The work was done on time and everything was done perfectly. I highly recommend Joel and I'd have him back again for any telephone wiring problems.

I called Joel to take a look at an existing telephone jack that did not work. He arrived on time, got right to work and was very friendly. He determined that the old jack was no good and not hooked up properly anyway. So he installed a new one. He was in and out of the house in under 30 minutes. I called him again about a week later to put in another jack (We thought we only needed the one, but electronics being what they are, we needed another). Again, he was prompt, friendly, got right to work. When I called him because there was some static on the phone line, he talked me through what to do to solve the problem and he called me back to follow up and make sure everything was okay. I intend to use him again and would heartily recommend him to friends.

Joel is so experienced that he knew what he was looking at, he quickly assessed and told me clearly what he was going to do, and showed me once he was done how everything worked. Basically he had to wire around the crazy old system so it worked simply, make a few jacks live, install a triple jack in one place, and set it up for ATT to make it live. He showed me what ATT needed to do once they came, and it worked - I have all the jacks working and everything is great. Joel is fantaastic.

Joel answered right away while on another job and offered to come the same day in the evening. He was friendly, knowledgable, well equipped, time-efficient and very reasonably priced, and made sure both lines were working on multiple jacks before pronouncing it "done" when he could have been less thorough easily enough. He wrote up an invoice for me and gave me his card, and gave a small Angie's List break and senior price break despite the very low flat rate he had quoted over the phone (and stuck to). Former AT&T employee, he knows his stuff (at least more than I needed, which might potentially have been pretty involved with all the little extra stuff attached to the line over the years). Very positive experience. I paid for his bridge toll coming over (not that he asked) as a little bonus.

I currently hav Comcast phone and internet service and wanted to install Ooma to replace my phone service. I'm very non-technical and ended up with wires all over the place and my Ooma not working and the rest of my phones not working either. I phoned Joel on Saturday, hoping to set up an appointment in the next few days, and he offered to come out right away. When I described the problem, he quoted me $80. He lives in Oakland and I live in Palo Alto, but he was out there within about an hour. He looked over my setup and the instructions and assured me that he would get it set up correctly and working. He talked to the Ooma tech support folks for quite awhile until he had everything set up and working correctly. Given that he had consisderable travel time and spent more than an hour getting everything set up, he only charged me the $80 he originally quoted, which I thought was a bargain. I would definitely call him again for any problems I had with phones or wiring of any kind.

Joel was very professional and friendly, and worked with me to find a way to wire the cable without punching holes throughout the house. He spent a good 2 hours or so to make sure the wiring was done correctly and didn't surprise me with any extra charges. Overall I was very pleased.

I called Joel (pronounced Joe L. btw,) on Monday and he made an appointment for 9:30am the next day. He arrived exactly on time instead of the "4 hour window" I would have gotten from the phone company. He traced the wiring and told me that he could rewire me from the switch to the new office but that I would still have to call the phone company for a new connection because the wiring to the old office wasn't in the same box as the wiring for the new office. I was depressed. This building is very old and there has been a huge amount of wiring and re-wiring done over the years and there are phone boxes everywhere. But I had been through a similar situation a few years ago and knew where the main switch was in the basement and showed Joel the box. He was able to make the complete switch and was done in about 1.5 hours. I didn't have phone or DSL service for maybe 20 minutes while he did the switch. He was very nice and explained everything thoroughly.

I can not say enough good things about my experience! If you need cable, telephone wire, ethernet cable, etc. run into your home by a pleasant, professional man who cares greatly about the quality of service, Joel is your guy. I was able to get my TV and internet up and running without unsightly cords and splitters run through my home. I may hire him again in the future to cable up my spare bedroom as well.

Joel is very professional and personable. Gave me an initial quote for the job over the phone. When he came out, we modified the job a bit and he gave me a new quote. At that point, I think we had an error in communication, as one of the locations got "lost" in the quote. When I thought the job was done, turned out we had one more room to do and this was the most expensive. No complaint, just a misunderstanding. My job was rather complex, not just a simple telephone repair, but really a whole house rewiring and losing the extra room was understandable, just a surprise to me when it came time to pay. When I pointed out that a couple of the jacks that he installed in the wall did not line up properly with existing wall jacks for electrical, Joel went back and fixed them the best he could. Luckily I was about to repaint the whole house, so mudding and fixing the existing holes wasn't a problem, but it would have been if I had not planned on the interior repaint.

He was phenomenal. He came when it was raining and within the same day that I called. He worked in the rain for an hour and a half and got it fixed. Ever since we have had no problems with the line. He was very friendly and responsive. Also, he was very good and kind with my four year old son.

We are extremely pleased with Joel's work. He's very courteous and professional. When I called him to schedule an appointment, I only asked for one phone jack installation. At first, I was worried if he was willing to do a small job. It turned out that he was very understanding and accepted the job. On the appointment day, we decided to add one more phone jack and one for cable. Again, he was very understanding and very responsive to our request. We highly recommend his business. Joel, thanks for your service.

Joel came on time to provide an estimate, spending an hour looking in attics, crawl spaces, etc., to provide a firm estimate. His was not the lowest bid, but his initial thoroughness and promise that they would cut the minimum number of holes in walls gave me more confidence in the quality of the work that would be done. He and his team were able to start work within a day, and worked odd hours, including well into the night (the home was unoccupied at the time). The cables and jacks were installed cleanly with one exception where the painters had to patch drywall around a rough jack. He was able to work with extra thick speaker cable. The project took longer to complete than initially estimated, but there was no urgency,as other contractors were also completing their work. I was impressed that only one extra wall hole had to be cut to fish wire. When I noticed that one external run was not properly attached to the house, he immediately came over to fix it.

Joel was friendly and competent. I offered him more money because he went beyond putting in a telephone jack and the service call was quite long. He would only take the $60. He had a good sense of humor and a lot of confidence in his work.

Got promptly to work by assessing the situation, offered creative solutions, was quick and pleasant. He has worked for the phone company and knows their system in and out. He told me that he could also do cable so I will have him back. He quoted a flat rate over the phone and though he quoted $75 I gave him $100 because I felt the work was more extensive than I had described to him over the phone.

I sent Joel an email with a description of the work on Sunday night. He called me Monday morning and went over the specifics and the price. He was very polite and easy to talk to. We made an appointment for Wednesday morning between 9:00 and 10:00. On the day of the job, he called me at 9:45 to let me know that he was on his way and would be there in 5-10 minutes. Once he arrived, he asked exactly where we wanted the jack. Since we wanted it behind the TV cabinet, he had to move the cabinet as well. He was done in just over an hour and cleaned up everything before leaving. I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend him for this kind of work.
