I would rate Mel Bowers higher than a five, if I could. My water heater drain had cracked and was flooding my home. He came over almost immediately and went to work. It was an old WH but he didn't lecture me, instead he explained everything in detail to my daughter, who was interested and in summary to me. It's an old mobile home and he had to take out the floor under the WH and build a new one before he could install the new WH. He stayed until 11pm in order to get the hot water working for me! Then the next day he checked all the faucets for sediment. His helper, Dan, was great too.

Cannot say enough about how fantastic it was to have Mel work on our sink. He's an expert at his trade, very personable and honest. He returned our call promptly and got the job done quickly. We don't need to search any further for a plumber!

It is hard to believe that there are still Mel Bowers in the world. Mel is highly competent and very ethical - a rare combination indeed. After being jerked around by other local plumbers, whose basic defense of predatory pricing was "i's the going rate", I turned to Mel. Instead of selling me a pricey new system he carefully analyzed my water heater and determined it was a leaky valve which he promptly replaced. He even used a special heater to dry up the area where the valve had been leaking. Mel put my interests ahead of his own short-term monetary interests. W all should support Mel Bowers

Mel undertook a particularly challenging project - - - replacing our old water heater with a new one. The heater was located in a very confined space with little clearance on three and several pipes low to the ground on the fourth side. Removing the old tank required raising it 24� inches to clear pipes, then tilting it forward and angling it to one side in order to clear all the obstructions. The tank was also extraordinarily heavy due to its construction and the years of sediment build up. Mel rose to the challenge and was able to remove the old heater and install the new one along with the fittings, valves, strapping, and pipes to brin
