Description of Work: Poured a concrete slab for a garden shed. The work was very high quality and Jim was professional and reliable. I would recommend him and would hire him again.

Description of Work: Jim removed, replaced and stamped raised concrete around my pool. The job was completed in three days and was excellent. He is extremely responsive, punctual, and he has my highest recommendation. I wished I had used him when the original work was done. You won't beat his price or quality of work.

Description of Work: Jim added concrete to extend the front porch, added a walk way to complete it all the way around my home, and extended/added some additional drainage. Description of Work: Jim (and his team) poured and stamped concrete for a patio in our backyard and garbage can pad and walkway in our side yard. He also installed a drain pipe that runs under the garbage can pad to our front yard to ensure rain water is diverted appropriately, and modified our wooden gate so that the bottom was high enough to open with the new pad. Was friendly and professional, also patient when we needed to delay the onset of the work and make changes. He was also accommodating when we asked if he would re-distribute some of the removed dirt around the sides of the patio. The work included excavating and grading dirt, setting frames and rebar, and pouring and stamping concrete. Jim also slightly graded both slabs so that there would be no standing water after it rains.

Description of Work: Jim replaced a large portion of our existing driveway and also extened the driveway into what had been a large flowerbed.

Description of Work: Demo one section of concrete, moved sprinklers, added drainage, poured a 3' band around exisitng concrete deck and laid a 10x9 pad for a Shed.

Description of Work: Jim was referred to us by the owner of a large concrete company because he knew Jim's excellent work and his proximity to us. Jim met promptly with us and then submitted an estimate with several options, giving us choices about the scope of work. He tore out our existing patio slab which had not drained properly for years. Jim then leveled and planned out the new patio including drainage slopes and lines. He laid frames to create separate islands of concrete to allow for ground shifting in our quake-prone area. He pumped in the concrete, spread it, evened it, and decorated it. His expertise showed at every stage of the job. Jim also dug a deep trench between our neighbor's house and ours. Jim installed a drainage system to alleviate water seepage, and we now have happy neighbors!

Description of Work: We had a rotted wooden deck in our back yard. We wanted it removed and put a concrete patio in. The deck had to be demolished and disposed of. A design for the new concrete patio was agreed on and Jim mapped it out in our yard with spray paint. The ground was then leveled. We had a hottub on top of our deck that had to be lowered to the ground during the demolish of the deck. It was moved aside and Jim hand-laid the first patch of concrete that the hottub would be placed on. Once that dried and was stained, the hot tub was put in place on the new concrete so the rest of the patio could be poured. We were amazed and very pleased to see how Jim managed to move the hot tub by himself when we had other contractors tell us they might need a crane to move it! The next step was to have the concrete truck come and pour the remaining patio, the larger portion. It was done in two loads, two different colors, one for the inside and the bench - then a separate load for the border and the bench cap. Jim stamped the border and scored the inside then he finalized the color with an additional stain. Once the concrete cured - 4 weeks later - he came back to seal it.Our backyard was transformed by this patio, it is a beautiful design! We are very pleased with the result and are happy to refer Jim McCabe/McCabe Concrete to everyone, he was a pleasure to work with!

Description of Work: Dig out soil surrounding back retaining wall of house (two room width), waterproof retaining wall with several layers, install intelligent drain system that flowed in a particular direction and would not become clogged with time, filled with gravel and soil, finished wall to match stucco on rest of house, cleaned up and removed all debris.
