Very professional and left the yard cleaner than it started. I will definitely be using them in the future for trim trimming and other landscaping that I have planned. They also had some of the best prices compared to a few other quotes I received.

It could not have gone better. Conrad is a good communicator and his team is very professional, skilled, and conscientious. They would routinely do extra things as they came up. The site was always left clean and safe. The final result exceeded my expectations. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends.

Conrad was fabulous. His estimate was the lowest of five, gave me a written proposal and then deducted another 10% for being an Angie's List member. He and 3 of his workers showed up on time and spent the next nine hours completing the work, checking every so often to see if the work was what/how I wanted it done. Then came the surprise: 4 more of his workers appeared at job's end and proceeded to speed clean the 4 side yards of my house, even though they only worked on two sides---(when was the last (ANY) time you had a worker leave the job site cleaner than when he appeared and clean other areas in addition to the work site??!!) I would absolutely do business with Conrad again......

He had to delay by a week, but was good about communicating that and asking my permission. There were some quality issues but he came right out and fixed all those to my satisfaction. I definitely recommend because he took care of any issues. Also he is very easy to communicate with.

They never followed up on my phone call asking for help

Conrad and his crew were outstanding in every way! At a very fair price, they drastically improved the appearance of our yard. I had a lot of questions and a lot of requests as the job was happening, and Conrad and his crew were so patient about answering my questions and changing things around when I changed my mind. I've had a lot of bad experiences with gardeners and landscapers in the past, so working with Conrad was a breath of fresh air! Conrad and his crew are very nice, very hardworking people, and we will definitely be hiring them again in the future.

These guys are good. Crew didn't waste any time when they arrived. Removed the branches quickly and went to work on the trunk and roots. They had to remove a sprinkler line to get the trunk out, but they repaired it when they were done. Clean up was good, you couldn't tell they were there. The guys were polite and professional. The whole process was easy from start to finish. Got a quote right away from a photo off my phone. I was concerned about their liability and Workman's Comp insurance since I know this is very physical work. Conrad sent over insurance certs right away and we scheduled the job. They're also very accommodating on the schedule. I would recommend them and would use them again.

Conrad's team actually didn't do the work, but the ONLY reason that we didn't go with Conrad was because the other contractor we were deciding between had a personal relationship with my husband, so we ended up going with them. However, I worked with over 5 different contractors to get quotes for the same project and Conrad gave us timely, realistic and educational estimates all within the timeframes that he set. I'm telling you, after the 4th time I gave a contractor my plans only to never hear from them again, Conrad's approach was refreshing to say the least.

I found them on Angie’s List and they did a really good job. Their prices were good. I would use them again.

I can't say enough good things about Conrad, the owner, and his crew. Conrad went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. His crew worked so hard every day they were here and they always cleaned up afterwards, as much as they could. I had lots of questions throughout the job and Conrad or Abel (supervisor) never tired of answering my questions. When I wanted things changed up a little, they did it with a smile and no hassles. Conrad asked for a small deposit up front, half way through the job he asked if he could get 40% of the balance and didn't expect the final payment until they job was completely finished and we were happy. A couple of the crew helped move some items to the curb for me just out of kindness and without me asking. They are just nice people who work very hard. Conrad is very busy. I viewed this as a plus and a testimony to his work. I would call him to come view your job as soon as you know you want to have work done. I would recommend DelMar Landscaping to anyone and I would use them again and probably will.

In their reviews on the list, they use the unprofessional and completely irritating "You don't want to hire a group that calls you right back bc it means they are desperate for your work." That is the stupidest, laziest, disorganized answer I have ever heard of. Find a kid, a neighbor a spouse--or hey--a staff member to call and say you are overbooked. So useless -- and more than one landscaping company in So. CA did this. SO LAME people!

Conrad's crew showed up on time. They were professional and when they finished it looked great!

Raphael provided an estimate for the cactus removal in a prompt manner. After finalizing the scheduling of the service, the tree service crew was on time and expertly removed the cactus including most of the stump that had broken the support for the separating wall. The remanent of the stump could not be removed as it was under the fence and would need to removed at the time of the fence removal and construction of the replacement.

Quick response to my inquiry. Good communications throughout the project. Cost was competitive with other landscapers. Went with Del Mar because of good reviews. Job was done on schedule and to my satisfaction. Day after the completion one of the sprinkler valves failed. The provider quickly replaced the defective valve. Very impressed with the level of service. Will gladly hire them again.

They did a very good job with that. They did a good job with weeding. I wanted them do more but the estimates were too high so we are trying to do it some other way. It was way out of range and I couldn’t negotiate anything down and I had to take things out to get the price down. They were professional. They came when they said and did what they said. I had a problem with the cost and I don’t know if it is high for these things or not. That may be in line with every other cost and I don’t know but we couldn’t afford it at that time.

I absolutely loved working with Conrad and Del Mar Landscaping. We had a dingy, dark front yard with a dead lawn and very much wanted to replace it with a low-water alternative. I did not know much about landscaping or plants so I spoke to several providers to see who might best help us through the process. Some providers clearly wanted to promise me the moon (at a very high cost), and others seemed uninterested in our modest budget and many questions. When Conrad came out I was very impressed with his no-nonsense attitude and ability to answer my concerns regarding what our yard would support with the amount of light it received. He listened to what we wanted to do and was quick to send a very reasonable estimate. Because he was in high demand it took a while to schedule him, which was fine with us as we were not in a rush. As we waited for our scheduled work week we asked him to send a written design. He does not normally do that, but he was willing to oblige and sent over a list of plants we might enjoy as well as a preliminary layout. It really helped jump-start the conversation and helped my husband and me visualize how the yard might look. I sent a number of emails to Conrad with questions and he always responded to them thoughtfully and completely. (Not always quickly, as he was very busy, but as I said we had some time to work with and the responses were always in enough time.) When work began, on the first day Conrad did not come himself but sent his 3-man crew for demo. Crew leader Abel was very gracious and they took out two overgrown schefflera trees and did complete cleanup of all branches. I had to leave for work, but was very comfortable leaving my home key with them so they could wash up. On the second day they removed all the old dirt and roots and put down new dirt. And on the third day, Conrad joined the crew and they planted everything and put down pavers and decomposed granite. I raced home from work at lunchtime and Conrad worked with me to place the pavers and the plants before planting. We both were just winging it from his basic design but when I arrived home that evening everything was done and the area was clean and tidy. It all happened very quickly and my husband and I are very happy. The only downside became an upside: as the crew cut down the tree, a falling branch broke the head off a lamppost in the yard. I asked if Conrad would allow me to take a replacement cost off the final bill, and he agreed readily. Would I work with Conrad again? Yes! Would I recommend him to you? Yes!

Their work was really good. They did a great job. Their schedule was understandably tight and they have got a lot of work to do for other people because they are just so good. It was just a matter of trying to get them over but once you get them to come over, they are really quick and very efficient. They got the work done very quickly and they have got good attitudes. I was pleased with them. They also cleaned up everything. I had a couple of minor issues with them but there was nothing particular. So, it was pretty good overall.

Conrad came personally to the property and provided a competitive quote. He was a bit difficult to get ahold of for timing, formal quotes, changes,ect. However his pricing and suggestions were good and the Angie's list reviews helped us get over being uncomfortable with the lack of response/formality. They could likely benefit from an assistant that keeps communication current and timely prior to job award. That said I'm glad we muddled through this phase because the work quality and value ended up being very good. Once contract was squared away and actual work began Conrad/crew were great. They came on time, worked like maniacs, did not cut corners, and cleaned up well afterwards. They removed the stumps by hand. Conrad stuck to the reasonable quote, and the quality of the work was solid. They really did a great job transforming our backyard, and everything is still doing well a few months later. They showed strong attention to detail on the stone work. We're really happy with Conrad/Del Mar Landscape and would look to them first if we needed similar landscaping /tree removal services in the future. We would recommend them to others.

Great service and very, very good work. I will definitely use Del Mar Landscaping again. Conrad and his crew were great. They were on time, on budget and very professional. They tore out the old front lawn and installed a new one, including better sprinklers. They rebuilt the front walkway and added a concrete extension to the side of my driveway so I could park more comfortably. I could not be more pleased with the result. The front of my home looks great, a huge improvement. The crew was very well supervised and Conrad checked their work. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire process, letting me know what they would be working on and when it would be complete. I received multiple bids and Del Mar was right in the middle, worth every penny. For the concrete work, they gave me a 20% discount. I had obtained other quotes for the concrete, one was almost double Del Mar. One of the best contractors I've worked with so far. I will definitely be using Del Mar again.

We found Del Mar Landscape through Angie's List. At the risk of sounding like an advertisement for this company, I wish to extend kudos and appreciation to the owner, Conrad Romero, and his crew. They are competent, professional, and demonstrate integrity in all aspects of the job. As many of us realize, integrity is lacking in so many business transactions today. My wife and I look forward to a long association with Del Mar Landscape. Their outstanding work on the project made us realize what good landscaping should be instead of "mow, blow, and go", so that we contracted their services for our regular lawn and garden maintenance.

I've had problems with them but they always make it right after. They killed some of my plants because they send in crews that don't know my plants and stuff, and I don't always get the same crew which is irritating. But he always gives me credit so I can order another plant to put in. He's done that several times to make it up to me. The guy himself is very nice.

Del Mar Landscaping was fantastic. The yard was cleaned out, tilled and ficus trees were removed in one day. Next few days consisted of removal of the old fence and installation of the sprinkler system. New sod was being installed by the weekend. This work would have taken me a month to do on my own. It's not been a month and I am still in awe. I love our lush green yard. I was so happy with the service that we have actually taken on Del Mar's weekly landscaping service. Thanks Conrad!

I called and left a message for Conrad last week right before the 4th of July holiday. I heard back from him yesterday and we set up an appointment for 1pm today. I rush home from an earlier appointment to meet with him and I get a call at 1:15pm saying he was going to be late and would not be able to make it until at least 2pm. Well I, like everyone else, has to work for a living and only set aside enough time to meet with him. I was not able to re-arrange my schedule because he was going to be really late and didn't have the courtesy to let me know ahead of time. His excuse for being late was he had allot of things going on. Are you kidding me? We all have lots of things going on in our lives. If this is how he is going to be for an initial visit to try to get work then I couldn't even imagine how he would be continuing forward. The first impression is the lasting one and this was terrible. He missed out on a HUGE job and clearly has no respect for other peoples time and money. There are plenty of other people who want my business and will show up early let alone on time.

Conrad and his employees are first class, they were courteous and professional in every aspect of the job. Conrad, the owner came out for the initial estimate and was extremely professional and had great ideas on what he thought should be done, but at the same time took the time to listen to my ideas. In the end it was a combination of both our ideas and I couldn't be happier. His employees were on time and worked extremely hard and on top of that were just nice people. Del Mar Landscaping is simply one of the best companies I have ever had work on my property, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to have their landscaping, sprinkler systems and lighting worked on.
