our large central A/C unit, cleaned filters on the central fan unit, replaced belts and other high use parts and looked at several other issues... all with out any up sell. The A/C system worked 10x better than before, providing much needed relief in the hottest month of the year in San Diego County.

ASI was great. They were very professional and prompt. Their prices were great, along with the rebates we spent a lot less than we had budgeted. The work they performed was excellent. We have already enjoyed a summer with our new air conditioner and we are enjoying our new gas furnace this winter. We talked to several contractors and felt ASI would provide the best product for the best price. We are extremely happy!

The installation went as scheduled, and they went above and beyond a simple installation. The old furnace was sitting on a non-sealed platform, so air would have been taken in from underneath the house and circulated. They installed a new platform and sealed it properly so that it would correctly only take in air from the return register. They did not charge extra for this and held to their original estimate. However, they forgot to connect the pump, so the furnace failed within the first few hours of operation. The company came out right away and fixed the issue (the work was still under warranty) and we haven't had an issue since then. Both times the company came out, they kept things very clean and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. It seems that the furnace is working very well as the air flow going into return register is quite powerful, and we can feel the air coming out of all the vents throughout the entire house.
