Per ususal, Scotty's was friendly, thorough and speedy. Made an good catch on special oil change needed for my vehicle (new to me). May not be the cheapest in town, but value is exceptional, and you get what you pay for, and then some!

Cost $600.00 instead of over $2000.00, car is running great. I'd say it went really well.

My experience with them was excellent.  They are professional.  They get it done.  They are honest.

Went in for tune up and was charged for labor to remove and replace  plugs. and a separate labor rate to remove and replace wires. I brought it up to their attention that this was wrong but the girl at the desk asked the owner and they both agreed that that was the right price. I left feeling swindled. I  later asked another shop about this and they said they didn't read the labor price guide correctly

The staff was very professional when we walked in.  One of the owners, Carin, came in later.  She was super friendly and very easy to talk to.  We weren't sure if the ac problem was just that the freon needed to be charged or what.  Once they diagnosed what the problem was (air compressor), we were given a heads up that it would be very expensive to fix.  Then Carin called around to get us the best price for the part.  We now have our wonderful ac working again, which is very important during a summer in CA!  One absolutely wonderful service that Scotty's offers is to bring you home if the car is going to take a while to be fixed.  This was really great to hear since my husband and I just moved to CA and don't know anyone yet.  Not to mention, we only have one car.  So one of the employees, Stephanie, took us home and then picked us back up when the car was ready!

The clutch in my 95 Civic failed.  I dropped off my car at Scottys mid-morning, without an appointment, and it was ready that afternoon.  I asked for some additional service items which were also completed very quickly.  I've had this car for a long time and I had the same clutch work performed on it 6 years and 100K miles ago in Colorado.  The pricing at Scottys was very comparable to the cost from that previous servicing.  Furthermore, all the people I interacted with at Scottys (Stephanie, Randy, Caren and Scott) were very courteous, friendly and professional.  My questions were answered and they all spoke to me like I was an intelligent human being and not just a wallet to be opened and emptied.  I felt very comfortable there.  I only recently moved to Southern California after spending years in Colorado and having all my vehicles serviced by one mechanic for the last 10+ years.  I was afraid I would not be able to find an auto service business where I could trust that good work would be completed at a fair price.  Those fears are no longer present and I will bring all my vehicles to Scottys for all my needed service issues.  Bottom Line:  I received dealer quality service at a professional small business with a very "Mom and Pop" feel.

My 2004 infiniti has been a great car over the past 8 years and recently got its first oil leak. Thiis particular car has two oil pans. Everywhere I took the car said the upper oil pan seal was bad and it would be around $900 to fix. I read some good reviews here about this.shop and decided to give them a try. They told me over the phone that if It was the upper gasket, it would only be in the range of.$600.00. I will agree that right off the bat the service was good. They offered me a ride if I needed one, they looked at my car and determined that it was not the upper oil pan but the lower one that needed replaced and at a fraction of the cost. I have gone.to so many places that try to sell you.everything they can. I usually end up doing the work myself. I finally feel like I have value from a car repair, where I paid a fair price for the work being done. I'm not against paying for repairs as long as I can beleive you are telling me the truth, and you charge a fair price.

Got an $2,100 estimate to repair a cracked radiator and a blown head gasket at a well-rated Riverside auto shop. Thought it was way too high. Found Scotty's on Yelp and decided it was worth paying for a second opinion. Walked into Scotty's and was treated like I'd been a customer for years. Although my car was previously diagnosed, they said they'd start from scratch in case they found a simpler cause for my symptoms. Turns out the original diagnosis was right, but Scotty's ended up costing about $500 less.
In addition, their customer service was simply the best I've ever experienced in an independent shop. They answered every question in detail without annoyance. They offered to pick up my wife when the car was ready (and I couldn't get to the shop in time). They stayed open late on a Friday night to make sure we had our car back for the weekend. And when my wife accidentally left her jacket in the shop, they called and offered to drive it to our home (we ended up picking it up).

RepThis is one of those rare businesses where the customer, it appears, really does come first. Can't praise them enough.

I have used Scotty's in the past and  needed an oil change and tire rotation on my 2011 Scion.  I had an appointment and I got right in.  45 minutes later I was on my way.  The mechanic came and got me and pointed out that my engine cover was missing.  I don't know how or when that happened because my car has only had the hood popped 3 times since I have had it.  Thank you for alerting me to it.

I was disappointed because when I made the appointment, I inquired about a timing belt or chain.  I was told on the phone by Stephanie that they would have to look at the car to give me an estimate.  After they did the inspection and oil change, I was then told that I would need an engine inspection for $98.00 before they could tell me if I needed a timing chain. The mechanic who did the oil change told my son that it needed one.  I then took my car to another mechanic who explained to me according to the manufacturer the timing chain lasts the life of the car and when and if I ever needed one I would need to replace the engine.

The customer service was outstanding. The most honest auto mechanics I have ever had the pleasure of working on my car. I had made multiple visits to check on the status of my car and while there they never hesitated to explain to me the progress of the repairs and show me what exactly was being done. A rare find in auto service shops today. As some of the work was being accomplished they would call me with recommendations for preventative maintenance repairs that could be done while all torn apart that would save me money on labor and for the cars performance in the long run. I know that sounds like i got "taken" for unnecessary repairs but I am also a home auto repair enthusiast and know enough about cars to see that they held the same proactive maintenance practices I do. Thanks Scotty's for all the great service, until my next repair.

Excellent service.  Stayed over 2 hours to deliver car when promised.  Gave me a ride home twice even though they dont advertise that service.  Major work done on a Avalon with many miles, NO leaks so far.  I  RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!
