IKEA EAST PALO ALTO

.More than fifty people waiting on customer service took a hour and fifteen minutes to be waited on. Purchased a product went to return it and it was only two people was working. Terrible service

The ordering process online seems to be easy if you know what you want. I have shopped on other services but I kind of have nothing to compare the price to just as of yet.

They have unassembled kits. So you can buy them and assemble it. The table is a veneer table. They gave me a good deal with good price. They have good variety of furniture that we can choose from. I would probably not shop there again.

Great prices but sketchy customer service. There was only one bookcase on the racks and it was damaged. It took almost 15 minutes to find a person who could check the stock. Lots of people around but no one who knows how to check the system.

We went to Ikea and ordered our cabinets. This needed to be done with one of their kitchen "specialists." They were not very helpful with the project, but we managed to work with Ikea's software to plan our new kitchen. We also asked Ikea to deliver the cabinets at home, as well as the counter top (an Ikea model, not third party). When we payed for everything, we were told that all items were on stock, but on the delivery date we noticed that the counter top was missing. After talking to Ikea, we were told that they didn't have the counter top on stock, and offered a refund. This was not an acceptable solution, as we had a company schedule to install the cabinets, and Ikea voids their warranty if you don't use their own counter tops. After many back and forth phone calls, they agreed to get the counter top from another store in Emmeryville and deliver to our home. Overall, they were fairly unprofessional, as they sold us something that they claimed was on stock, did not deliver it, and didn't make a serious effort to solve the problem until we called several times. I will keep shopping with Ikea, as it is hard to find any other place that can seriously compete with their prices. But their service needs improvement.

The sales people were not smart. Price was good. The delivery people were better than expected.

This looks like a nice place to shop with a lot of product laid out by the rooms in your home. The designs look modern but the quality of the furniture is low and most items are made from particle board or soft woods.

You need to allocate time for Ikea. Even just getting in takes time. Always a long line on weekends, etc. But the prices are very good, and they have interesting design concepts (at least for the novice). Furniture is cheap, but solid enough for what it's worth. Reasonably priced furniture that would last 2-3 years. Returns are a pain in the a**.

We bought all our kitchen cabinets. The design program they have online is pretty good, though there are a few kinks. I went to the store to place the order and had the stuff delivered. The price is awesome 1/4 to 1/3 the price we were estimated from other cabinet places. The cons? Getting through to customer service can be horrendous. Placing the order, if you have a lot of cabinets like we did, can take forever. You have to put the stuff together yourself! And there are lots and lots of parts! But we saved a bundle, and the cabinets are great. They even have the "soft close" option for the drawers and doors. They are excellent cabinets.

Got what I paid for, the dresser was cheap, but service was very mediocre. Knowledge by the staff was just okay, but they were helpful and friendly.

YOU HAVE BUY THEM AT THE STORE, BUT YOU TOUCH THEM AND SLEEP ON THEM OR WHATEVER, THEN MAKE THE DECISION SO IT'S PRETTY EASY TO KNOW WHAT YOU WANT SINCE ALL THE SELECTIONS ARE THERE FOR YOU TO TEST OUT. BUT YOU HAVE TO ASSEMBLE THEM YOURSELF SO THAT'S THE HARD PART.
