I purchased two garage tuning from discount deal, they called me 4 days after I made the purchase, scheduled May 7th morning. Didn't show up . I called them , said they can't come on time , so re-scheduled today May 13th 9-12 , didn't show up again . I called again , same story , re-scheduled again same day 5-7pm . I called them again at 7:20pm since I think they never gonna show up , the gentleman who pick up the phone ask if I'm only doing the discount deal, basic tuning , as soon as I said yes , he told me I'm too far and they are not coming , if I want refund then I have to contact Angie's myself.

excellent results, surpassed our expectations. Very noisy operation was quieted a lot. Also repaired a fractured section and reinforced it.

He arrived on time and went to work. Performed a tune up on my garage door and explained that the door was off balance which made the motor work harder.. I had him balance the garage which included changing out the springs, that is why the price went from $39.00 to $297.00 The door closes faster and is quiet now.

No problems were encountered.

On time and completed the prepaid work He also adjusted the door to stop properly since the door would not stay down after having some concrete work done.

He said he had been by my house several times and I was home and outside and he never came by, and I really do not want him doing the job now. He said he came to my house several other time or days but why would he come by on days that were not scheduled? Seems odd.

It went well . Josh did the tune-up and the service was excellent.

Arrived promptly - actually a bit early. The technician, Josh, was friendly, professional and appeared to be knowledgeable. In addition to the service he performed, he also pointed out some areas to pay attention to in the future. I would certainly use this company in the future.

Josh did a great job, showing up early (he called first) and completing the installation in appr. 1 1/2 hrs. The opener is very quiet and I'm happy with both the product and the technician!

Scheduler took time with me to understand my needs, did not rush. Service tech was extremely punctual. I appreciate that! Unfortunately there were difficulties with the tech's level of expertise. He tried several times to get the keyless entry to work without success. Finally I offered to help go through the instructions and together we got it working. A few days after he left I tried the batter backup function and it didn't work. It took a while to schedule a tech to come out to diagnose it. It was a different tech and he found the trouble pretty quickly: the first tech neglected to install the battery. So there seems to be a wide variation in the skill levels of the techs. Purchased as a Big Deal.

He talked me into buying new rollers. I had trouble having the garage door come up on its own. I had to call them to come back out to have them check on the door twice.

Making the appt was easy and they work on Sundays when most don't. I couldn't get my garage door open, so I didn't do much shopping around. Getting an appt was easy and they came out even earlier than they'd initially projected. I was trapped at home since I couldn't get my garage door open and my car was in the garage. There was also a 6% surcharge tacked onto the bill that was never discussed, even though I asked the dispatcher about charges up front -- claimed he didn't know. It was on the total of parts and labor. That seemed pretty shifty, IMHO. I've done a bit of research and it seems like their price for the work was a bit high. Totally my fault for not trying to dicker with them. I paid for my inability to wait until Monday to get it fixed. I gave a low rating for quality because the installer made some comment about China-made steel that didn't inspire confidence in what they were installing, but the springs with the better warranty were almost twice as expensive. These springs are also smaller than the ones they replaced. So, to anyone else considering this company, ask about ALL charges and shop around a bit.

See above. I think he must have lubricated since I don't know what is involved in a tuneup. I'm sure he did what he was supposed to do. Very nice professional person. A little hard to rate because the person was so nice. As soon as the wire was fixed, it's been working perfectly. I would have hated to get a new motor when it only needed a loose wire fixed.

I purchased a tune up special from GDI Garage Doors and set up an appointment. I had to reschedule the appointment which was very easy to do. The tech, Ryan, arrived within the time agreed upon and promptly went to work. Ryan check out all elements of the door and gave me his observations. At this time my door was in pretty good condition and did not need anything other than a minor adjustment, lubrication and roller replacement. Ryan was very knowledgeable, courteous, professional, informative and I was very comfortable with his recommendations.

I called them for scheduling and they responded immediately. They explained they didn’t service the area. I ended up having the deal refunded.

It worked out pretty well. They came out very soon probably within a week. It was just a matter of scheduling. They were very professional and it was a good price. We were happy. Just one person came out and he was fine. It was fine.

They informed me I was out of their service area.

I originally purchased a deal for a garage door service. We they came out they showed me it was not going to do any good to just service the old door. All of the wheels etc would have to be replaced. I picked the door out that day and they called to set the installation for just 2 days later. The installer that came out was very prompt and efficient. He explained how to maintain the door as well as cleaned up when the job was complete. I would recommend this company for it's reliability and follow through.

It was great. The door works wonderfully and quietly.

Took advantage of special ($39), but they did not respond to my request for servicing my garage door. Had to call Angie's List customer service to get them respond to my request. They came within the next 24 hours. Service person was courteous and professional, parts replaced cost ($100). Office was indifferent, needs to improve their responsiveness to their ads and customer request thereof. This service was in and around the posted date above.

The service man was very nice, knowledgeable, and did excellent work.
