Toto's Plumbing

It went very well. The team was professional, they were fast, they were courteous. They quickly fixed the bathroom sink, then moved to the hot water heater where they needed to add several feet of pipe and attached it to an outside drain. They handled this quickly as well. They finished up by installing the new faucet we got for the kitchen sink. There was only one hitch: in unclogging the sink, they clogged the bathtub. This is why I gave them a "B" for quality. However, I gave them an "A' for professionalism because Toto's sent the crew back the same day we discovered the clogged drain and they unclogged it at no cost to us. So I would definitely use them again.

I paid totos $400 to unclog a sink and when they left the sink was unusable and leaked from the wall. They explained to me the pipes were corroded and need to be replaced and said they would follow up with an estimate. They never did. When I called and emailed the, they seemed to have no record of anything. I called them again and they sent the plumber out again to do an estimate. Again I never heard anything back and when I messaged them they had no record of an estimate.

I called, they showed up, identified the problem, they corrected the problem. I would hire them again.

Their bids were so much better than all of the other companies, definietely didn't try to gouge us. They ended up finding the blockage and it turned out to be on the side that the city was responsible for which was good for us. Toto's was wonderful. I am not sure but I believe they specialize in complex, difficult jobs. I would recommend them to anyone.

He was very good. He did a good job. At the time, his price was very good. In fact, he was lower than most of the other competitors. He was responsive to my phone calls and got back to me when I called him. He was on time when he told me he would be. He treated me professionally every time I had contact with him. The only thing is he had a little problem with his English, but other than that he was extremely professional. It was a little bit kind of hard to understand him, but I am sure he is doing okay now. He was very honest.

So impressed with Raul and his responsiveness. He came out on a Saturday within 2 hours of my call to him. Replaced the broken part and recommended a few other items that were failing that he could come back to do at a later time. Super professional and extremely responsive.

They were great. They came out and did the work and I was very pleased. I didn't have any dislikes about the service. I thought they were prompt. They figured out my issue and they did the work in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them.

The work started on schedule, the workers did an excellent job and cleaned up the entire work area in the front of my house when they completed the job. The job passed the city inspection and was certified for the next 10 - 20 years (don't recall the exact number). I would highly recommend Toto's Plumbing for any private sewer lateral work, whether repairs or replacement.

I was informed by one plumber that I need to replace the lateral line between my house and street and it would run around $2,000 to $3,000. I wanted to get a few bids, given the amount, and arranged for 2 plumbers to come by to do a video inspection and prepare an estimate. Toto Plumbing (Mr. Hernandez) said he would to the inspection for $100 and apply it towards the fix. The other company said they would charge $250 for the inspection and only apply it towards a $2,000 or more fix. Mr. Hernandez arrived first, did the inspection, determined that there was nothing wrong with the lateral line, showed me the video, found the problem to simply be a stopped bathtub drain, fixed it and charged me only $150 TOTAL! I was very impressed with Mr. Hernandez's honesty and professionalism. He owns his own small business, has old world values and is a true FIND on Angie's list!

He responded promptly and resolved the problem quickly. He explained clearly what was wrong and suggested options to avoid future problems.

Raul and his team did a GREAT job at a very fair price. The job was started and completed on a timely basis. Raul and his team were very friendly and courteous throughout the entire 6 day process. This was a very difficult job as the plumbing had to be installed going 60' up the side of a hill down to the street. I would hire him again for this type of job anytime!

He has an excellent service. He did a very good job. He came when he said he was going to to and explained everything. I would highly recommend him.

They are good. I thought the prices were very reasonable. I really liked them, the prices were low and the owner came out and talked to me. I have recommended them to friends of mine.

Toto was great. He made the inspection, but didn't charge us because he didn't think it was a plumbing issue. He was very thorough and professional.

From the first phone call that the toilets had backed up n the apartments and the sewage smell was driving out the tenants on a Sunday morning, it was a true emergency. I called a plumber I had used in the past, but they did not provide service on Sundays. So I called Toto's, and spoke with Raul. After explaining the problem, he agreed to meet me at my apartment building. He was prompt and spent the next 8-10 hours unclogging the lines, installing a clean out and restoring service. He brought additional helpers and gave up an event he had planned to attend. They ended up pulling cleaning wipes out of the plumbing, something I hope the tenants never flush again! Overall I was very happy with the services and how promptly they arrived.

My husband called Toto's Plumbing for a last minute sewer lateral clean-out and video. Toto's Plumbing responded quickly, coming out to our house to see what needed to be done (at the time, we didn't know if we needed a clean out). Within a week, we had our permit approved and all was well.

I had a galvanized pipe serving my outdoor sprinkler system corrode and burst at about 6PM. We had to shut down the main service to the house. I called eight plumbers before I got to Toto, they all told me that no one was available to come out to our house in the Oakland Hills. Toto sent Rick and his apprentice out. They evaluated the problem and came up with a creative solution. they dug down to the nearest junction and worked hard to get a valve onto the remaining pipe. In the rain. Excellent problem solving skills. Will use again.

They were very responsive and listened to my issues. I explained to them that I was having plumbing issues every year and wanted them to find the root of the problem. That is exactly what they did. Rick and Sudam worked really hard to get my pipes working for me to use. The first day they snaked my lines but they kept getting stuck at the same location as the camera. Then they discovered that I had a leaky kitchen pipe that needed to be fixed immediately as all the stuff was draining to the crawlspace (smelled like sewer). The next day Rick and Sudam changed my kitchen pipe, and my toliet and shower backed up that day after being used. On the third day, they installed the 2 way cleanout to see what is the cause of the blockage. With the camera they saw a collapse lateral pipe. During these four days, they have snaked my pipes 3 times. I really appreciate that they are trying to keep my pipes clear until I can get my lateral pipe fixed. I was not able to get quotes from other companies to know how competitive their prices were due to the nature of the problem.

I would call on Toto's plumbing for any future plumbing need.

He was very honest and did not try to sell a whole replacement. He went through several diagnostic options but did not actually do any because he could not convince himself they were warranted. I know a bit about this particular sump and its age and was willing to have it replaced as we were about to leave on vacation. But he did not feel comfortable doing that until he was sure. Overall it was just a diagnostic and re assemble as I had taken the lids and seals apart

My only is the caveat that I have is that I cannot be positive about this vendor because I did not get any business cards from either of the "local" subcontracted experts that were chosen and paid by the manufacturer that is located in New Jersey awful,poor utilization of my time

Found Raul Hernandez on Angie's List. Called on a Saturday, and he showed up 45 minutes later. His crew was prompt, diligent, courteous, and trustworthy. This is the best plumbing service I've ever used in the past 40 years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Raul was really precise and very easy to work with, very responsive and professional. There was one adjustment he needed to do in getting a series of large pipes to fit closer to the wall, and he made that adjustment without hesitation. He also paid special attention to our new kittens, not letting them sneak outside, and he picked them up and petted them frequently! Very touching.

The Hernandezes were courteous, clear in letting me know what they were discovering, and have proposed a subsequent improvement to the sewer line. I will definitely follow up with them once I receive the bid.

Failure We asked them to snake an upstairs shower drain that was backing up water.The owner's son came Raul Jr. and he brought a helper.The helper was very young - 17-21(?) and didn't speak English at all. It looked like he was getting trained. .They tried two different rooter sizes and then went to Home Depot get a really small manual one. The came back 2 hours later and still couldn't get it unclogged to as they were not able to get through or clear the P-trap. So they recommended cutting a hole in the ceiling in the room below and replacing the P-trap for $500-700 (!) Plus when they left it was worse than before and they left a mess in the shower floor and walls - no clean up. NOT professional They didn't fix it so at least they didn't charge me- would have bee $150. The next business day we called a different plumber -Gladiator ( who we had used before) and they came the same day and the guy was done in 10 minutes - it as just hair in the drain! Less than $100. So maybe Raul Sr. is great- but they need to train their guys better
