Higgins Carpet Care

We replaced hallway carpeting about 20 months ago, and asked the sales company for a recommendation for a local cleaning service, as we had been unhappy with two previous efforts. Arranging an appointment with Higgins Carpet Care was easy, and they kept the early morning appointment, using a quick call to confirm that we were ready that morning. The technician spent about three hours in total. He worked especially on areas around doorways and the office area in front of the computer and one bedroom that showed more spots and wear. We had removed chairs, tables, lamps, and so on, but left beds and heavy furniture in place. The man was careful to clean all exposed carpet without leaving too much water that might have damaged the desk or remaining furniture. He asked that we allow four hours to dry, and wear socks until all areas were thoroughly dry. By the next morning we could find no remaining dampness. Now, two weeks later, the carpets still look great. No spots have come back and the doorways and hall entrance, where heavier wear might be expected to show, still look like new. This is the best result we've seen from a carpet cleaning service in the 25 years we've lived here.
