He performed the service very well. He was very knowledgeable, and I have absolutely no complaints about him at all. I did not use additional services. I discussed some things with him that I had contemplated having done, and he gave me estimates, but I couldn't afford them. I did not pay anything additional. I was happy with the overall job. The price for the deal was great, and he was very responsive.

On April 9, 2015, Boyd Plumbing replaced 25 old-style compression angle valves in our house with new quarter-turn valves, installed a new main valve to the house and re-seated a toilet. The service person, Trini, was great to work with and the quality of his work was excellent. Trini was also very thorough about cleaning up after the work was completed. The only sign he was ever there was shinny new valves. In addition, my calls to Boyd Plumbing prior to the work being done to set up a bidding visit and later a service appointment were handled very efficiently and responsively. I was extremely happy with the no-pressure, very cordial style of all the personnel I interacted with at Boyd. I will use this company again and would recommend it to others without reservation.

Trini and Amber were great. Boyd had replaced the elements and thermostats on an older water heater for us previously. When the water heater went out again I was afraid we were stuck with a huge replacement cost. I called Boyd Plumbing and Amber was very pleasant. She said that the estimate was free and she arranged for a service call that afternoon. Trini was prompt and professional. He clearly explained what the situation was. He determined that it was best to replace all heating elements and thermostats again at no charge to us. He managed to get the heater working temporarily so we would have hot water that evening. He returned the next morning with new parts to complete the repair, all at no charge. I suspect that most other plumbing shops might have just told us that we needed to buy a new water heater. My water heater was working fine but it was also 25 years old. I decided to avoid a possible spontaneous failure and just replace it with a new one. Boyd Plumbing sent Zeb to give me an estimate on the job; I was replacing a 50 gallon water heater with a smaller 40 gallon one. He spent a few minutes describing the product they used.Along with the water heater he had to replace some other parts based on changes in the building code. He said the entire job would take 3-4 hours. He drained the water heater and then went off to pick up the replacement. The water was off for a little while during the installation process but there were no major problems. About 3.5 hours later, the water heater was ready to go.

They were great. They came out quickly and were very courteous.

Went very well. Nice young man that seemed to be very knowledgeable. In looking at my dryer vent he determined that it would be easier to replace, which he did at no extra charge. Happy with service. They recently sent a thank you card.

I called back to get a quote on a rental home I own in Roseville. I needed a basic dishwashers installed. The "book" quote by Dave over the phone for installing two slide in dishwashers was $1,200.00. Dave then tells me since it is two dishwashers he will lower his price to $800.00. I went with a different plumber who charged me $225.00 for the whole job. No need to call me back on this Mike.

It was very expensive for 45 minutes of work and they did give me an estimate before doing the work, but I was very unhappy with the price.

David was very nice and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and communicated everything in a way easy to understand. Very reliable, on time, and excellent customer service.

Woke up Saturday morning with no hot water, and, could not get the pilot light to start. Called Boyd Plumbing after 8:00 AM and a very personable dispatch person had a technician at my home by 10:00 AM. Repairs were done promptly by a very professional technician. After the work was completed, I did have an opportunity to have conversation with the owner. Mike Boyd is a person who really, really understands customer satisfaction, and, is building a business based on doing a great job for all of his customers. I could not be happier with my experience using Boyd Plumbing. Thanks Mike Boyd and all of your employees for turning a bad (cold water) experience into a good memory.

The service turned out just fine. The cost of the service was just the $49 I paid for the Big Deal. There was one guy that came out. He was punctual, courteous, and a very nice man. He gave me a lot of good information. So, I would use them again. The price was fine. It was comparable to everybody else.

I moved into a new house In Carmichael and needed a new disposal installed. I wanted the quietest disposal money could buy. The plumber who was sent out to the job was a nice guy but always had to check with the owner for everything. I was told the quietest disposal installed was just over $1,000 with a warrant from Boyd's. I agreed just because I was hoping for a great disposal unit. The plumber brought in the box and I noticed on the side of the box it read "quieter" which indicated to me it was not the quietest model. I did a quick search of the model number and Amazon had it for sale for $260. I told the plumber and he had to call the owner to let them know I was not happy. I ended up paying $600 for the disposal, labor and warranty which I still think is way too much. It seems like the company was making numbers up on the spot but justifying the price by saying it was the price listed in the "book". I think the "book" was the numbers that the owner makes up.

It was fine. They were here on time and they were very informative. They gave me feedback on status of those on whether they needed any repair or whether they needed any kind of improvement. They also gave me a proposal to do whatever improvements they thought might be needed. They did not pressure it all, they were just very informative. They actually showed me how to do it in the future, so it was like pretty simple.

Dave from Boyd provided me with a competitive quote and priced out each portion of the job so I knew exactly where the costs were coming from. The other bids we received just assumed we needed total pipe replacement when, at the time, we weren't sure we even needed that. Dave was courteous, knowledgeable, and offered various options to help curb costs. We opted to partially dig up the leaking pipe on our own, only to discover that it was galvanized and needed to be completely replaced. Dave showed up a second time to revise the bid to fit the changing scope of the job. Having Dave come out a second time sealed the deal for us. Once we decided on Boyd, they made us a priority. Our water had to be turned off so Boyd showed up first thing the next morning to start the work. Dave and the crew checked in with us throughout the process. All of their employees showed up on time, worked hard, were courteous and cleaned up after themselves. The job was completed in the time estimated, under less than ideal weather conditions. We had our water back on when promised and Dave personally double-checked we were up and running before he left for the day. Boyd dealt directly with the City for the permits as well. Honest pricing, excellent work ethic and polite, courteous workers. I would recommend them for jobs large and small.

We couldn't be more pleased! I was pleased to get an email stating who was coming along with their picture. John was on time and very pleasant. In checking our faucets he felt the damage was not caused by wear but excessive water pressure. He checked and found our incoming water pressure was 110 PSI. Maximum allowable residential pressure is 80 PSI. As a former RV owner I have seen what excessive pressure can do to indoor plumbing (and it's not a pretty sight). HIs suggestion was an adjustable pressure relief valve installed on the main water line to protect the entire dwelling. As special parts were needed the repairs were performed and complete the next day. The repair time was significantly less than promised. John's workmanship was exceptional, he kept us informed through the entire installation and had a water turned back on quickly. I particularly appreciated his showing my wife how the new shut-off system worked and having her try it to make sure she understood what to do in an emergency. He was also caring about our home (wearing shoe covers while inside). The repaired faucets now function properly again. We will definitely use Boyd Plumbing again and recommend them others!

Thought we were going to have him replace the whole faucet. He checked and said he could fix the one that was there, which he did and it works perfect.

It was alright. My water heater is 30 years old so he actually said that as not to upset the ecology of the heater itself, it was best not to perform the hot water heater flush. For the other projects I did have, he let me know that they would not qualify under the description of the deal. But, he was punctual and it was all satisfactory.

The service was done fairly soon after the purchase. There were no problems scheduling for them to come out. Everything went well.

We were scheduled between 12N and 2pm. We received a call around 2pm telling us that the repairman will arrive 2:45pm. Unfortunately, we had to pick the kids up from school, so we rescheduled at 4pm. The repair person was professional and it took him 20 minutes max to do the repair. We were charged $225 to replace the Thermal Coupler. We called the next day and reminded them of Angie's list 10% discount and they issued a refund a check of the 10%.

I was going to have them come back out, but I've yet to do so. I think there was some mis-communication when he came. My wife thought he was done with what he was doing, and he asked if there was anything else, and she said "no". He had said that the water heater was getting old and probably needed to be replaced, but that everything looked okay right now. He was friendly. I called him back and he said he was willing to come back out and look at the other issues I had. I just never got around to having him come back out. I don't know if I got my money's worth because of that, but that was partially my fault. He said he was willing to come back out and I just never followed up. He's helpful, and gave me some information over the phone.

Jon, the tech provided several strategies for a leak repair in the front yard. He was thorough in his investigation and clear on his explanation of the options available. He is obviously well-informed and competent. We also appreciated his unhurried and thorough insights into the complicated plumbing layout and the strategies needed to resolve the problem. Although we did not engage the services of Boyd Plumbing this time, we would have total confidence in Jon's assessment and job performance.

Our service provider was Dave and he was very friendly and helpful. He took a look at the ceiling and gave us the option of cutting the drywall ourselves and saving the $125 service call and just calling him back to look at the problem. Since my husband was going out of town, we opted to have Dave cut the drywall. He was tidy and efficient and diagnosed the problem as a leaking shower head that was spraying down the wall and into the seam of the tub. We asked about recirculating hot water pumps and he explained it to us and mentioned he had one with him and if we were interested in getting one to just call him up. We decided then and there to get the pump and he installed it immediately! We had a great experience with Dave and will definitely call on him again for our plumbing needs.

John came on time and completed the work that day. He gave me updates and cleaned up after he was done.

He was very thorough, after he completed the flushing, he ensured that the tank is full and water is reaching to the furthest point. He was explaining every step he was going through.
