Serviceman was very professional,polite, friendly and comleted the work in a timely, efficient manner. Was knowledgeable and helpful. Even better that my furnance was fine and requires no additional service.

My experience with Asi Hasting Inc was good. There was no problem at all.

Chris called first before showing up right on time to do an annual tune up on my heater. He was courteous and got right to work. He explained the work he did and that the heater was still in great condition. He gave me some suggestions on what I could do to improve efficiency like getting insulation. He did not pressure me into purchasing additional products or services. I HATE it when they do that. He finished the service quickly without rushing. All in all it was a pleasant experience. I would be happy if Chris from ASI did my heater tune ups every year.

Dave was on time and pleasant, took care of the air conditioners, but could not service our furnaces since they were on the Do Not Service list. I understood that. However, he left a recommendation for our thermostats to be replaced even though they work fine. My call to the office to find out why was not returned. I called again and they said they wasn't up to code. Too "sales" oriented.

They have a good reputation and are on Angie’s List. They were in the ballpark of what other people have spent. They were very good. It took them three days. They left us space heaters. They were really good. Their price seemed to be right in the ballpark of what other people have spent. I do not think we could have done the work any cheaper. I will continue to use them; they will be coming out to do periodical maintenance.

They were very prompt. Work was completed earlier than estimated and I felt they went over and above what was expected, including changing the furnace duct coverings to provide better direction to the heated air. And a follow up phone call to ensure that there were no questions regarding the work performed. I would definitely recommend them to friends.

We had a very good experience. The price is a little bit high for us, but we're sure we'll get quality service.

I omitted to post this review after the work was performed over a year ago. My extremely old furnace (25+ years), which is underneath my extremely old house, and is accessed from outside, had been tagged as unsafe by SDG&E. I needed a new one in a hurry! Their sales guy was courteous and low-key, and their technicians came out a couple of days later while I was at work, did the installation, put in a new thermostat and set it at the correct temperature. When I returned home, the work was done and the house was warm. However, the reason I'm thinking about all this now is that I called this winter for an annual check-up and their receptionist told me it wasn't necessary yet and to call back later. I always have a soft spot for companies who decline to take my money!

They were here twice. Once to change a part around the pilot light and once to put a cap on the roof pipe. I paid $261 and I have nothing to show for it. I was warned by friends that these companies are more interested in selling you a furnace than fixing one. I guess that's true.

Chuck and Jerry showed up on time, were very professional, and completed the work when they said they would. I would have them do work in my house again.

Tom Justo who supervised the project explained it carefully to me, giving me a printout of all their findings. The workers were friendly, professional, and efficient. The cost was $2067 ($3067 - $1000 rebate from utility company). I did not have the funds until August 2012 but the price did not change. As result, my house has been more comfortable in hot and cool weather.

They arrived for the service call, put a camera up into the furnace pipe, saw rust, saw how old it was, "condemned" it and shut off the gas, saying it couldn't be used. They NEVER even turned it on. They quickly scheduled an estimator to come out in a couple days to give me an estimate on a new system. In addition to the ASI appointment, I scheduled two other companies to come out (the standard 3 contractors we all do or should do). ASI and the 2nd contractor said that I should replace the entire system - furnace, air conditioning and ducts all at once because it would be easier and help with the HERS duct compliance. Contractor No. 2 never turned it on either. The bids were $8-$9,000. I was in a tailspin. ASI was all over the place with upsales even when I said I didn't have the money and to give me bare minimum. BUT, the next day arrives Contractor No. 3 who says "do you want to get a few more years out of this furnace?" Well, yes, then I can save some money up for a new system. He said "let me take a look at it". Two hours and $200 later, it is fixed. This man took it apart, found a problem and fixed it, oiled, cleaned it, and I'm set. A good old fashioned hard working HONEST Contractor. There is rust in every furnace! ASI shut it down without even turning it on and tried to scare me with its age and some rust. $9,000 compared to $200. Folks, unless you simply want to upgrade and have the money to do so at that time, do your homework and interview several contractors.

They did a great job and were very honest with me about replacing an air exchanger

They did a beautiful job. They came and gave the estimate and were very good about finding out the correct size needed. They discovered in the attic that the old duct work was from 1961 and was falling apart. So, they replaced the duct work as well. The cost was reasonable. The got the main work done in one day. They ordered the vents and came back to install those. They didn't just tell me I needed new ducts, they took me up there to see them, and they were a mess.

Called for a service call, was able to come out within 2 days. Damon came and diagnosed a/c problem, we had a blown contactor that burned the wires. He explained that SGD&E have surges that happen all the time but customers don't know it. He suggested to install surge protector hardwired to a/c unit to prevent problem again. He was able to fix it that day. Yea! Very nice young man. (Actually put shoe protectors on while having to walk through the house). Will definitely use them again.

had two properties that needed new heating systems. ASI sent out a tech to assess my needs, then provided a reasonable estimate over the phone because I'm located in Washington DC. I had to trust his assessment and recommendations because I wasn't standing in the house to make decisions. His recommendations were spot on and saved me alot of hassle and money. I also told the technician that I needed two heating systems, and asked if he would he give me a discount for giving them both jobs. He gave me the discount and provided a schedule that worked with mine. One house needed an old rusty heating system removed and a new system installed (wall heating system) and had to be done before a particular date. The other house didn't have a heating system so ASI had to install a new wall heater from scratch, which meant running a vent through the ceiling, through the attic and up through the roof. Then they had to run gas lines from one side of the room, under the house's crawl space and up to the wall. Alot of work, but it was done professionally, efficiently, and within several hours. ASI techinicians came on the scheduled day, put down floor covering so they wouldn't track dirt on my rug, and they worked nonstop to install the new system before I had to leave for the airport to go back to DC. I can't say enough good words about this company. The technicians were considerate of my schedule and of my property and they were very polite. Real pros and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Last fall we decided to do the California Energy Upgrade including new dual furnaces and air conditioners, new ducting, new insulation, and whole house sealing for our 4,000 sf home. ASI had been servicing our old units for years, and we chose them for our upgrade. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience. It all started with Tom Justo, who came out to test the energy efficiency of the home (with a blower test) and then prepared the bids. Once we decided on the package (we chose the top of the line York units), the process began. We were utterly amazed at the professionalism of ASI. Having such a huge house, a team of people were at our house for a week and each person who arrived was polite, knowledgeable, and efficient. From the tear out to the installation to the whole house sealing, all went smoothly. We couldn't have been happier. ASI also handled the California Energy Update rebate process for us. We have had our new system in place for a year now and we are extremely happy that we did the upgrade. Our home is more comfortable and, best of all, our sdge bills are much lower. We received a $4,000 rebate from the California Energy Upgrade program and a $1,100 rebate from York, reducing our expenditure from $33,000 to $28,000 :)

5-star service! Would definitely use this company again! The tech was on time, friendly, professional, and gave helpful advice on how to get the most out of our units. He also wore protective "booties" over his work shoes to help keep our carpets clean and he cleaned up after himself - dust, debris, etc.

Not well at all. But kudos to the woman on the phone. She stayed quite nice while I did not.

my home is an energy drain for some reason....which noone can quite figure out, but i live in a 1965 build 2k sq ft home in LJ and my bills are normally $450-650/month and that is w/ no a/c. I saw a deal on angieslist for an evaluation and these guys were easy to work w/ & schedule. Came on time and did lots of checks & found nothing wrong in the home itself...so unfortunately it didnt help solve my issues but their work as helpful & great. Would recommend & use again.

Found Angie's list coupon. Had no problems or mark ups or any other effort to increase sales by technician. It was almost to good to be true!

Even though we are in the midst of a heat wave, ASI was able to schedule someone to come out the same day which we greatly appreciated. Eddie represents the type of service person that we all want when we have a problem with something in our homes. He was very courteous; he put on shoe protectors every time he needed to walk into the house and he asked my permission to use one of our outdoor electrical outlets. He promptly determined the problem and made an attempt to solve it himself. However, once he realized an electrician was needed, he let me know. Even though ASI has licensed electricians, he told me they were booked up and was honest in letting me know we would likely get faster service calling another electrician. Although we learned that our problem was with the electrical panel and not the A/C units, I was very impressed with Eddie and ASI and will use them in the future for any issues we have.

They were great, they covered the floors, they were nice guys, they wore booties to protect carpet,they came on time, finished when they said they would. We have used them before, they cost a bit more but are so reliable,and do good work it is worth it. while they were here they checked work thier company had done before just to make sure all was still great, and it was. they even have the white gloves like on their ad but they didn't wear them lol.
