Once I got in touch with them finally, they explained that they didn't service my area and that I had to get a refund through Angie's List. I did not find this out until I had gotten in touch with them myself, they did not contact me to tell me this.

I highly recommend this provider!! Sam is awesome. He came out to do the job and was SUPER friendly, professional and informational / educational. I had never had a garage door serviced, so he explained all the parts and pieces and explained what was included in a tune up and why. He also talked to me about the type of garage door I have, in terms of the good features and the things to be aware of / potential future problem areas. I felt like he had my best interest in mind as a customer and he wasn't trying to up-sell me, but to build a relationship for when I do need future work. He even offered to change out the garage door light bulb for me and told me about the impact of LED lights vs. standard. I will definitely call them back when I need future tune ups and/or services for the garage door! (It did take longer to get the service scheduled than I expected. I purchased the service through an Angie's List Big Deal, and it was a full week later before they called to actually schedule the service. I had one reply from them 2 days after the purchase, in response to my message, but I expected them to proactively call me sooner. Perhaps it is because I bought it the first week of January, which is likely busy. Anyway, that was the down side of my experience prior to the actual service. But I will say, the on-site service, expertise and friendly professionalism was worth the wait!!!)

Called and he was here in little more than an hour. We were very pleased with his job performance.

I ordered the service through Angies list and was told I would be contacted with two days. I was not contacted and had to call a week later and schedule the appointment. Once at the house, the problem was diagnosed immediately and the repair was made in the time frame predicted. The technician was very helpful and informative.

Very prompt & professional. Garage door works even better then prior to one of the torsion springs breaking. John (the installer) was very helpful and answered all my questions. He clearly knows what he is doing and was in and out within approximately 30 minutes. I hope his employer values his hi quality skills and overall performance. Dave

I called them and they told me we had to wait till Angie's List called them saying we had paid. I waited a week, after christmas, and I emailed them. I still have not heard back from them.

The deal was for a belt drive LiftMaster 8550 Garage door opener. The first time the installer came, he had a model 8500 shaft drive in his truck. I told him this was not the correct model. He tried to sell me on the idea of installing another brand grade door opener instead - I never heard of the model he was trying to give me. He even went as far as stating it would be an "upgrade" from the 8550 (not true) He left & had to make another appointment to have the 8550 installed. The next day another installer came to install the opener. He did not have the keypad with him, he thought it was in the box - It does not come in the box. He did the install & said they would have to mail me the keypad, which I agreed to. Note: The install that the two workers did was excellent. I am very happy with the 8550 opener & the work / install performed.

My garage door is now about 8 years old and has been rattling more and more. I saw this on Angies' list and thought it was a good price. Wow, I am glad that I did. The repairman was so professional and very knoweldgeable. You could see that he knew what he was doing. After the repair, my garage door was smooth and very quiet... almost like new! I am very pleased with the company!

They did a terrific job and fixed our garage door electrical problems. They were fast and thorough. We will use them again if we ever need work done on our garage.

Scheduled to have service done twice, had to take off from work , company did not show up to do the service twice in a row.

A spring had blow off. He offered and explained well all available options and then fixed it. We chose the middle of the road solution for a 5 year warranty on parts. Very professional and helpful. He even helped program an old garage remote.

The provider was very professional and explained everything in detail. We would highly recommend this company.

They was very good. They came on time and professional. They did the work they said they was going to do.

I called in for an appointment after I purchased the Angie's deal for my upcoming days off, and the person that picked up had a bit of an attitude when he told me that they couldn't schedule me because they only came to my area on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After I hang up, I was ready to cancel the whole thing but decided to think about it. A few days later, someone very friendly called me to follow up on trying to schedule something, so I figured I would give them a 2nd chance and I am glad I did! Anthony showed up, he was super friendly and very helpful! I told him that we didn't have a garage before, so we didn't really know much about it. He didn't just tune up the door, he explained how the door and motor operated, what potential problems to look for in the future, how to open in case of an emergency as well as gave me an ETA on the remaining life of my unit. He also erased all memory from the unit and programmed all remote controls (we purchased an extra universal one from him), including the one from my car. Only after I asked (he didn't try to up-sell me), he gave me some good estimates on what a door upgrade and motor would cost in the future since we are slowly remodeling our home. No up-sells, no pressure, pure informational, and all for the tune up price + the new remote! I would definitely call this company again for either future repairs/tune up, as well as when I am ready to get a new garage door and motor, as long as either Anthony or someone as friendly and helpful as he is, takes care of our account. Obviously the only reason why I deducted some points in my rating was for the person that picked up my original phone-call to schedule, since I almost did not follow through on using their services.

Perform as described in the Big Deal. Quick and simple, no surprises.

The appointment was postponed by the provider by one day, but that was no problem. The tech showed up on time and did the job satisfactorily.

They did a good job and they were on time.

Communication from GDI is not very good. They sent me an email on Nov. 3rd through Angie's List asking for my phone number to set up installation. Didn't hear from them for two days so I had to look up their phone number to call them directly. I'm not confident with using this company. If there's an issue with the installation, I'm not sure if they'll be prompt and attentive in dealing with any issues.

I would definitely recommend this company. The rep Sam was really helpful, friendly and professional. We got the Angie's List deal but needed a remote control and new rollers on our garage door. This was all done in one visit, and they did not charge the extra labor since we were using Angie's List. We programmed 2 cars to our garage door, got the keyless entry, had the door serviced. And he did NOT try to upsell us on extras (I saw this had happened from another review), but rather he told us our door was in good shape and not to replace extra parts until necessary. I am going to have this co. service my parents' door in another location, because they've had multiple "fixes" and still have issues. I have confidence they'll get taken care of with these guys!

The provider I had was a very nice man. He explained everything in detail. Gave me all the options and the benefits of all. The job was different and more than the deal I purchased. However, I chose a replacement and it was done very quickly! I am very happy with the service even though it was much more expensive than I realized it would be. He also to the time to go over how to maintain the door with my son.

The visit was awkward and unpleasant. This "deal" is a paid solicitation and I'm surprised that Angies List allows it. I actually didn't mind the solicitation at first because I'm considering replacing my garage doors altogether. The sales pitch was way too high pressure though. When I told the guy I was uncomfortable he got angry with me, sprayed the garage door a bit and then left without latching the doors back. I couldn't figure out how to re-latch them so I called the office, only to get a passive aggressive guy who didn't care. Super negative experience.

The company asked for my phone number on the 12th and said they'd contact me shortly. They emailed again on the 15th and said they'd contact me shortly to set up an appointment and I still haven't heard from them.
