Everything went well during the initial visit to the house, but they never followed up with an estimate for the work. Because of this, I used another company.
Description of Work: I called them out to provide an estimate for a kitchen remodel.

Added Hardie panel (fiber cement) to one wall of back bedroom. The exterior of my house was painted last fall. This wall is exposed to the sun all day and "moves". Due to the contracting & expanding from heat, the paint between the boards developed minor splits. The painter came back, recaulked the seams of the lap siding and added 2 more coats of paint. The splits reappeared. Since the house is a darker color, the white caulking is easily viewed. I had previously used SheCan2 to add Hardie panel to the front of my garage, so called them to get a bid. Terri responded and came to my home within a day or two. Steve showed up at the agreed upon time. We reviewed the project and a couple of additional details I had asked for....shorten 2 downspouts. After 2 hours Steve informed me the wrong panel had been ordered. I had requested panel with stucco finish. The project was postponed for a week while the panel was returned/ reordered. Steve said Terri had ordered the stucco style, so evidently the supplier messed up the order. Didn't verify that when Steve came back. Other than that detail, the project went very smoothly. Steve is an excellent craftsman with attention to detail. Everything was cleaned up. The price was a little high, though would use SheCan2 again.
Description of Work: Added Hardie panel siding to one small wall of my house.

I am very pleased with the professionalism of all the employees at Shecan2. Terri (the owner) and Kim came out for the estimate. We discussed a lot of issues I was looking to resolve. The quote/ bid was reasonable for all the work entailed. Plus, I was guaranteed that it wouldn't go over a certain dollar amount even if more extensive damage was found. That promise was adhered to. Everyone was great: Brent, Scott, Dan, Kim and Mike. Each had a part to do and they were all hard-working, professionals. I love the room and now it's my favorite room in the house! I can't wait to do more remodeling and repairs. Important to note: Shecan2 alerted us to the reason for the floor/ wall damage which is a roof leak. Now, I'm working on getting that repaired with a roofing contractor. Had they not alerted us, I never would have known and the issue would be re-created. THANKS SHECAN2 FOR ALL YOUR HELP! I LOVE MY NEW LAUNDRY ROOM/ BATHROOM!
Description of Work: Shecan2 repaired/ reconstructed a damaged sub-floor in our utility bathroom, adjacent to the laundry room. The sub-floor had water damage. The repair included a new sub-floor and the installation of linoleum. Also, the washing machine was brought in from the carport and a new utility sink was installed. A vent was installed for the dryer so that the out-take went outside. A new toilet was installed and the entire laundry room and bathroom was painted. Also, a leak under the main bathroom tub was found and corrected. Lastly, a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal was installed.

Don't know why they never contacted us with an estimate. Frustrating.
Description of Work: Have to join the other reviewer in unresponsiveness. Took time off work to get an estimate for dry rot repair. The person was on time, but then never called or emailed me again with an estimate... Assumed they didn't want the job, and just didn't follow up.

windows and areas of the roof were not properly flashed by previous contractors and we had occasional leaks and dry rot damage. SHEcan2 employees fixed the problem. This is the second time we've used this contractor and would use them again and recommend them. Highest quality of work. Punctual and professional. The best.

Terry Harris, her assitant and crew were wonderful to work with. She checked in on the work and progress all along the way. She and her assistant were always prompt in returning my calls and emails. It all took longer than I expected as I suspect this kind of project always does. There were unexpected problems and changes along the way. When there were a couple of small problems after they finished she was quick to back up her work and take care of them. I have recommended her to other people who need work done.
Description of Work: Remodel of kitchen in my 1970's condo. This work was extended into my dining room living room area since it iwas made into all one area. Terri Harris directed me to some great places for prodects and some installers. I appreciated their products and the people I woked with at these places. She coordinated deliveries and installation of some of those products. All of this required her wonderful crew to completely gut my kitchen and remove an old floor and carpeting , install a new garden window, take out a dividing wall, repair and prepare the dining area wall for new French doors and to paint the enire area. I am sure there was a lot more that they did but those are the main things that I can think of now. worked with at these places.

I did not choose this company because they prices were higher than other bids I received. They were three or four times higher in their prices than the other companies that I received quotes from. They were slow to give me the quote I had to keep asking for it. And they could not complete the work by the time I wanted them to. I will not use them in the future.
Description of Work: I called SHECan2 for a quote about three months ago.

Terri of SheCan2 called me back within an hour of my call. I explained what I was doing. Not only did she help me fix it over the phone, but she talked to me about other potential problems that may come up. We probably spent 20 minutes on the phone. I wouldn't hesitate to call them if I ever had a problem. Terri was super knowledgable, encouraging and really seemed to want to help me get it done myself. I never felt like she was trying to sell me a service and she never made me feel l shouldn't or couldn't try it myself. I realize that a positive review based on one phone call is a little crazy, but that is how strongly I felt after my experience with her. I just had to share.
Description of Work: I called SheCan2 regarding some plumbing issues I was having in my shower/tub. I was trying to fix it myself but I had gotten stuck - I replaced the shower cartridge but the shower was still leaking.

Terri and Kim listened carefully to my long laundry list of things to be done when they came to do the estimate. Instead of trying to up-sell me, they suggested more cost effective ways to accomplish what I wanted to have done, and talked realistically about how to meet my tight timeline. Steve, Dan and Brent did a great job on the site and were careful to check with me about exact placement of new fixtures. Brent did a nice job of matching the orange peel texture on the new drywall with what was in the rest of the house, so that when painted it is hard to see the new work. When Kim checked back with me at the end of job, she made some minor adjustments I requested to the new kitchen lights without objection. I am very satisfied with their work and will use them again.
Description of Work: Updated kitchen lighting, installed new light fixtures and outlets and vent fan, new floor and vanity in bathroom, demolished fireplace facade and wetbar and interior window and installed drywall; plumbed new box for icemaker behind fridge

I live in the country, but Terri showed up right on time on a Friday to give me an estimate. I was so impressed with her obvious knowledge and thoroughness, that I signed a contract and waived my three-day right to change my mind. Two young men showed up right on time the following Monday. I showed them around and then left for work. While at work, I thought of one more task I wanted completed and that was added to the work description with no problem. The workmen were already gone when I returned from work...they left everything neat and tidy. I was beyond happy with the job they did for me. I repeatedly walked in and out of the sliding glass door admiring the interior and exterior work done...I can't believe I waited two years to hire SHEcan2 to clean up the mess!
Description of Work: A replacement sliding glass door was installed but never "finished" either inside or outside. The siding that was removed to install the door had never been replaced. The interior trim around the door was missing and foam insulation was visible. The exterior trim around the door and around two windows was missing. Trim around a recently-installed kitchen cabinet was missing. A curtain rod above the sliding glass door needed to be removed and the wall patched and repainted. On top of that, I asked that three walls in my living room be painted. All of these tasks were completed in one day!

The carpenter came on time, did the work in a very professional manner, and matched to color of our stucco amazingly well.
Description of Work: I had a problem with moisture in the walls. I have been trying to solve this problem for a long time. Terri from SHEcan2 came out and gave us advice and recommendations for free. We did what she suggested. When I had a moisture problem in another area, she came out again and made a recommendation of what we could do. We did some of the work, as she suggested, and had her company replace some stucco and drywall, adding a moisture barrier and insulation.
SHECan2 responded to my email to schedule a time to come out to give us an estimate for repairs after a few days had passed. They called on the day scheduled to say they were running about 30 minutes late. SHECan2 actually appeared 45 minutes later than that while I had another bidder at the home (making the situation a little awkward). Terri and her partner seemed interested in the repair work although I sensed a little hesitation in their voices. (It may have been because of the other bidder completing their written estimate.) I was very impressed with Terri's understanding and knowledge of the situation; however, I was surprised that she wasn't able to provide me a written estimate at that time. It wasn't until 2-1/2 weeks later that Terri called to get an email address to send the estimate our way.
Description of Work: Requested estimate for repair of ceiling crack along joining of add-on dining area and to relocate (center) dining room ceiling fan over dining table area.
We had a flood that came through our chimney that destroyed the wall in our family room. We are first time home buyer's and had only lived in our house for 6 months. We called SHEcan2 Inc. They are a Sacramento based company and we live in Suisun City. Even though they don't normally service the area, they came all the way out to our house just for a free estimate. We were so impressed with how knowledgable Terry was, that we scheduled the work right away. She explained everything, was honest and up front with us as well as patient while we peppered her with questions. She was understanding and very reassuring. The contractor, Dan, that came out to do the work was punctual, professional, experienced, clean and quick. He looked for the root of the problem, found it and repaired the cause of the flood which required flashing, stucco application and to be sealed. He also repaired the damage from the flood. The wet wall from the flood also caused some minor mold behind it and in the insullation. Dan made sure only the damaged part was removed and made a very through check of the remaining area to ensure there wasn't any additional mold. He then ensured that the inside of the wall was completely dry before he began closing it up again and blending it with the undamaged wall. He explained everything to us step by step, never wasted time, was quick when he worked and cleaned up so well that we didn't have to even vacuum! On top of all of that, he had to come through our back gate, which didn't close properly. He fixed it as a favor because he noticed it and saw it wasn't right. The damaged wall actually looks better than it did before the flood, like nothing ever happened. We would strongly recommend SHEcan2 Inc. to our friends and family. They do it right and make it right. If we ever need a contractor again, we will automatically go to SHEcan2 Inc. without looking anywhere else.
Description of Work: We had flood damage to our family room from a hole in the stucco of our chimney that was hidden behind a gutter. The root cause was searched for, found and repaired. The hole in the chimney was flashed, stucco applied and sealed. The damaged dry wall was removed and replaced and textured to blend with undamaged drywall. The wet and molded insullation behind the drywall was removed and replaced. Inside wall framing was throughly checked for damge and dried prior to closing wall.

The two main people I worked with on the project were Terri and Kim. They were both very professional and easy to work with from the begining. Listened to my ideas on what I wanted completed on the bathroom project, gave back some very good ideas to mine and worked with me to meet my needs. Both Terry and Kim were execllent communicators, easy to contact and very pleasent to work with. The project went a little longer than we all wanted but that was out of all our control and they really did a great job of doing their best to stay on track and on budget (they did stay on budget and then some!). I will do business with them again for many reasons, 1) Honest 2) Quality of their work 3) Execllent Communicators 4) Easy to do business with 5) Great ideas to share and 6) They were just plain nice people to work with!
Description of Work: I had SHECan2 do a Bathroom remodel in my rental property in Davis. The house was built back in 1950 and has been a rental since 1975. A new tub, flooring (vinyl), baseboards, new drywall, moving shower head up, put in new knobs and shower walls, install fan/light, switches, cabinets, new sink, new window, painting, new front door thershold, also triming inside doors after new carpet was installed adding new door locks and reinstaling toliet each evening for renter.

After SheCan completed kitchen ceiling an electrician (through SheCan) installed new lighting in kitchen, living room, hallways, den, office, closet, and a new ceiling fan in bedroom and light/fan in the bathroom (his charge = $2500). SheCan painted all areas that needed retouching after electrical work was completed. We have used SheCan before and really like Terry, the owner. Her staff is very pleasant, efficient, and professional.

The handyman arrived on time and was very professional, and had all the necessary equipment including the green board, to complete the job. He was tidy, and cleaned up after himself and did not seem to mind the yellow Lab helping occasionally.

The initial phone contact was pleasant and helpful. Since the work was outside the worker could come and begin at a reasonable/expected time for the kind and amount of work to be done. The artisan that came to do the work was professional and capable of handling the issues presented and then some. The work he did was a lot better than I expected; corners and miters tight. All cuts and sizes made were to perfection. Some creative cutting had to be made on a 4x8x10 and he performed the cuts with precision. The work and overall experience was excellent.

Very deceptive! Be careful. After an initially pleasant visit to out home to bid a bathroom remodel a bid was submitted that seemed to be reasonable. However, a careful reading of SheCan's bid/contract revealed numerous "hidden costs". When I emailed and called numerous times to ask for an explaination or better understanding of the costs before agreeing to begin our remodel communications stopped. They never did get back it touch with us or answer our questions. What a waste of time and effort. -Randy White
Description of Work: We were ready to go with our bathroom remodel and then they stopped returning our calls???
During a prior job with SheCan2 I asked her the approximate price on a kitchen because we had received several bids for our kitchen for in excess of $60,000. Her bid was significantly less, and given the high quality of her work on the past project, we decided to give her the project. We were rewarded with an awesome kitchen, with phenomonal cabinets and counters, along with a lot of extra work in the house, for more then 25% less then other contractors. During the construction, several unexpected instances came up and SheCan2 would immediately contact us to discuss how to best deal with the situation. Once a solution was agreed upon, it was implemented without question. We would happily use them again, and have already used them for more work at the preschool we initially hired them at, and gotten another bid on home remodeling.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen upgrade including structural changes to the layout. - added island, removed pantry, relocated refrigerator attachments, modified plumbing, new cabinets/counters Electrical system upgrade - main service to home upgraded, kitchen wiring completely redone, electrical box replaced House fans added - bedroom fans added to all rooms, great room fans added to two room
