Rain Away Seamless Gutters

The prices were incredibly good. They were clean, prompt, and professional. I cannot say enough about them. I have already recommended them to friends, which I will not do unless I am completely satisfied. They went out of their way to redirect the down spout so it would not be on the front of the house. They really made sure that I was a satisfied customer. They were very easy to work with. They were very good at listening to what I wanted as the customer. I could not be more pleased. I had received another quote from a different company and it was almost double. My neighbor watched them work all day putting up the gutters, she was so impressed that she asked me for their number so when she needs gutters she can use Rain Away.

An estimator arrived early(!) and appraised the work. The work was done the next day.

The estimator came one day to measure and schedule the installation appointment. He was on-time as were the installers. The work was done well, but the estimator's assurance that the installers would not need access to my neighbor's balcony proved incorrect. An hour into the job I realized they had crawled onto the balcony which later required a few apologies to my neighbor.

I contacted them and was able to set up an estimate appt. right away. Gabriel was on time, professional and quick. The estimate seemed reasonable, so I contracted them. I was also having my house painted, and they were very good about accommodating the painting schedule. They removed and hauled away my old gutters within a couple of hours. It took about 2 weeks for the house to get painted, and once that was done, I called to have my new gutters installed. They came within a few days, and did the installation while I was at work, so when I got home, everything was done. I had bought a rain chain for the front of my house, and they were easily able to install it. The final price was exactly what I was quoted. It's been a year since I had the work done, and it all still looks and works terrifically.

I was actually afraid to leave this review for fear of retaliation by this company's owner - his temper is that bad - but I think people need to hear this story. The gutter installation went smoothly and I was quite pleased. It wasn't until after the installation that things went terribly wrong... I had the bad luck of somebody bouncing a big check to me earlier that week, and as a result, I bounced several small checks I wrote from that account - one of which went to Rain Away. When their secretary called to tell me, I apologized and made it clear I would provide a replacement check. They also requested a $50 bounced check fee for their bank, but faxed me a new bill showing a $25 fee. I called back and politely asked about the difference before I wrote the replacement check. BIG MISTAKE! I was completely attacked and verbally assaulted by the owner, Jim, who made it very clear that he could charge whatever he wanted for a bounced check, and that he expected payment hand-delivered to him by the next day! He carried on yelling at me for quite some time before I could even get a word in. He pretended like I was trying to get out of paying altogether, and threatened to put a Mechanic's Lien on my house for the paltry $300 if he didn't receive his payment the next day. Why would somebody do that when you were just trying to pay them? Of course, everybody knows you can't file a lien without submitting all the proper legal notices to the homeowner. I informed him that I would mail the check at my convenience (I mailed it the next day). I also requested my old check to be sent back to me, which he refused to do! The owner was way out of line, especially for a company rated so high on Angie's List. Lesson learned: don't set this guy off! I just hope this never happens to other customers, or worse yet - to his employees.

Rain Away's estimator came at the appointed time to make a estimate for our gutters. After getting other estimates which were more expensive I chose Rain Away. I scheduled them to do the work the following week on a Monday. I didn't hear from them prior to their coming, so I checked on the Friday before and they confirmed they would be there Monday. I asked about when they would show up and they said in the morning. They arrived as promised, but it was very late in the morning. After breaking for lunch they got right to work. The job took about four hours and they completely removed all the old gutters, hauled the old gutters away and installed brand new seamless aluminum gutters. Once they got going the job went well.

I had trouble with them. It hasn't rained yet, so the guttering hasn't been tested. I contacted them because my roofer (not Angie's List) recommended them. The people who came out said that Gabriel in the office had contracted it out to them. The gutters look great, but they didn't tell me there was a gap between the roof and stucco. I can't imagine how the roofer left it that way and didn't tell me. I would have had the gap fixed before the gutters were installed if I'd known. Also, they left some trash. I talked to them, but they still left trash. The gutters are beautiful and big. They also made an extension of one of my downspouts.

The estimator came out on time and gave a quote on the spot. Price was very competitive. Three days later the crew came out and finished the job in about 5 hours. Very professional.

The estimate was very complete professional and detailed. Gabrial gave the estimate and did a great job. The pricing was about half of what the other 2 estimates I received. They promised the work would only take one day and came through with their promise. They replaced a total of 200 feet of gutters and 7 downspouts. They hauled away the old gutters and cleaned up the property very well I have recommended this company to others I know and continue to.

I was very impressed with the communication and responsiveness. Very professional. Quick contract writeup. Smooth; smooth. The job was not perfect initially. I came home and saw my gutter was still drooping in one area and called them to come back out and look at it. They did return promptly and repaired it so that that one area no longer dips down.

They were on time for measurements and estimates. It was nice they could give the estimate on the spot. Very accommodating to first remove the old gutters and give me a couple of weeks so I could sand and paint the underlying wood. They gave me a scrap piece of gutter in the color I was going to have them install, so I was able to take it and get a great color match for painting the wood trim behind where the gutters go. And they were accommodating time wise when during sanding/painting I found a bit of termite work that had to be repaired first on the trim. Before the gutter install, I noticed some houses near mine where the gutters were a different color than the downspouts (so that the downspouts blended in with the walls.) They had no problem with this request (after my initial order but before installation) and came out with the right colors for the gutters and downspouts. Work was completed in a day. Looks nice and I haven't noticed any leaks at any connections.

The estimate was sent promptly and the work done as stated and on time. I recommend this company.

They showed up on time and finished the job within 3 hours. We needed to make some minor changes during the job and this was done with no problems or additional cost. We also deleted a section of gutters as recommended by the crew chief and received a discount. Excellent integrity and professionalism. I wish more contractors followed their lead.

I called and made an appointment with Kyle, and he arrived promptly at the appointed time. He spent time with me discussing the gutter options and made some recommendations that "fit" our house, including "collector boxes" for the front of the house and gutter color. While he didn't have pictures of possible "collector boxes" with him, the next day he dropped off a diagram of some 12 or 14 options, with one style circled as a recommendation. We took all of his recommendations, and the house looks great. Rain Away were flexible with us in scheduling the work around other work we were doing. Three men came on the appointed day to install the gutters and did the job in about 3 hours. I wanted them to cut the gutter in one spot to "wrap" it around an electrical conduit, figuring we would go back and caulk it. Instead, they caulked it for us without our having to ask. We are very happy with their work!

I called them; we made an appointment for 3pm. At a quarter to 4, he was not here. After I called them, they told me they were 5 minutes away, I waited around for a while; they still did not show up. I just ended up leaving my property after waiting around for a total of 45 minutes.

Initial office and phone response was prompt and professional. Rep was able to do estimate the next day and price was better than any of the other two estimates I solicited. Was able to schedule my install 2 days later. All employees knew their business and were prompt and courteous. Very professional. I recommend them.

I needed new gutters installed in a recently remodeled portion of my house, about 80 ft. worth. I was going to attempt to buy gutters myself and have a friend install, however, we just kept procrastinating. I decided to search Angie's List and found Rain Away. I called on Monday, Kyle came out that afternoon and gave me an estimate that I thought was very reasonable. I wanted the gutters to match my trim (a dark brown) and I didn't want vinyl, I wanted aluminum, they had a wide variety of colors to choose from. I accepted their bid and they were out the next day to install. They did a professional job from start to finish, everyone from office staff to estimator to installers was professional and on the ball. Having been in the midst of remodeling for a year and a half with all the decisions and budget overruns that entails, it was such a relief to get this one job taken care of without any hassles and at such a reasonable price. I highly recommend this company.

This was a completely satisfactory experience from start to finish. The estimator showed up on time and I was pleased that the estimate gave us several options: from replacing only the section of old gutters that had fallen down, to replacing several sections, to performing a complete replacement, which is the option we chose. Good selection of colors to choose from. We were able to schedule the job quickly. The workers showed up when promised, worked steadily, completed the job within a matter of hours. They did a very clean job and left no mess behind. The new gutters look great.

Had some minor problems with original work but they repaired it perfectly and did more work. Looks good and works well.

Excellent. The estimator showed up on time; gave me an accurate estimate and told me how to coordinate their job with the roof replacement I was also having. He wrote the estimate out with the correct color choices. I called the company when the roof was finished and they showed up when they said they would, removed the old gutter and down spout, and put up the new one. It was a very clean professional operation.

The work went great! First of all, I had 4 to 5 people either not quote on the job or failed to show up. The 30 foot section of rain gutter was approximately 3 stories up with limited ground access. Rain Away came in and did the entire job in about 90 minutes. Great work.

Our call was answered promptly. I chose when the estimator was to come. He arrived promptly, agreed with what we thought needed to be done, added an additional project IF we wanted it now. The gutter man came (I don't know his name), although he spoke primarily Spanish, he clearly understood what needed to be done. Finished the necessary repairs and did a bit more. Agreed that the second project could be done at another time, if we wished.

The workers were on time, finished much quicker than expected, and cleaned up very well after completing the job. We were given many color options. The estimator chose an excellent color for the gutters. We would not have made as good a choice ourselves. The color for the downspouts, Cape Blue, matched the stucco of our house almost perfectly. We selected the company because of Angie's List and couldn't be happier. Our general contractor happened to be at our home while the gutters were being installed, and he was very complimentary about the work.

We are remodeling our home in the spring, including new gutters, so I only needed the existing gutters repaired enough, to last me through this winter. Rain Away was able to send an estimator out in about 3 days, who arrived on time and gave me a bid of $250 (their minimum charge). They were able to schedule the repair, for that Saturday. As I was going to be away the next week, though they could not give me a time, so I had to set aside the whole day. The workers showed up on time and performed the requested work. I won't know if the repairs were done properly, until it rains of course, but everything seems fine, though they repaired the broken seams with caulk, rather than rewelding. But, then again I wanted the cheapest repair, because it was only for one winter. So overall, assuming the gutters function well throughout this winter, I'm quite satisfied with this company, especially after all the hassles with Reliable Rain Gutters, which botched appointments & gave too high a price.
