HONEST, RELIABLE, LOCAL, REASONABLE!!

Had an old, ugly, cracking plexiglas skylight on my back patio that leaked like a sieve and had damaged a cross beam. Contacted Nick to replace and he devised a plan that did not require replacing the beam, but instead shored it up and transferred the weight off the beam. He then reframed the opening and added 4 individual laminated skylights where the old plexiglass was. It looks spectacular, and most importantly, doesn’t leak anymore! I can finally enjoy the rain without worrying my patio roof is going to crash in. I’d recommend Nick in a heartbeat! Shows up when he says he will, works the job straight through until it’s finished, does quality work using quality materials - and all at an absolutely fair price.

I called JNL in a panic during the first torrential downpour of the season when leaks started coming into our garage and home in several different locations. The company responded in minutes, and came out that same day! Not only did they assess and give a quote free of charge at that time, but they were also able to start to work the very next day. They worked to make sure that the roof was ready to go before the next rain just a few days later. The company and workers are professional, responsive, and experts in their area. Not only did they repair the initial damage, but when they found additional areas that were problematic, fixed these as well under the initial quote. I received continuous texts throughout the job letting me know their status and what was going on.

Nick was very helpful and provided information that the other possible contractors did not. JNL was fair and did not try to gauge the price.

They completed the job fast and on time. However, it was quite expensive! I did not have time to shop around, so this was probably the competitive price.

JNL was efficient, on time for the initial appointment, explained exactly what my roof repair needs were to be. When the job was completed there was no indication of repair debris around my home. I do recommend them to anyone.

The complete roof replacement on the rental home and garage was done with constant communication and very good pictures. The bid was actually lowered when the roof on the home was opened up. Less dry rot was found when inspected and the tile trim was replaced with shingles as the leaves from a large tree caused a build up and would have caused the same problem in 5 to 7 years. The change to shingles was discussed and guaranteed so we saved money thanks to choosing a great company. They were very busy but worth the wait. (3 Months) Best decision we could have made.

He was on time... reliable and professional. H told me exactly what he was going to do and did it. He was timely; courteous and completed his work in records time. He even sent me photos of the work he did on the roof for my information,,, I would recommend this guy to everyone. Very honest and forthcoming with details and summary of issues and offered solutions. The job was quoted and completed for the price given... no surprises. I haven't had a leak at all and very very grateful !!! Wish all the work I've had done to my home was as easy and painless as this was. Thank Goodness for JNL Roofing.... Outstanding!!!!

They responded timely, I left messages with others. He did initial work to get a sense of the job and came out to spec the job with accuracy. His guy was here before I left for work at 6 am and had started work before I pulled out my driveway, which was great because it rained later that day! Doug gave us a great sense of confidence that we selected the right company from the start!

Work was completed quickly and thoroughly. The first heavy rain will be the ultimate test of their work.

My experience with JNL Roofing Contractors is a mixed bag. The workers are excellent, start to finish. I believe that I have a well constructed flat roof but not the one I engaged the contractor to build/repair. Unfortunately this is as much my fault as the contractor. Mine is a cautionary tale and only now realize that going forward with any work done on my home not done by myself I must TRUST more in my self than in a business. 1) I will ALWAYS make sure that the work I want done and what I am told can/will be done is clearly, specifically defined in the proposal not subject to interpretation. 2) NEVER depend on a conversation in person or by phone of what WILL "surely" be done by the contractor. 3) ALWAYS remember that I deserve the work performed that I have agreed to PAY for. 4) ANY deviation from the written proposal must be addressed immediately and reconciled before continuing with the work. 5) ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS be home to watch the work performed. This is the ONLY way to ensure you are getting what you paid for. Once the job is completed you have absolutely no idea how the finished project was built underneath the appealing surface. Difficult, yes, but huge in getting what you are paying for. 6) REMEMBER, ONLY YOU, NOT THE CONTRACTOR, decides what is best if/when a change needs to be made how the original proposal is executed. If you are not the CAPTAIN of how your proposal is executed you will find yourself between a rock and a hard spot to challenge the work afterwards. I failed and the contractor failed to provide me with what I believed I was paying for. The work done on my flat roof may very well last me the next 20 years or longer but that does not diminish the fact that I KNOW what I have is less than what I BELIEVED I was going to receive for the money I agreed to pay for. I brought all of the above concerns to JNL Roofing Contractors through a very frank phone call. To their credit they listened and engaged openly. That has gone a long way for me to be guardedly satisfied with final work. And the contractor seems to believe that my concerns written here are fair and may now become part of their business model going forward. If this experience of mine is not read or believed only to be sour grapes I wouldn't blame you. This is my experience. But we all know my experience is not unique. I am not a contractor, a doctor, a lawyer, a salesman etc.. And I am not expected to be. I need these professionals. But I must TRUST more in myself and prepare as best I can when I pay and engage others to do work I cannot do myself. Good fortune to everyone out there. And when you find anyone that provides you a service you TRUST, never, never let them go.
