Installers were on time. They worked diligently to sure it was square and level. They had cut the sink and installed it with no problem. Drilled holes for the faucet. The work was done in a professional fashion. They cleaned up and explained how to maintain the counter top. The company called me about when to expect the installed. Great communication with the company.

It went very well. The crew was on time and wall work was completed as promised.

I contacted Stone & Beyond and was able to have Judy Lay come to my house to give me a quote very quickly. She did some measuring and quoted me a price on the spot. I shopped around and other contractors had to get back to me on their price (one took a week to get back to me). Based on the price and their reputation, I went with Stone & Beyond. Judy was great to work with; very knowledgeable, professional and patient. The demo/installers were also wonderful, helpful and experienced, they were very kind to answer all my questions and explain things that I was curious about. The whole process took 1 week. Demo was done on a Friday and installation was completed the following Friday. I was so pleased with the results that I decided to get the bathroom counter top redone in my bathroom (maybe both bathrooms!). I am looking forward to working with them again on that project. I have and will continue to make referrals to anyone I know that needs to get their counters redone.

The workers arrived promptly. They did their work efficiently and neatly, cleaning up as they worked They finished within the time they had promised (2 days, if I recall correctly).

Very expensive and not very good follow up.

We chose Stone and Beyond because of their reputation on Angie's List and because we trusted Judy Lay. Once we called their office and spoke with her, she came out the next day (45 miles to our house) and provided her bid. She has a very good eye for detail and her demeanor was very professional and knowledgeable. It was easy to talk to her and ask her questions and she gave honest answers and educated us about choices we could make. We wanted Quartz and she suggested Silestone which had a pattern that would work very well with our cabinets, etc. We visited her office/shop and made final selections of the Quartz, sink and faucet. The demolition crew also did the installation work. They were very proficient as well as very pleasant. They were careful to protect our floors and cabinets and cleaned up the area. We had our countertops replaced as well as full backsplash and island done and the final product is absolutely beautiful. We could not be happier. We would definitely choose Judy Lay and company again because of their high quality workmanship but also because they communicate so well. When we called their office, we got to speak to someone immediately and if we needed Judy and she wasn't there, she called us right back.

What we liked best about Stone & Beyond was Judy Lay and her responsiveness and attention to detail. We had gotten bids from 3 different companies. One was a fair amount lower, but they didn't have many references locally or on Angie's List. The other company under consideration had been our first contact and we had someone come out to do the measurements. We were originally going to use quartz in a pattern that looked very much like granite. We contacted Stone & Beyond about the same time, getting a bid for the quartz. After finding out that nobody had slabs of the quartz pattern that we liked and learning that it had to manufactured which wouldn't happen for about 2 months, we decided to use granite instead, at Judy's suggestion. At that point we still hadn't decided on a company to do the fabrication and installation because we weren't yet sure of the materials. Costs ended up being similar between the companies when we did settle on a granite, with Stone & Beyond being just a little higher. When we needed information about availability of materials and timing of work to be done, the person from the other company told us on a couple of occasions that they would get back to us at a certain time (by the end of the day, sometime tomorrow, etc.) and then didn't follow up in a timely manner. We told the contact the name of the granite pattern that we were looking at and were told that they would get us a price. When we gave Judy at Stone & Beyond the same information she was back on the phone with us within the hour with pricing and also had called over to Bedrosian's to find out how many granite slabs in that pattern were actually available. She explained that decorators and other clients can put a hold on specific slabs that they might want for up to 4 days and there are often more or less slabs available from day to day. By the time the other rep called us back we already had a hold on a couple of slabs and had an installation date set up with Stone & Beyond. Judy let us know everything that was happening with our granite and even offered to meet us at Bedrosians to help select the slabs. (We chose a granite with a lot of "movement" and the slabs varied quite a bit in some cases.) When we finally found two that we liked, she coordinated everything with Bedrosian's and picked them up a couple days later. She let us know what what they were doing every step of the way and when she told us she would get back to us, she did every time exactly when she said she would. We had two counters and a large island done. They did a beautiful job! We went with the Bookend edging which turned out very well and we're glad we chose that one. (With Judy's help.) They did the demolition of the ceramic tile a week before installation and installed plywood over the tops of the cupboards for that week. The men who did the demolition also did the installation. They were very nice and easy to work with and left the kitchen clean when they were finished. We had enough granite to do a 6 foot desktop that is partly in the kitchen. That will be done next week. They had a plumber come out the day after installation and install the sink, garbage disposal and faucet. He also was very professional and easy to work with. Since we live about 30 miles or so from the showroom, it was nice to be able to do the paperwork by email and we corresponded with Judy by both phone and email. (She is just as prompt responding to emails as she is phone calls.) We visited the showroom twice, once to look at the edging choices and once to pick the layout of the templates. We ended up going with the layout which Judy suggested. She has a very good eye for design and while I questioned the layout of the island at first, after it was installed I was so glad we followed her suggestion. The granite looks even nicer on the counters and island than it did standing there as a slab. There are a lot of little sparkly things that catch the light that we really couldn't see when it was standing up. Now with the light from the kitchen it looks really amazing. We've had a lot of work done on houses over the years using a lot of different contractors. Judy is the one that stands out, not only because of her responsiveness, but because she is so professional and calm. There were times that I was frazzled with all the choices and indecision and she just laid out the pros and cons along with what she thought would work and would look the best. She was always polite and calm, even when I probably drove her crazy with questions. We're so glad we went with Stone & Beyond and will recommend them to our friends.

Although I found it a bit pricey everything went very well. Only thing was one of the young men failed to take away a small amount of chipped away molding from old countertop. Otherwise great job.

Perfect. We chose our slab of granite from Bedrosians who in turn shipped it to Stone & Beyond. Judy Lay called us to observe the layout for fabrication. The layout would cut through some attractive spots that I wanted to keep and see so Judy worked around those areas and took all our request into account. Instead of having us purchase an entire new large slab of additional granite she offered us an extra piece of granite in our pattern to use for an out of the way counter in the dining room. It blends perfectly. She provided us a choice of stainless steel sinks. The installation arrived on time to install the counters and handled each piece with the utmost care and installed to perfection! They answered questions and were very polite. The counters were sealed and polished and their care was thoroughly explained. It's now been 6 weeks since installation and there is not a day that we don't marvel at the perfection of the job. I would recommend Stone & Beyond without hesitation for any stonework needed in a residence. Thank you Judy and Stone & Beyond.

The people from Stone and Beyond were helpful, professional, and really awesome from start to finish. Once we had our slab chosen and we decided to go with Stone and Beyond, Judy helped us through the process of getting new granite counter tops. They came out and did the demo and were thorough and professional and cleaned up after themselves. Then we got to be a part of the templating process. Since our slab had a lot of "personality" we wanted to be able to pick what parts of the slab would be in which parts of our kitchen. They were patient and very helpful considering how many times we made them move the templates around! : ) A few days later they arrived to install the countertops. The team worked very hard and were meticulous when installing the counters. They made sure to work carefully to not mess up the walls, our new floors, or the granite! They finished the job and completely cleaned up after themselves. I am completely in love with my new countertops! We also got the new sink from them as part of their coupon deal. We love the new sink! It's a nice size and our plumber just got it all hooked up and installed. We would definitely use this company again!

It was super easy. They were great. I gave them measurements and they fabiracted the counterop for us.

Prompt, helpful. Sent us to distributors to pick out slab. Then had us come in to approve how slab would be cut before cutting. When needed emergency plumber, got one in that day.

They were very neat during both the demo and the installation. They protected my new wood floors during the demo process and and put protection down during the installation. They were on time for every appointment and I would hire them again if I need granite in my new home.

Once we decided the granite we wanted the project proceeded as planned. Then we ran into a bump; a leak was discovered in our island and we had to replace all the cabinets in the island. S & B did everything they could and then we waited for the cabinets. One they were in S & B was right their to complete the job.

After reading the many good reviews on Angie's List I called Stone & Beyond for an appointment. They were very professional and helpful, a time was set to visit the store. We went over the type of counter tops and edging we would like and Judy went with me to pick out the marble. I was extremely happy as she pointed out different aspects of marble and what to look for. The marble was ordered and a date scheduled for the installation. The installer came out to the house about 10 days before installaton to make a template. The crew was on time, very professional, made sure my new floors were covered before bringing in the marble. They were very efficent and cleaned up after the job was completed. We are very happy with our beautiful marble countertops. The process was easy. Thank You Stone & Beyond! It was a wonderful experience and we will be sure to use them again.

The job was reasonably priced. The installers were on time and performed a very professional installation.

She also was good about following up on additional work (fireplace) - something I wanted to do, but had pushed out. The folks that came out were professional and did exceptional work. The suggested granite uses like shelves for windows out of the granite and other decorative touches. Their attention to detail was good in the sense that they made sure all surfaces were level, shimm'ed where needed. They were also the most competively prices. No complaints.

Debra and Judy at Stone and Beyond helped me with quartz countertops for a kitchen remodel July 2011, and I was so pleased with their service, I am returning for a bathroom vanity countertop. I was happy with their work at the time of the remodel, and am just as happy a year and a half later. For the kitchen countertops, Debra's estimate for quartz countertops was far less than three other suppliers. She took the time to lay out the cuts required to maximize a full sheet of quartz. I have a kitchen garden window ledge that required just a bit over the one sheet, and she offered three different options. I could buy two sheets, and have a large amount left for future jobs, I could use one sheet and have a seam in the kitchen window ledge, or I could use one sheet and buy a remnant from someone else's leftover sheet. I opted for the last option and was delighted with the result. My cost with Stone and Beyond was the best I found in town. Their cost was 3500.00, while other suppliers were quoting me 5000.00 The installation team was professional, neat, and courteous, and everything was supplied on time. I will continue to use Stone and Beyond for my countertop needs.

Go with the 2 cm granite. The upgrade cost of 3 cm is just a little higher, but there's no real difference. Plus, with the 3 cm granite, you have to have PERFECTLY level cabinets, which can be impossible and frustrating to do. You won't be disappointed.

For the service and installation we received we give an "A" rating on all levels. This company offered some very unique edges for our granite counters at no extra cost.

This is going to sound like I am making it up, but I am not: they did everything perfect. The work was scheduled to take two days, one week apart. They arrived on time on the days we had scheduled in advance and completed the work within a few hours on each of the two days. Each of the craftmen was clearly well experienced and knew what they were doing. It turned out beautiful and exceeded my expectations. They gave me an Angie's List discount for the job. Debra's price was the lowest of the 4 quotes I received. I never would have known about this company if it wasn't for Angie's List. The numerical ratings I gave them above are not exaggerations. They are a rarity in the construction world: expert, professional, and reasonably priced. This company is a keeper.

The job was done in a clean, on time, professional manner. The tear out and installation crew was clean, worked hard and long hours until the job was finished. Judy was in constant touch, always available. We felt well taken care of. I'm really impressed how the bullnose follows the exact detail of the top of the granite, even without a 1/4" bevel.
