Mel Bowers did some plumbing work for us a couple of years ago -- because of my wife's long illness I am tardy in getting back with feedback. I was impressed with his analysis of a leak problem and the conscientious way he went about the repair. I would definitely hire him for future plumbing needs.

Mel Bower came to my home to install a gas line. We quickly discovered the job would be much more complex than we anticipated. Even with the added work, the job was still completed the same day and at a very reasonable price. Mel went above and beyond what I would have ever expected. He followed up with me more than once to make sure my famliy was satisfied with the outcome. We were extremely satlsfied and have since called on Mel and Bower's Plumbing for an additional job. Mel Bowers is a phenomenal plumber. He is definitely a people person and went through the various options of how I could install a new tankless water heater. He also explained how If I wanted to keep the tank water heater set up, what options were available to me. I had a "Big Box" plumber come out to give an estimate and it was like talking to a robot. I am very glad that I went with a small business owner/operator and Mel provided exactly what I needed. He does great work and puts in a honest effort. I called them about an issue with my tankless water heater not working properly. I had already talked to Mr. Rooter, who did nothing to fix the problem but told me they could replace it for $3,000. Bowers described over the phone how to clean out the filter in the water heater line and said to call him back if that didn't work and he would come and take a look at it. I cleaned out the filter, which was easy to do, and the water heater works better than it ever has. Thank you.

Mel did a great job on the repair of a leak under my kitchen sink! He had everything he needed to do the repair on his truck, and gave me a couple of options to keep the cost within my budget! He definitely displayed the qualities of trust, honesty and integrity, which are displayed in his logo!

Mel was incredibly committed to our water heater and pipes issues. His concern for our home and our situation was very inspiring. Mel Bowers helped me troubleshoot a problem with my water heater over the phone and, based on his advice, I was able to correct the problem myself without a service call. My water heater probably has a couple of years of life left in it, and when it fails I will definitely call Bowers Plumbing Service to replace it.

Very meticulous work. Project turned into replacement of three toilets rather than their repair, and he was very good about giving options on costs and results of how to proceed. While the labor cost was a little higher than originally anticipated, he went over those costs too so there were no surprises. I would hire him again in a heartbeat as he was considerate fair and extremely competent. Once again I was very pleased in your referral pool.

Not only fixed the problem, but took extra time to polish and grease all the parts to improve the function and look. He did a great job and was very reasonably priced.

His work was fine, however, he quoted me a rate of $75/hr (senior rate), but actually charged me a rate over $125/hr. Yet, I furnished the pump, the bricks he used to build a sump, and an extension cord; he furnished a few tie downs. I'd say that he does good work, but charges too much. I still can't understand one entry for $125 that he included on my bill.

Mel did a GREAT JOB repairing my faulty electric water heater. I thought that I was going to have to replace the water heater but Mel said that my problem seemed like my electric water heater probably had a failed heating element and that replacing this part would be a lot less expensive than replacing the water heater. Mel was right on his analysis of the problem and replacing the heating element solved my problem and saved me a pile of money. Mel did a terrific job for me and the words on his truck says it all "Trust - Honesty - Integrity". I would add "fair" to this list and very highly recommend Mel for any kind of plumbing job.

I was extremely pleased with the service that Mel Bowers provided for me on a number of visits. He is an experienced and competent technician and solved a plumbing problem for me that another plumber had been unable to fix. I was impressed with his determination to correct the problem and stick with the job until it was done. I also feel that his prices are very fair.

Mel Bowers did a great job replacing and retrofitting our natural gas line to meet our overall gas demand. He also serviced our tankless water when he first came out to diagnose the problem, taking it apart and cleaning all the burners and electronic components. He showed up on time and worked late until the job was done. He is a meticulous and dedicated craftsman who obviously enjoys his work. It was a pleasure to have him work on our 70 year old house.

Bower's plumbing installed a dishwasher & disposal. Mel Bower advised us to buy disposal to make project easier. We agreed with his professional input. Yet we were disappointed that his original estimate of 4.5 hrs turned out to be over 10 hrs. Additionally we had to pay an electrician to fix the job so both items worked properly. Thorough plumber, but the huge disparity in actual estimate and time job was done is a huge disappointment. I didn't appreciate emails from Mel speaking critically about my dog (shit zu) who we kept tied away from him. It was unprofessional and caddy.
