Install My Lights - The Recessed Lighting Company

Great! Love this company! This is the second time I've used them and although they couldn't do everything I'd planned, what they did was done correctly and cleanly. The guys they send to do the job are all very nice and seem trustworthy. So much that I felt comfortable leaving them in my house alone for short periods of time. This time they installed cable outlet boxes in all the rooms. I had cable wires coming out of the ceiling, side walls, and on the side of my front door leading all the way into my living room. The finished products looks great! They were supposed to change out some recessed lighting in my living room, but found the existing cans too short. The price to fix the cans was not in the range I was looking to spend at this time. Would definitely call these guys back for another job though. I gave them a "B" for pricing only because I'm cheap. Their pricing is very competitive with other companies even though I don't like their $250 minimum policy.

Hector, Juan and Cameron were great--punctual, polite and professional. They asked before installing any lights or switches to make sure I was happy with the position, and explained everything in detail. They put up plastic sheeting throughout the entire downstairs, and upstairs where needed, which kept the house amazingly clean, given the drywall dust. That said, the holes and repair required for new installation were kept to a minimum. Install My Lights was recommended by a neighbor, and I've since recommended them to others. Great job, very happy with the company, the crew and the work!

I went with this place because of reviews, and I'm glad I did. I called Friday and by Tuesday, I have beautiful lighting installed in my den and living room. Andrew came out for an estimate for the den, and after he left, we thought since they were reasonably priced, we should just do our living room as well. When we called their office, they said they could do both rooms same day, provided same ceiling type, etc. Mark and Thomas came out, moved furniture, covered every inch in plastic, and went to work. Mark was super helpful with the number of lights our living room would need to look well lit, spacing them out, and which to have on the same circuit/ switch. We went with his recommendation, and it looks great. They left our place spotless, and the lights/ switches are super nice. My husband considered going DIY route, but this was totally worth it. No mess, minimal disruption, and lights in few hours. Love. Thanks guys! As a bonus, their office staff is super nice when you call. Book them today, you won't regret it. ?

I messaged Install My Lights on Angie's list to receive a quote. They responded quickly and we scheduled the estimate 8/20. Tonny came out and was very professional and gave me ideas of where to place the lights and that we may want dimmers. Which we ended up with 3 (love them). We received 2 other quotes and decided to go with this company because of the professionalism & honesty. Tonny suggested getting our own lights so that it would be more cost effective for us. I contacted them and scheduled the work. I left messages on a few different occasions to ask questions regarding pendant lighting vs. an island chandelier and Tonny responded quickly each time. They arrived on time, introduced themselves, took off their shoes and started covering furniture and putting plastic everywhere! The job took a full day and they cleaned up everything and replaced furniture where it needed to go and when I returned from my appointment my house was "bright" and beautiful with lights! I did notice a little problem with the texture on the ceiling the next day when it started to dry. I contacted them and Hector came out "the same day" and agreed that the texture would have to be "knocked down" again. I received a call that Hector would be out on Saturday and he and Juan fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. I love that they responded so quickly and were so professional about it. Hector, Juan, Fernando and Andrew were very professional, courteous, and friendly and we couldn't ask for a better experience. I highly recommend this company!

They were very fast with the estimate, did not waste my time. The installers were 2 nice guys that came and installed the lights within a few hours.

The person who performed the estimate was very professional (punctual, thorough, friendly). He provided a quote immediately and was clear they do not negotiate. After much thought we decided their good reviews warranted a premium price and subsequently scheduled the install on the first available date, a month out. As expected, I received a reminder call a few days before the appointment. Unfortunately the date they scheduled was a Tuesday, the only day in the week when I am never available, and hence would never schedule anything on that day. When I called them back to discuss the date, they insisted I made a mistake and that the next appointment is over a month away. The lady on the phone reminded me to "take it or leave it." I decided to "leave it" because I feel the response was very arrogant, and my other remodel schedule cannot be held up for a month. If I were the owner and found my people are telling potential customers to "take it or leave it," without any offer to "let me see what I can do," I would be very disappointed.

They are knowledgeable and personable people. I was comfortable having them in my home. They completed the work as we agreed. I love the way it looks! And everything works perfectly! I had them come back to correct a couple of light switches and they were happy to do it. I have more work for them later this year. I won't be calling anyone else.

Everyone was great. They removed the flourescent lighting from the kitchen and two baths, made the ceiling flat in the kitchen, installed led recessed in the whole house. They arrived on time, were very considerate and cleaned up after themselves. We had a miscommunication regarding the type of dimmers to be installed plus a GFCI issue noticed the next morning. They were out to fix everything and install additional dimmers I requested the next day.

Andrew and Team (Victor, Jose and Levi) did an excellent. Showed up on time and completed in one day as promised. I replace fluorescent lighting in 2 bathrooms and kitchen where they cut and installed wood frame to beautify where old fluorescent lighting was. They took their time preparing and covering all furniture with plastic and left everything spotless. The team was very professional and courteous...well worth the investment! I will likely have them back to do more.

Had work done in March 2015 and wanted to continue improving my home. Brought them back to install recessed LED lighting in my living room and family room. Hector and Juan did an excellent job. Showed up on time and completed in 1/2 day. The rooms have a much nicer look and feel to them. They were diligent with their preparation, covering all furniture with plastic and left everything spotless. The team was very professional and courteous...I look forward to bringing them back in the future to install lighting upstairs as well?

Andrew from Install My Lights came in, greeted us with a warm smile, and quickly, but thoroughly provided us with an estimate. He gave us multiple options and was very attentive and responsive in answering our questions, both in person and in e-mails. It took a good part of the day to get all of the lights installed. Andrew and his crew were extremely professional, making sure to cover up the workspace and did an equally amazing job cleaning up any remnants. They patched up any holes made, and all that was left to do when they were finished with the installation was to paint over areas in which fixtures were removed. I would definitely hire them again for other lighting installation.

The installers, Hector and Jose, were prompt, professional and did an excellent job. I was concerned about having to patch the ceiling or walls, since we had just completed painting. They were able to install 4 recessed lights and a chandelier with absolutely NO holes or patching left behind! I was very impressed, since other electricians I contacted prior to hiring them said we would most likely need to cut holes. They were meticulous about protecting my wood floors. They used a padded blanket as well as a full plastic enclosure around the area to keep the dust and debris off of my floors and out of my kitchen. When they were done, they swept the floors clean and there was no sign that they had been there, other than my beautiful new lights! The entire job took about 4-5 hours, as estimated. I couldn't have been happier with the installation. I waited a week for the initial appointment. Once I was ready to schedule, they were booked about 4 weeks out. I scheduled my appointment for May 4th, but they had a cancellation and were able to bump me up to April 7th. Again, I was thrilled to have such prompt service. I would definitely recommend this company, and will work with them again in the future.

Hector and James arrived on time and immediately got to work. This was my third project with the company in just two months. Every project goes smoothly and that motivates me to make these improvements in my condo. They installed a second fan of the same model in my condo and Hector made sure each remote control would work properly for each fan. And my new recessed lights in the living room are perfect and exactly the size needed for the space. I am a single lady and have had experience with companies who overcharge or simply don't do a good job. With Install My Lights I know I am going to get great results at very reasonable prices. This was the second time I used Install My Lights company. Hector and Jose arrived on time and installed recessed light in my hallway. They prepped the place as they had done the first time and installed and textured the ceiling and it is bright, clean and beautiful! I look forward to my next project with them! Hector and Jose were the installers for our job, they showed up on time and were very professional. They laid padding on our wood flooring and covered everything with plastic. They recommend the locations for all lighting, we approved and they went to work. I think they were completely done in about 3 hours. They cleaned up everything and left the areas as clean as they started, I was actually expecting a lot of dust so this was a pleasant surprise. The new lighting is fantastic and looks great, the patching in the areas of the old fixtures also looks great. I am a bit of a perfectionist on how things are done and these guys exceeded my expectations. We will hire Install My Lights to add LED in our living room in the future. I would highly recommend Install My Lights.

They were punctual and very professional throughout the entire process. The entire crew (Andrew, Hector, Jose and Cameron) was very knowledgeable about their jobs, providing me and my husband with all the options available in terms of quality, appearance and cost. They answered all our questions since the beginning and confirm the service date and time a few days before. Great service and outstanding job all the way. We are definitely hiring their services again for other projects we have in mind for the house.

The experience was awesome from start to finish. Install My Lights quickly answered my call, listened to my requirements and schedued an appointment for an inspection and estimate. Andrew showed up right on time, and was very helpful in advising on the best placement and configuration for our lights and speakers. He quickly followed up with a detailed and accurate estimate. We felt the price was very fair for the work that was to be done and the bill at completion was exactly what Andrew had quoted on the estimate. Hector and Levi did the installation and they were exremely courteous and professional. They started by reviewing with me all of the details of the work to be done. They then protected with plastic and taped off every inch of the house that might somehow be impacted by their work. I was impressed by how thorough they were in the preparation. Along the way they stopped and consulted with me any time there was a task that could have options such as the height of the hanging lights and exact placement of the ceiling lights and speakers. They left nothing to chance or interpretation. Like Andrew their advice and expertise were much appreciated and very helpful. I was originally nervous about moving lights which would leave holes where the lights had been. Hector and Levi did a phenomenal job of repairing and prepping the areas for paint, matching the texture to the surrounding areas so well that you would never know there had been a hole in the ceiling. The process was so painless and the results so good that I am planning to have Install My Lights put ceiling lights in my family room in the future. I wish I could give these guys an A++. So refreshing to experience such professionalism and pride in work.

This company's motto is 'We are not satisfied until you are satisfied' and they hold very firmly to it. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. They are true professionals who take immense pride in the quality of the workmanship they provide. When we contacted the company for a quote, Andrew came out and went through the house with us and answered all the questions we had about what we wanted to do. We could totally tell that he knew,what he was talking about from his suggestions. The quote arrived very promptly. On the day of the installation, they arrived on time and started by putting down plastic everywhere. Out of all the companies we've hired, they are the cleanest crew we've every had. Other than one small area, we did not have to clean anything after they left. Once we'd lived with everything for a week, we noticed a slight noise from one of the lights in one of the bathrooms. They came out the next day to inspect and repair the issue. I am extremely happy with the end result and would definitely hire them again. I wish more companies had these high standards. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

Where do I begin? These guys are awesome. True professionals. They are so good at what they do. I had two other bids, both were higher and they wanted to cut holes all over the place and patching wasn't included. And the other electricians wanted to charge 3 times the price for the 3-way switch. Not with Install My Lights. Patching is included and they only needed to make one small hole in our drywall to run wiring. All through the process I was completely at ease. Andrew came out for the estimate and you could really tell he knew his stuff, plus he was very polite -- even took his shoes off! He brought sample lights and plugged them in so I could actually see the light output -- how great is that?! No other company did this. I got the estimate really fast. Only thing was we had to wait a few weeks for an available install date, but after having them out, I can see why they have such a wait. They put plastic down everywhere -- they are the cleanest crew I have ever had come to my house! I was amazed that I didn't have to clean up anything after they left. This has never happened and I've done many projects in the past. I am extremely happy with the end result and would definitely hire them again. I wish more companies had these high standards. It was a pleasure to do business with them.

There is nothing that describes this company and it employees except professional and experts at what they do. I called to schedule an estimate and their General Manager came out and gave me a estimate. The estimated price was fantastic. They installed recessed lights for my sister's and my mom's house several years back so I knew of their good reputation already. I scheduled an install appointment 2 weeks out and ordered my bathroom exhaust fans from Home Depot. (The exhaust fans I had to get on my own). Two installers showed up promptly on the day of the appointment. They covered everything and masked off the work areas with plastic. They installed 6 recessed lights in my downstairs family room and also installed 2 bathroom exhaust fans in my upstairs bathroom and one bathroom exhaust fan in my downstairs bathroom including drilling the vent through my stucco and running the exhaust tubes. What was the most impressive was they were able to install 6 lights and 1 exhaust fan on my lower level with no attic or crawl space and they did not have to cut out big areas of ceiling drywall. This is magic and not many companies can do this properly. I got estimates from two other electricians and they all said that they would have to cut the ceiling drywall and I would have to hire a drywall person to put my ceiling back and for my exhaust fan, I would have to get a handy man to install the exhaust tube and cut the stucco. Install my Lights, did all this and when they left, there was not a piece of dust anywhere and the price was very fair. I dont usually give reviews that often but I had to on this company. They did such a fantastic job that I would definitely use them again and I will refer them to all my friends and family. Thanks Install my Lights for everything.

The job went very well. They installed the lights and repaired any damage to the ceiling. All I have to do is have the ceiling repainted and that was noted in the job description. I would definitely use this company again

The installers arrived on time, were very professional and completed the work in 3 hours. I would use them again in a heart beat. Most professional vendor I have ever worked with. These are the pros we all hope for!

They arrived on time, installed the lights and left the house clean. There was no mess, they did exactly what they said they would and it was less then the quoted price. They installed a switch that I didn't like and they happily changed it for me. One of the only contractors that actually did what they said they would in a timely and clean manner. I am impressed and will have them back again. I read previous reviews about how great the company was and that's why I chose them. They do live up to their reputation for great work.Thanks!
