Description of Work: Performed reconstructive surgery on my right foot. Dr. Saxena was informative and positive every step of the way. His staff was excellent.

Description of Work: Dr. Hartford replaced both my hips. He was great to work with. He was informative and supportive, especially on the first hip when I did not know what to expect.

 + -1 moreDr. Jain is very professional, approachable and friendly. He genuinely cares about your health, and talks with you in a straightforward manner, which I appreciate. His office staff is typical, and his nurses are nice. The wait between seeing the nurse and seeing the doctor is the shortest I've experienced, which I also really appreciate.
Description of Work: This was a followup and appointment for an ongoing health issue.

 + 0 moreDr. Todd Kaye is very friendly and speaks to you as if you are in intelligent person, but he his is also very clear if there is an issue that he needs to bring up with you. He explains things very plainly, and gets to the point. His staff is efficient, and the wait to see him is usually short. Very nice facilities, with all needed equipment, and very clean. Would definitely recommend.

 + -1 moreThe diagnosis was spot on and my daughter's knees are much happier as a result. I was very pleased with the overall experience.
Description of Work: Our daughter is a swimmer and water polo player. In middle school she was diagnosed did a few sessions of physical therapy. Helped somewhat but she had also stopped doing breaststroke which brought on the symptoms of knee pain. Strengthening exercises of her quads did not make sense because she had somewhat over developed quads. But the pain subsided because she stopped doing breaststroke. In high school she began playing water polo. Treading water is paramount when playing this sport, however this motion aggaravatedher knees. We went to see Dr. Diefendorf's and his diagnosis was almost opposite of the original diagnosis. Dr. Dirk gave her stretches to do in contrast to exercises to strengthen her quads. This made much more sense. Now when ever she does something to aggravate her knees all she does is stretch her quads. Problem solved. Spot on diagnosis is the #1 thing I am looking for in a physician. Although it took me a week or so to get in and I had to wait a bit I was OK with this for an accurate diagnosis.

 + -1 moreDr. Su was amazing. He did not have me write out a lot of paperwork. Instead, he spent 30 minutes with me face to face, taking my medical history. How many doctors do that these days? He listened to my concerns, and immediately set me up for an appointment for an MRI (I have spinal issues) and an appointment to see a Physiatrist. He is available via e-mail at any time, and he or his staff always write me back within 1-2 days. My test results were posted online quickly, and were explained clearly. I could not ask for a better doctor, the first of many I have encountered through the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Description of Work: Having just moved to California, I set up an appointment with Dr. Su, to meet him and engage him as my main physician. I wanted to ask for referrals for a few health problems, and get a basic blood work-up/physical.

 + -1 moreThe doctor sent me to physical therapy for a couple of months and when this did not work well enough I had surgery. The surgery went well and I am almost fully recovered. I really like Dr. Diefendorf, he is very nice and explains thing very well. The only problem I have with the office is how long you have to wait. I have been there several times and always have to wait between 1/2 hour to an hour. His staff is very good and I would recommend his office to anyone in need of an orthopedist.
Description of Work: I had shoulder problems and it turned out I had a frozen shoulder. He was very professional and explained the problem well.

 + -1 moreHe is extremely knowledgeable on his subject, uses the latest technology, and is very specific and precise about his views and recommendations. His demeanor is calm and reassuring; for example, he always sits down next to me during an office visit instead of standing in front of me and speaking down (in more than one way, as most physicians seem to do without being aware of it). Several times I was concerned about something, but he convinced me the best course of action was watchful waiting. He certainly is not looking to do marginally useful procedures. Since I'm still alive and feel great now, I have to assume he's doing his job very well. He doesn't show a whole lot of warmth and sympathy, rather he is quite analytical and factual. Personally, I prefer it that way, and from other things he's said, I know he does feel a lot for everybody in his life.
Description of Work: Dr. Cohen has cared for my heart for several years. When I had a heart attack a year ago, he was there to see me after the emergency staff had done their job. When I thought I had another heart attack a few months later, he was there again to tell me it was just gastric reflux.

 + -1 moreDr. Karen White is a wonderful OBGYN. She provided care for me during both of my pregnancies and I couldn't have been happier with her services. She is great at communicating, answered my questions fully and respectfully, I never felt rushed, and most importantly I felt like she truly cared. I recommend her to anyone I know who is looking for an OBGYN and will continue to use her for future pregnancies and OBGYN needs.

 + -1 moreHe is a teacher for other heart surgeons. He has written a book and has his own website. If anyone is in need of a specialist, he is the one to choose. He is recommended by Doctors for someone who might have a problem. He is very personable and explained everything to me. For all he has done, he is not pretentious at all. I felt very comfortable with him. He was very punctual and on time. His secretary is very nice as well.

 + -1 moreThey day of the appointment they called me and cancelled saying that the doctor had an emergency surgery and they couldn’t offer another apt for another 2-3 months. I was definitely displeased with that. They did offered me an alternative of an appointment with a nurse practitioners within the practice. I feel confident in the service they provided for me.
Description of Work: I scheduled the appointments 2 months in advance after reading great reviews about her on Angie's List.

You can call him after hours if somethings comes up. He is probably the best doctor I have ever seen. My whole family sees him.

 + -1 moreI was referred to him by my last endocrinologist, who has retired. I really liked him. He is very up-to-date on new treatments and stuffs. I have just started seeing him. I have seen him a couple of times now. He is really good. He follows through. He answers question. He is very thorough. You do not have to wait a lot. He is usually on time, which I really like.
