Description of Work: A new tenant in my house broke the shower valve so the water wouldn't shut off. After turning off the main supply, we called Tony's to repair it, and they installed a new cartridge. Three days later, the tenant "tested" the valve and once again it broke, and the shower would not turn off. We called Tony's again. Instead of turning the water off at the main, the repair guy cut a hole through the wall to access it through the back. The 2nd repair person said the cartridge that was installed was not high quality, so therefore broke when the tenant "over cranked" the valve. Meanwhile, Tony (owner) called me to say they weren't going to fix the problem the 2nd time until he was assured I would pay for the initial "fix" ($288). Then they charged me another $400 to fix the same thing again... and then it cost me $310 to get a handyman in to patch, prime, and paint the big jagged hole they left in my wall.

Description of Work: They installed a pump on our water heater and a small heating unit on or sink, that was furthest from the water heater. We now have hot water instantly, no more wasted water.

Description of Work: When I made the appointment for the service, I was not ask any questions about my tankless water heater. When the plumber arrived however, he looked at my electric tankless and stated he was unable to provide the service I had purchased. Apparently my water heater does not have the required apparatus. The technician said he would have my money refunded. A couple of days later I received a call to confirm that they were mailing me my refund, which I received in a few days. My only suggestion to Tony's is to ask some pertinent questions about the water heater before you accept the fee and make an appointment.

Description of Work: It started as a snaking job, and then they found out that the city sewer pipe was broken(something I was suspecting and worrying about), and so we signed a contract to fix it. They are very professional people. They cleaned up at the end of each day. It took many days and a lot of involvement to get the job done, including involving the city, digging up the street and repaving it, digging deep down to 13 feet and refilling it, etc. Then they changed the pipe and lined the end that goes to my property. I am now worry free until I die... John is a very professional person and helpful in answering any questions I had about plumbing, including things inside my house. I really appreciate the kindness. When the snaking did not clear the blockage at first, they refunded my money. Same with the intended lining towards the street that did not happen due to the broken pipe. They are honest to me even when I know nothing about plumbing, while others might like to take the opportunity to cheat a little old lady. I would definitely recommend them to anyone since they not only do good work, but are also kind and considerate.

Description of Work: Tony's Plumbing was terrific! | |I had two items that needed repair, one of which was an emergency under-the-house water leak (in the crawlspace) and the other was a stopped drain for the water softener (and not an emergency). | |I called at 8AM, spoke to Karen. She was very understanding and very helpful. The result was Tony's Plumbing had a plumber at my door by 9AM...THE SAME DAY! Awesome! | |Our plumber was Anthony (apparently not the same Tony as the business name might imply). He was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. When he told me that he enjoyed this line of work because he treated it as art, I was impressed with his attitude and work ethic. | |He diagnosed the leak very promptly (a large pinhole leak in a 3/4" copper line) and suggested a simple replacement of the bad section of copper piping. He had that successfully fixed in about 30 minutes. | |Next, Anthony went after the drain problem. That was also solved in about 30 minutes, however, he needed to attack the problem from two different directions. Fixed, nonetheless! | |Anthony also did a great job of cleaning up after his work. | |In the end, no muss, no fuss, exceptional service, professionalism, and efficiency!
