Description of Work: No work was done, however, I called to see about getting an estimate. I must admit I wanted an estimate done ASAP because I wanted some painting done before a party. The date I was originally given was too close to the party. I explained my situation and she said let me look and see if I can get you something sooner. She came back on the phone and said how about Thursday, today, 10-12. Great. Excited, I took off work half a day to talk to the estimator. I waited until 11:45a and called to see what happened. She said she did not have me scheduled to today but for Tuesday. I was extremely disappointed. There was no apology, no indication that it was their fault. On to the next company which I hope is more considerate.

We are sorry to hear of this customer's experience. We hired a new receptionist and it did not work out. We are finding out through other venues that this was apparently common. we have since made the adjustment and hired a new receptionist. We are always concerned about follow up and apologize to this customer and any others who might have been missed. This has been a very challenging year as we have been very busy with a long back log. This is frustrating to all and really effects our ability to do things in a timely manor. We are finding there has been a considerable amount of attrition in the trades and many are retiring and getting out of the business and not to many are coming back in. This is causing an influx of work with not enough trades contractors to handle the requests. We are trying to keep up with the pace, but is a challenge. Again we are soory for the mistakes and will try and get better.

Description of Work: I contacted the company via telephone to schedule an estimate. The scheduler was very pleasant, professional and helpful. The estimator (Tim Smith) showed up on time and prepared. He spent about 20-30 minutes with me, listening to my concerns and providing insights and advice about the deteriorating state of my house's trim. He left a professionally prepared package of materials which included information about the company, paint samples and a handwritten estimate. I received a formal estimate in the mail about a week later. I did not select this company to paint the trim on my house only because another company provided a lower cost estimate. Based on the reviews I've read, I'm sure So Unique would have done a good job; it was just my need to save a few hundred dollars.
