Rain Away Seamless Gutters

They did a terrific job and I spent about $500. Everything about them stood out. They were on time, the price was great and they were fast. The product looked great and they were very concerned that it worked right on my house. I would absolutely use them again.

This was a good experience from start to finish. Contacted them one day and they came out the next day to give me a written estimate. Installation was three days later-but I should add that my service request came during a week long rain storm in the area.

Three men came to clean my rain gutters- not the man who gave the estimate. They rang my bell and said they would clean the gutters and I went into my house. The next thing I knew I hear them walking all over my tile roof yelling to each other and water was pouring down all sides of my house. My patio where my dog was lying was drenched. It never occurred to me that they wouldn't use ladders to clean the gutters. I've had it done before and no one ever walked on my roof. Walking on a tile roof should definitely be avoided because the tiles break easily. The finished in maybe an hour, perhaps less.

Angie's list saved the day and we finally have gutters and yes we splurged on copper. The owner came out and looked at the job and said he would try to install a gutter at his own expense to see if the install would work. They showed up on a Saturday morning with a big truck, crew and fabrication equipment and and did the trial gutter. It worded fine and they continued the job until late that afternoon. They finished the job in 2 days and considering the remote location of our house, that was a record. The crew cleaned after themselves (another record), showed up on time and asked questions on what we wanted . Thank God the gutters are holding up fine with the El Nino rains and massive winds. We highly recommend this company.

The project itself was non-eventful. The outcome of the job, in my opinion, was very poor.

They were excellent. The quality of their workmanship, salesman, punctuality and prices were all excellent. They were very good, obliging and the salesman gave a lot of different ways of things that could be done that I did not consider.

Gutters on my house were in ok shape, but there were a couple spots where the pitch of the gutters was wrong, and water flowed over the edge in a hard rain. I installed a new downspout on my own, and wanted it professionally done before the next rainy season. I also had problems with leaks and overflowing in other areas -- I had no idea why, so I called Rain Away, who had the best reviews on Angie's List. My experience with Rain Away was only so-so. The estimator (who was polite and seemed to know his stuff) came out to look at my gutters; I told him my issues, and he wrote up an estimate with a price that came in about the same or a little less than others I go bids from. He wrote up a contract to re-pitch my gutters and repair the areas that were leaking in hard rains. There was a time delay of almost 2 weeks before the crew came out, because the estimator got my paperwork mixed up with another house; after 3 phone calls, I got them to straighten it out. We set a date and time for the work to be done, and I arranged to be home when the crew got there -- I was told they would be there first thing in the AM. Instead, they showed up around 4pm. Workers were polite, efficient, and clean. They asked if my gutters had been cleaned recently; I replied that they had, but not by a gutter specialist -- a handyman had done it. The crew said nothing more, then went ahead and replaced the downspout and added screens as per the contract, and replaced another elbow in an area where I had leaks. They also replaced a horizontal run of gutter that had been damaged. They worked remarkably fast. When I asked about re-pitching the gutters, as per the contract, the foreman said the gutters didn't need it. I was a little peeved because I had apparently already paid for it, but whatever -- if the work didn't need to be done, then why do it. I paid by check, they packed up and took off. End of story. But not really. That night we had the first (and only!) rain of the season. The new downspout worked great. But the elbow where I had leaks in the past sprouted a comical number of leaks, and the overflowing water kept everyone up at night. Bummer. So I called Rain Away the next day, told them about the leak, and they said they would send someone out to re-caulk the gutters at an undetermined time in the future. I asked that they give me a call when they knew when exactly they could come, so I could be present and see that all the issues were solved. When I hadn't heard from Rain Away in a week or so, I called back, and was told that the crew had already been out to caulk the gutters. At this point, I figured that I had learned my lesson -- while Rain Away staff were usually very polite when I called, they were either too big or busy a company to accommodate my pretty simple needs. The gutters were indeed re-caulked, which was cool, but one big thing that bugged me when the original crew came out is that they never tested the gutters with a hose -- how can you be sure a repair is good if you don't test the gutter with water? Of course, when I checked the newly caulked gutters with a hose, they sprung leaks everywhere as before. Long story short, I called another gutter company to come out and take a look -- the first thing the estimator did was bang on the downspouts, and inform me that they were all clogged with last year's leaves. After cleaning out the vertical gutters on all corners of the house -- made more difficult by the fact that Rain Away had effectively sealed the leaves in some downspouts when they installed screens over the gutters -- they worked like a charm. No more leaks! So... Did I need any of the work that Rain Away did for $350? Let's just say that aesthetics and screens aside, a $100 cleaning might have been just as good. Am I saying that the Rain Away estimator and crew knew that all I needed was a cleaning, and that the new elbow, etc., were superfluous? My charitable assessment is that they were too busy and/or hurried to listen closely to my description of the problems I was having and suggest a less expensive alternative. But you be the judge.

They were great. They came on time and their work was professional. The price was reasonable. I loved them.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I'm very happy with the job they did - now I just have to wait for it to rain!

They were fast, clean and did a good job. We set a time for them to come out, but they got here before us. They used a ladder to enter our property and start working without us being here. When one of them leaked they came back and caulked it. I have nothing to compare their price to, but it seemed reasonable. I would hire them again.

Great, Kyle was early on our appointment when we met, his crew was timely and neat. My house has some drainage challanges and the guys were great thinking out of the box to accomodate. Stayed as long as needed to get it done right.Use them, they are very good.

They were quick and reliable. They paid attention to details. Their price was good.

Rainaway gave me a quote for new gutters and installed them within a week of my calling their office. However, when I inspected the gutters, they were covered in small dents and most were scratched probably due to a fault in the machine used to make the gutters on site. When I called to complain, I was told that ?scratches happen during construction?, which I thought was not a very professional explanation, but that someone would come out to take a look. They did not arrive on the day they specified (I wanted to make sure that I was at home), and when they did, they merely spray painted over the scratches. So, I was left with gutters that looked like they had been installed years before and that had been touched up. I had to wait at least a month before they eventually replaced the gutters, again when I was not at home. The owner of this company should train his staff to be more courteous over the phone and to fix mistakes in an appropriate and timely manner.

We have used this company previously and liked them so much we had them back two years later. We were very pleased with the price and the staff working on the job. The work was excellent both the first time and this time.

I thought they were very good. They were very courteous, very nice and at very good price. They followed through and cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again... but hopefully not for another 20 years (lol).

The only complaint is that an exterior lamp got broken and I don't know when and they did not take responsibility for it. I couldn't prove they did it, so I dropped it.

The estimator was easy to communicate with and did a, basically, good job, however his diagram proved somewhat confusing to the workers who actually installed the gutters. The day of the install was a day that the office was closed, and the crew did not arrive until about four hours after the scheduled time, when I could not be there. Fortunately my girlfriend was home, as I had already left. I imagine that the small list of corrections that resulted could undoubtedly have been resolved on the spot, had the work been done as scheduled. But, I was not able to be there, so there were a few loose ends to follow up on. It seemed to me that the company was perfectly willing to do the follow up needed to correct the minor issues left by the install, and the work was done professionally, both initially and on the return visit. It was a little hard to get them to call me back; I understand that they are busy since it is rainy season in the Southland. However, there was some lack of professionalism when it came to phone communication that I found a little surprising. Nonetheless, all is well that ends well, and the gutters seem to be functioning just fine.

Rain Away offered the best estimate (out of 3) and they were available to do the work the day after they gave me the estimate. They were punctual, professional and neat. I highly recommend them and will hire them again.

It went very well. They honesty was great.

I called Rain Away and set up a meeting which happened the next day. Kyle came out and was on time and very professional. We walked the property and he wrote up a bid and we talked about the different color choices. About a month later when we were ready for the work I gave him a call and with in a days notice he had started and completed work before I arrived home from vacation.

They were great-but what they don't tell you is they don't take credit cards!!!! After the work was done...

I called for an estimate within the week we scheduled a time for them to stop by the house. They faxed me an estimate the next day. After reviewing 2 other estimates I went with this company. They had the gutter shape I wanted in stock. They scheduled about a week out. They came installed the gutter called me with questions when they had them regarding the final location of the downspouts. The gutters look pretty good and they have been keeping what little rain we have had from washing down the exterior of the house.
