Signature Painting

Initial communication was very smooth. I asked how much paint was needed for the area, and the person I talked to gave me an estimated number of gallons (I had that many gallons already) and told me that I could always buy more if it turned out that more was needed during the process. Ordered 2 painters for a full day, which was stated as 8am-4:30pm or 8:30am-5pm, depending on when the crew happened to arrive in the morning. The guys showed up late (8:45am) but were otherwise pleasant. Before I left for the day to go to work, twice I mentioned to the crew's leader that if they needed anything (more paint, etc.) to call me, as I could be back home in under 30 minutes with whatever they needed since I work close by and also there's a Lowes nearby. The guy confirmed he'd call me, and he wrote down my phone number, and I also left him my cell phone number taped to the door of the condo. At about 3:45pm, I haven't gotten any calls, so I'm happy that all is going well, but I decide to go home just to check up on the crew. I arrive at 3:55pm and nobody is at the unit and all painting tools are not there, which sort of freaks me out. One of the rooms is half painted to boot, which is absurd since the crew is paid for until 5:15pm since they arrived late. I head downstairs to the condo parking garage and find the guys in their van about to drive off. I ask them why they are leaving, and they say that they ran out of paint and also are leaving early because they "work fast". There's no response to my question about why they didn't call me to bring more paint, and they tell me to call their boss if I have any issues. I call the boss, who talks with them, and they come back upstairs to the condo. I do a quick review of their work, and they have done a terrible job painting (several inch-wide strips are randomly not painted at all, and paint is running/dripping/pooling all over the place), but I recognize that such is life when hiring crews like this. They wait while I get more paint from Lowes, and then they finally leave after painting the last room. At this point I just want them out of the place, as they are clearly p***** at not being able to sneak away early without me knowing. All in all it was a disappointing experience. Initially I was very hopeful due to how excellent the communication was, but at the end of the day, they left early and didn't do what they were supposed to do (i.e. call if more paint was needed), and the job was of poor quality.

It was okay. I wasn't going to give them an A. It was exterior painting. I provided the paint. I would tell other that they definitely need to do a consultation before they come out. I felt like it was a waste of time when they got here I got the wrong color. Then I just said to go ahead and do it. They didn't sand. They didn't go the extra mile. They left an hour early and they got here an hour late.

They did a good job on what they could complete, however, they dropped paint in at least 4 areas of my carpet that I found. I had carpet cleaners the next day and one spot did not come up. It's located close to the baseboard and where furniture will probably go, but I don't want to pay anyone that is that careless to do the job. I will say I was 30 minutes late to meet them. They gave me an arrival time of 8-8:30 and of course I got stuck in traffic and they were there right at 8. However, I don't think they got a lot completed. My boyfriend ended up completing the second coat in the guest room, 2 coats in the other guest room, and the bathroom in 1 day....and it was just him...not 2 professional painters.

I had two jobs that I needed done. The first and most important was to finish a job in the hallway that had been prepped but never finished. Cracks had been mended, but they still needed to be sanded and textured. The second job was outside, repainting some weathered pergola that needed a lot of prep. I didn't believe they would be able to get both jobs done, but I was hopeful there would be some time after the hallway was done to at least prep the pergola job. The painters arrived on time -- even early -- and got right to work. They finished the hallway job by noon and got to work on the pergola in the afternoon. They weren't able to finish the pergola, but that wasn't a surprise. That job could have taken the entire day all by itself. I thought they made a valiant effort to get as much done in the day as possible. I ended up tipping both painters. My only complaints might be that neither spoke particularly good English and they didn't have much in the way of basic supplies (like stucco texture) with them. But the bottom line is they worked hard, got a lot done even though they were working at a discount rate, and I would use them again. In fact, I will, to finish the pergola job.

One of the painters was much better than the other but they were not very careful and didn't do what I asked. When I was watching, they took the new light switch cover off. We discussed removal of my new registers. After they left, I decided the color I chose for one bathroom wasn't right so I repainted. That is when I discovered that the new outlet cover was painted in place! So was my new register. This was the room done by the better painter, so other than repainting and cleaning the register and outlet cover of paint, it turned out fine. The other bathroom was painted by the other painter - the lines weren't sharp, he overpainted all over the tub enclosure and the backsplash at the sink, The cutting at the ceiling and corners wasn't very good. I have been cleaning up overpainted areas and repainting areas of the corners and ceiling. In addition to that, I asked them to use liquid sandpaper on the walls to be sure the new paint adhered properly. They may used it in one bathroom but not in the other. I have since learned that the new paints don't need this product to adhere, but the painter never discussed using it or not. In the end, it didn't matter if they used it or not but the real problem is they weren't careful closing the container and then placed it on my carpet where it was knocked over at some point. I came out to the area they were working to discover the tipped over container that was leaking solvent into my carpet! I am disappointed in the whole experience. It would have taken me a lot of time to paint myself, but I wouldn't have had all the issues and wouldn't still be cleaning up areas that were overpainted.

The two painters, Ukrainians, where both very talented and helpful. They were masters with a paint brush. They arrived on time, and did a very good job. I had a separate drywall man patch the walls prior to the painters arriving that day. The painters sanded the patching, and did a good job of prepping the areas to be painted. They finished the work that day, and we are very pleased with the final product. The Painters did a excellent job of clean up. I would use this company and these painters again.

This is the 3rd we have used Signature Painting. We are extremely happy with their work. We will use them again. Thanks Alex

It went very well with the exception of one of the blinds were re-hung improperly. I didn't notice until after they left. I have vertical blinds and one is dragging on the carpet. I did not call them back to correct the problem. For the time they were here I could have had a little more painting done but I did not know how long it was going to take to do the original requested service. I could have perhaps had my hall painted but I did not know. All of the time allotted for the deal was not used - because I didn't know. I am pleased with painting

The job took two days and was involved in many rooms and some outside walls that were re-patched after a repipe. Igor was very responsive and flexible to my schedule. The guys who did the painting were professional, neat, worked at a good pace and did a good job painting the walls. Overall very satisfied.

Signature painting did a great job painting my walls and ceilings. They had prepped the walls, filled nail holes. They also added an extra guy so what I thought was going to take two days, only took one day. Good service and I would use again.

I was very impressed with the overall quality and professionalism of Igor's team of painters. The crew was very respectful, punctual and meticulous in completing the work as well as in cleaning up after the work was completed. I have done room additions and extensive remodeling to my home in the last six months and I have engaged with multiple service providers including various painting contractors. So far, my best experience in painting has been with Igor's team. I would highly recommend Signature Painting for your painting requirements.

They did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Igor and his crew. Very professional and remained very flexible in working with us. They also did an excellent job with our crown moulding and arches. I would recommend them for just that work as well.

Russ, the lead painter was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. They were on time, spent 10 minutes consulting on the job and over the course of 2 days of work delivered an immaculate finished product. I'd like to use them again for more work in my home.

The owner (Igor) came out and estimated the work. I was very concerned that the California air quality laws would prevent obtaining a smooth and glossy finish. However, Igor believed that it would not be a problem to achieve the results we wanted. It turned out to be a three day job, with the first day spent taping and protecting the floor and walls of both the kitchen and garage. The work was primarily done by Russ, with a helper the first and last day. The doors were removed and sprayed horizontally, and the cabinets themselves were sprayed inside and out. New cabinet hardware was installed. The team cleaned up well after completion, leaving both the kitchen and garage as before. The cabinets are now smooth, glossy and attractive, and both my wife and I feel that the job couldn't have been done any better! I highly recommend this painting company.

I bought the "big deal" for $499 for 2 painters for a day. I just needed the master bedroom painted, pre-treated, and I wanted two coats. They came on time, prepped everything, including covering or moving furniture. They were done in 5 hours, but my drywall wasn't finished, and couldn't be fixed that day so they returned (at no additional cost) two days later to complete the job. The purchase was for 2 painters for 8 hours, so I guess they saved the time and used it to finish the job later. I am very impressed by the quality of work, and the quality of the workers. They were very professional, friendly and quiet during the entire job. I hardly knew they were here. I am very picky and never recommend people unless they did fantastic work, and I completely recommend these guys and will use them again!

Arrived on time, completed the work with little or no breaks. I was satisfied with 97% of the work. The 3% consisted of an area that may need to have the plaster replaced--extra layers were placed on the area at my request, but still not as nice as the other 97%.

It went very well. They were very polite. They were not messy, they didn't smoke on my property.

They showed up on time and did a great job. They painted my kitchen and adjoining family room. It took two coats but was all done for the same quote I was originally give.

Two men did the job within the estimated time. Their set up, site protection workmanship and clean up were very professional. We were very satisfied with their work.

The owner of Signature Painting, Igor, is a stand-up guy! He was very fast in scheduling the work to be done for the deal I purchased. A person on his crew ducked out early on the job & Igor came to complete the work on his own. I was up against a deadline to move a tenant into my rental and Igor accommodated my schedule by coming out immediately on a Saturday. Thank you Signature Painting & Igor.

When I purchased this deal I read the description and saw that the fine print said all 1 color of paint and rooms 12x12. I did not see anywhere that it did not include ceilings. When I spoke with Igor he said he would have 2 painters and it would take 1 day. They called and asked to come 1 day later than scheduled, which I was OK with. But,, today the painter arrived - only 1 - and after reviewing the work with him, I received a call from his boss, Igor, saying that the deal did not include ceilings. Even though my 3 rooms included (1) 12x12 room with a 6 ft slider on 1 wall and a 9 ft closet on the other ( so there would be little painting on 2 of the 4 walls, (2) a 14 x 20 room which only needed one of the 12 ft long walls painted and the ceiling, (3) a hall bath 5x8 in which there was no vanity, mirror, towel bars, etc.and the floors and toilet were already covered with protective paper and taped in place, Igor would not budge. I should also mention that I had moved all of the furniture removed light switch plates and prepared the rooms so there was nothing for them to do but cover the floor and paint. I sent the painter on his way and will be requesting a refund. This was my first time using an Angie's List service and I am very unhappy.

It was excellent! They did a wonderful job. They were on time and really professional.

I noticed that Signature Painting had a coupon to paint a kitchen, so I decided to go with them, and I was not disappointed. They did an incredible job! I live in an older mobile home and the kitchen was in desperate need of a makeover. Now, it looks like a brand new kitchen. It's absolutely beautiful!! They painted the ceiling, the walls, and all the cabinets. They installed all new hardware on the cabinets, and they even replaced three cabinet doors that were beyond repair. They were prompt, courteous, and meticulous with their painting. I will definitely call them again!

Initial 9 am appointment to do the work was mistakenly missed. However, they jumped on it and had someone out by 1 pm and worked until evening after dark. Paint coverage was missed as the room was dark and the painter could not detect that the coverage was not complete. We called them and they promptly scheduled to come back and complete the work to our total satisfaction. Very pleased with responsiveness and service.
