Service was very professional. Introduced himself, explained where he would start and what to expect. Once he was finished he asked if I had any questions and advised me to leave windows open and vacate the premises for two hours to allow the fumes to clear.

It was a pleasure doing business with this company. He was very helpful. I felt that they gave me terrific service. He was more helpful than I expected at such a reasonable price.

Noticed termite frass on my front porch. Called Surf City for an inspection. They found more signs of damage in the attic, scheduled a return visit to treat, and did so rapidly.

Owner arrived on time and was very pleasant and professional. I'm not sure what I expected but I am very neat and tidy and the spray left marks on my floor and my closet tracks that I had to polish up. When she left the first time, we seemed to get even more ants but she was very gracious and offered to come back and spray again. The second treatment was no more effective than the first treatment unfortunately but as I understand it she was using something not harmful to animals so may not have been full strength. I would recomend you plan to leave your house (with all your pets) for the day so you can get the more powerful spray.

This was a very pleasant experience with Surf City Pest Control. The Rep was friendly and knew what he was supposed to do. Very Professional. I'm pleased. I would recommend them for your pest control company.

This company is very friendly, professional and responsive. It was easy to schedule an appt., there wasn't a long scheduling period. They ended up being available a day prior to our scheduled date and called to ask if we would like a sooner date. They were an hour late, but again, they called beforehand to let us know. I liked them already at this point, because they made a conscious effort to keep us in the loop of what's going on. The man came and told us step-by-step the process and began the inspection, sealing of any holes, and setting up traps. He let us know what he thought of the situation (what type of rodent, how many, where etc.) and told us the next steps we would need to take. That night, a rodent was caught in the attic. I called the company and they told me to wait another day in case there is another. Afterwards, another appt. was set up and the man came promptly, removed the rodent and set up more traps. Since then, we haven't had a single rodent or pest. Although we ended up finding only 1 rat, it was well worth the price for the type of service received. I definitely recommend this company and will use them again in the future if we have rodent/pest problems.

The guy was super nice... & efficient. I mean, I didn't hear crickets at all the night after he sprayed. There were dead carcasses of all kinds of insects when we woke up the next morning. So... yeah. It works. :) He also suggested that every month we have the back yard (where the dogs are) sprayed which would be $35 per visit. I'm going to stick with this company for Pest Control because they offer some great deals through Angie's List, particularly for termite treatments. I also appreciate the fact that they are licensed, bonded, and insured as well as use green products.

The provider was early which was great. I was finishing up with a different inspection so they got right to work on the outside of the house. When it was time for him to come inside I left the home for a few hours. When I returned there was no smell or residue that I could see anywhere and no pest activity at all.. Prior to having this done, I was dealing with ants invading my home every few days. I would treat one area that they were coming into and within a few days they would find a new way in. I keep a spotless house but it only took them hours to find something like dog food which we started keeping in the fridge and only leaving out for a few hours at a time, then honey on the outside of the honey jar, even the trash can that I thought was pretty well sealed. Didn't stop them and it just wasn't a good way to live. If you had a late dinner, there was no leaving even one plate in the sink overnight for fear of the house being overrun. At one point when we left the house for a long weekend, I came back to the Nature Channel in my kitchen. The ants were carpeting the floor from one end to the other and the spiders that were outside, had come inside, and set up shop every couple feet along the ant path with piles of dead ant bodies under their webs. My kitchen had become a National Geographic episode. If my baby were older I could have used it as a teachable moment on the Circle of Life and watched Lion King with her afterward. It was just too much as it became an almost daily routine of vacuuming up the ants, sealing off the entry point, spraying the entry point and waiting until tomorrow to do it somewhere else all over again. I just bought this house last year, so we are still learning about the critters here. We have an outdoors balcony that has seen a lot of spider webs this year. I blow them off, or spray them off, but they come right back. It was not a big deal as I don't really mind most spiders until I found a black widow in one of the webs and since my wife and baby like to sit outside, that was the last straw for me. Since they have sprayed, the house has been completely pest free. I am so happy. The deck outside has been web free after I blew off the last of what was left and we can sit out there without worrying about spiders. I have seen no ants and long evenings of ant genocide are now a distant memory.

They came on time, and they charged me the amount they quoted me on the phone. I actually called two other companies who did not bother to show up. I joined Angie’s List, and these people came. They followed-up. They called a week after to make sure everything was fine, and all the bugs were gone. I was very pleased with their service. I would absolutely use their services in the future. .

With the tempretures rising and ants finding shade apprently in my house, I decided to call a pest control service to avoid the pantry attack I knew was coming. The representative from Surf City Pest Control came on time and was very nice. He explained the process, how it worked, why it worked, and the other options also available. He listened to what my concerns were and the problem areas such as me wanting ants to stay far far away from the pantry. He was very efficient and the whole process didn't take very long at all, maybe 1/2 hour if that. I liked the rosemary smell (it strong for those of you are sensitive). I had never had a pest control service come to my home but was very pleased I chose them. I will be calling back to see about having a quarterly service set up.

This was a very good experience. I had several other estimates for termite treatments, a couple were nearly three times the price (I purchased this treatment on an Angie's List deal). After an initial glitch in communication, the company was incredibly responsive and professional. Gina, the owner, took steps to assure that my project was done correctly and thoroughly. They used eco-friendly materials, were timely, and I would definitely call them again. In fact, I have already referred this company to other people. Great company - ask for Gina!

Working with Surf City was an excellent experience. I was impressed that when I originally purchased an "Angie's List Deal" - they called me the very next day to see if I wanted to set up an appointment or save it for a later date. I set up an appointment, they called to confirm the day before and Gina - came out on time and was incredibly thorough. She not only sprayed inside my house and throughout the entire yard, she took down the start of a wasp nest and a birds nest that was contributing to my pest problem. She was also very patient as a moved my cats to a secure location in the house so they were not affected by the spray. I was so impressed with Gina and her service that I signed up for quarterly service with Surf City.

From start to finish Surf City Pest Control has been superb. The inspector, Fernando Rios, arrived on a saturday (!!) to assess our termite problem (severe even with monthly service treatments from another company) and recommended tenting. He explained precisely why this was necessary, answering our questions and speaking to our concerns in detail with warmth, humor, and a wealth of knowledge. He gave us an exceptionally reasonable estimate and also included in that estimate several additional services (ant abatement and preventative treatment for subterranean termites; both services were performed in advance of the tenting by a competent, articulate, and thoughtful technician, Alan). We scheduled tenting within a week of Mr. Rios's inspection and it proceeded without a hitch with very minimal-to-none damage to plants and shrubs surrounding the house. Individuals in the front office who scheduled the tenting (primarily Gaby) were professional, responsive, and knowledgeable. We've dealt with several termite/pest control companies over the course of the last 15 years and have never encountered such consistently superb service. If you're tried of getting ripped off, disrespected, the hard-sell or the run-around when it comes to dealing with termites, you should definitely check out this company.

I bought a deal for an indoor and outdoor pest control visit and could not be happier with the results. Surf City Pest Control has become part of my home maintenance plan.

After following up with the tenants after a month, both tenants were happy and satistied with Surf City's service. Gina and her staff provided a number of conscientious follow-up calls to check-in on the property's pest situation. I will use them again for future services.

I called late this morning and the tech, Fernando, was here by 4pm. we had something soooo stinky dead in the walls that it couldn't wait. i read several companies reviews here on Angie's list and picked surf city. when Fernando arrived i took him to the area of the stench but he couldn't really see as the crawl space was very small. we have a complicated multi story 1920s home. he busted out his camera and said he saw an opossum or a raccoon!! so he went to get some more tools of the trade to attempt the extraction. i was worried he wouldn't be able to reach it after hearing a few heavy sighs. but he did get it! and... it was a rat!!! he said it was easily 7 pounds easily. can you imagine? a rat so large the exterminator thought it was a raccoon!!??! after successfully pulling the new york sewer rat from my southern california crawl space, he went around looking for points on entry. he found what looked like a tunnel to me, hidden by our deck. he unscrewed a couple boards and found it. sealed up the hole with mesh wire and foam. hoping it lasts a while. then he went around the house and did the same for any other possible entry points. i'm relived and i hope this lasts for a while. i'm going to have them come back for a more extensive cleaning, vacuuming, sanitization process of the whole house.

Great customer service, great overall treatment for our yard and great prices, We will definitely use Surf city again.

I called Surf City Pest Control based on previous Angie's List reviews on a Wednesday afternoon. I spoke with the owner about a growing ant problem I was having around the pool of my house and asked for treatment around the hardscape of the house. The cost to spray the exterior of the house was on par with other quotes we had seen. We made an appointment for her to come treat the house three days later on a Saturday morning. Once at the house, she toured the exterior of the house and also the crawl space of the house where she noted some potential water damage and also a growing number of spider webs. In addition to the exterior hardscape, we agreed to have her spray the crawlspace. All of the spraying was completed in about an hour with no disruption to my family. Bugs/ants are gone and we're happy with the service.

The technician was on time and very professional. An most importantly, no bugs! Great deal.

I called for an appointment and the owner came out the following morning. I liked her immediately because she was on time and called me in advance to give me a heads up that she was on her way. She did a full inspection including in my substructure, which is something the other company didn't do. She explained everything in detail and provided me with a good price and one(1) year warranty. I was able to schedule the work for the next day, and I also really liked the gentleman that performed the treatment. I asked him a lot of questions and he knew a lot about his field.

She was very nice, thorough, on time, and took her time inspecting the entire area.
