They oversold us on multiple things that did the same thing. If you are getting the pet deodorizer, you don't need the additional anti-bacterial. We clean our carpets every three months so they would have been better off being honest and charging me a reasonable price than to increase the price by almost $200 at the last minute. Their quality wasn't as good as the other chem dry cleaners either.

Chem Dry Carpet Tech did an excellent job! I would highly recommend them. They were very courteous, knowledgeable, meticulous and professional. They had to clean 3 sets of curtains/drapes, and about 15 pillow covers. I had never used them for this service before, as I usually only use them for carpet cleaning (West Los Angeles location), for which they do an excellent job, too. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I would recommend them to others because of their price and professionalism.

I have used Chem-Dry for quite a few years. That said, I have used a local Chem-Dry service who I was NOT pleased with. I now have notes in my files who not to call and which Chem-Dry franchise I like. With Chem-Dry Carpet Tech, I have been really happy. Two friendly men did my job each time. About a year ago, Mario and Cesar came out and did a great job. This time Carlos and Cesar did the work. It was the best ever. My husband really messes up the carpet in his office. It is bad. So whenever he goes out of town, it is an opportunity to get cleaning done without interrupting his work. When he came home, he noticed how clean and commented it was the best job ever. I have to agree. They stayed until the carpet were really clean and almost all pre-spotting residue was gone. I like that Chem-Dry uses carbonated water and not a lot of soap that stiffens the carpet. I think they use soap for pre-spotting, but I am not sure. The carbonated water bubbles the dirt up and somehow it works. The method is superior. It isn't true that the carpet dries in a couple of hours. Don't expect that. It will take the day. I recommend this company completely and trust them in my home. I will ask for Carlos and Cesar again. Super job.

I called them and tried to set an appointment and they couldn't work any of the days that I needed. It was just difficult to get scheduled.

Quite frankly, I have dealt with carpet cleaners before and this was a pretty typical quasi scam. I had thought Angie's List would screen such operations.||Jeff Rollins

They were on time. There was a little initial confusion about the prepaid "Big Deal" - but once that was resolved, everything was fine. Technician did a very thorough and good job and we are pleased.

They did not move anything, and I mean nothing, not a chair that was on wheels. It was the worst carpet cleaning ever. Plus, the big deal that I bought was for x number of square feet and they didn't mention in the deal that stairs would not be included so I ended up paying a lot more for stairs.

We purchased the Angie's list coupon for $89.95 which should include 650 sq. ft of carpet. They measured our space at 730 sq. ft so we had to pay extra $24 for that. In addition, they charged $9.00 for waste disposal fee, $48.00 for stairs, $75.00 for restorative carpet cleaning, $95.00 for stain fighter. We declined a $50.00 sanitizer so the entire bill came to $370.95. After they deducted the Angie's list pre-paid coupon of $89.95, we owed $281.00 that day. They definitely tried to up sell us, but they took three hours to complete and did a good job. We do not have pets or children so the carpets weren't that dirty. We have used Chem Dry for several years on our carpets/upholstery and this is not that different form our usual experience.

The work was fine, but buyer beware. The coupon states it is for any 6 areas, but the fine print limits it to 600 square feet. Most, if not all, jobs will be a larger area. That is where they get you. The regular prices apply to the extra area- although they did honor the Angie's List 10% off coupon. This is not a criticism of this particular company. Every company works like that. Just know you are going to get: a good initial price that does not cover enough carpet and then a big bill for the rest of the work. Just to emphasize though---,the work was fine, the workers were on time, worked hard, and were polite.

While the cleaning was effective, I was dissatisfied with the following: The manager had quoted me $300-$400 for 3000 sq ft (no furniture in the house). The actual measurements turned out to be ~1850 sq ft and it was closer to $500 despite being less space. (I opted for the sanitizing upcharge since the prior owners had a dog.) The original appointment was 10:30 AM arrival. Though I was notified it would be 11:30 instead of 10:30, the crew arrived at ~1 PM. The carpet felt slightly damp and didn't fully dry until the day after. I've used another Chem Dry affiliate and had expected the drying to be sooner. White scuff marks were left on dark wood base boards for custom cabinetry in a couple of areas in my house. White scuff mark on my painted fireplace in the living room was also found. I cannot readily remove these marks. The paint on several corners of my baseboards were scraped off by the hosing used to do the cleaning. A couple of corners were damaged. A couple of rubber tips for door stoppers were damaged or removed. I contacted the office to have these issues rectified and never heard back after several weeks. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and will never use this vendor again.

Chem Dry Carpet Tech did a very good job. However, I thought I have bought a coupon through Angie's List and they couldn't find it since the charge did not show up on my credit card, apparently it never got bought so I can't blame them for that. They were very gracious about it. They got in touch with me the next day and I didn't need them for another month.

I had them out once prior and they did a great job. The second time was different story though. He was telling me I owed him $300 before he even did the cleaning. It was a major ordeal dealing with him. He didn't’t understand the way the big deal worked, and there seems to be a miscommunication between the people in the office and the workers that come to the job. The carpet was cleaned and he did a good job, but the customer service was bad to say the least.

They arrived on time. We discussed the area to be cleaned and the did a good cleaning. They do not move any large pieces of furniture....just clean around them.

Turned up on time. Very professional. After job completed the tiles looked like new.

The carpet was cleaned of all spots and the time taken was quick and the dryin process was also quick. Will use them again.

Although I always cringe at the price, chem dry does such a good job removing stains from our carpet that I can't go to any other company. The spots do not come back as fast as when I have used other companies. They are always professional and polite. Theo is great!

While getting the house ready for sale, it was a hectic scene when Chem-Dry Carpet Tech workers Jorge and Andres arrived. We were coordinating with other vendors - house painter, iron fence company, tile man - all at the same time. Seeing how busy we were discussing these other projects, Jorge and Andres took the initiative, and with our permission, went and looked for the carpeted areas of the house, took their measurements, and gave us their written estimate, all without us being present. The estimate was thorough and complete. They politely answered all our questions - when were they available, how long would it take, how long to dry, etc. We found the price to be competitive, but choose to try Stanley Steemer instead, because we were not pleased with a different Chem-Dry company we had used before.

Workers would not move washer & dryer to clean floor so that will be done another day.

The only problem was a missunderstanding with the process between Angie's List, Chem Dry, and myself. I had't realized that I had paid Angie's List the special sales discount fee before I contacted Chem Dry. Chem Dry told me my sectional was longer than the special sale price when I called them. They gave me the increased price at that time and I agreed to it. When Chem Dry came to the house and performed the work their bill showed Angie's List special price and the increase price for the additional length of my sectional. I paid the full price of the bill. Later when I saw Angie's List had deducted the special price from my credit card I contacted them. They told me to contact Chem Dry. It took several months for Chem Dry to return the special price refund.

I believe they did the best they could under the circumstances. The carpet was old and worn & really needs to be replaced. Their system improved the appearance of the carpet 100 %. The price was considerably higher than quoted but considering the effort they had to put into it it was worth the $309 they charged. I think they do themselves a disservice by low balling the original estimate. That seems to be the standard practice amoung most carpet cleaning companies. I think it's counterproductive. These guys were very professional & courteous. I have to say that considering what they had to work with, they did a very good job.

Dealing with the company on the phone and setting up the appointment was easy and swift. A reminder email and telephone call was a nice touch. The crew arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule (which was great). The boss measured the total area to be cleaned and came up with fewer square feet than I had mentioned on the phone, so the price was actually lower than quoted, always good. Very honest company. They did recommend special treatment on that section of our light beige carpet that is in a heavily trafficked hallway. While they warned us that the hallway could not be restored to pristine look, we can't say the outcome looks like much of an improvement even though we know it is clean. The bedrooms look much better as the traffic pattern hasn't worn over same spots. Probably our fault for buying too light a color carpet. The hesitations I have are that the carpet took much longer to dry than anticipated and we had to rework our schedule as a result since we couldn't put things back when we planned to. Also, the cost is definitely higher than regular service like Coit that always has huge discount sales.

The gentleman arrived late. It was early evening when he arrived so the light was not the best in my unit. There was lint left in the carpet as there was no vacuum function to their equipment. The equipment left splash marks on my furniture. He dropped solution on my teak dining room table which left drip marks that were not removable. It really made me regret not using the company I have used successfully in the past.
