They were really helpful in helping us select our cabinets, counter tops and backsplash and the color combination for our kitchen. David was great! He was here and checked each phase of the work and made sure all work was done satisfactory. the workers were great in their preparation and cleaning up before leaving. Thank you again Horizon, we are very pleased with the work done!

You can feel comfortable hiring Horizon Construction and Remodeling for your next house project! I had to do lots of repair and maintenance on my Queen Anne Victorian home and Project Manager Mike and the folks at Horizon came through with flying colors. I replaced the roof, cleaned and re-insulated the attic, added new floors upstairs, upgraded some electrical, repaired plater ceilings and painted the exterior with a three color "Painted Lady" look for the house. All the sub-contractors were polite, fine craftsmen and always on time. Mike was great communicating with me at all times. This situation has not always been true for contractors I've interviewed to work on my house. Usually, they come to the house, say they will give me an estimate, and never call back. Horizon and their team did high quality work on a difficult older home.

Horizon Construction and Remodeling recently remodeled my kitchen and I highly recommend their work. They completed my project on time and on budget. Our project manager, Mike, was a positive force from beginning to end. Anytime I texted him he answered back right away, every time. He was always on top of things and very sensitive to any concerns I might have. The staff at Horizon was also great. They kept me informed every step along the way as to what was going to be done next. Each day after work was completed the workers left the area extremely clean. They never left a mess at any time which I appreciated. It was a remarkably stress free remodel and the results were exactly as I had envisioned. I will definitely use them again for any project in the future.

I chose Horizon to do a complete kitchen remodel, add an additional 100 square feet and create a 9’ pass through between the kitchen and family room. This entailed major construction – engineering, demo, footings, support beams, framing, insulation, electrical, plumbing, paint, floor tile, cabinets, countertops, and installing appliances. Mark Besnos, the owner, was the project manager and Enna and Genesis (back office) provided education and guidance throughout the entire project. The approximate timeline given was three months; it was finished in two months. Mark worked with me in building the kitchen in stages to ensure I was able to stay within my budget. Mark made suggestions along the way (which I appreciated) – I agreed with some and others I didn’t. For instance, during construction, he prompted me to think about raising the ceiling – I’m very thankful I agreed with his recommendation – it worked out well. There was never any pressure to do anything I didn’t want to do. Communication is always the key to success. I was always aware of the next steps. Whenever I had questions, Mark or Enna promptly answered. They even answered questions and concerns while they were on vacation – they are dedicated to their profession. There were some small concerns or issues along the way – they were addressed and resolved in a timely manner which was greatly appreciated. This has been an educational and rewarding experience. A lot has to do with the relationship established with the client. The Besnos family (Mark and Enna), from the beginning, have been friendly, patient, honest and trustworthy. I now have a beautiful dream kitchen to enjoy with family. Thank you Mark and Enna.

Horizon Construction and Remodeling designed and built us a beautiful open kitchen and expanded common room area. They opened and re-supported walls to give us the home of our dreams. WE LOVE THIS NEW SPACE!!! Our whole family can now enjoy being together in a gorgeous, modern, easy-to-work-in kitchen and family room. The materials and look are just what we imagined, helped by Mark Bezos’ excellent sense of design and leadership in advising the beautiful and functional in our budget. Another essential strength of Horizon’s business model is the detailed contract: each stage of the plan was clear, referenced in every new stage. We never paid for any work until that portion of the project was completed to our satisfaction. Mark ensured that we were pleased with every part of every job. Only after complete customer approval did Horizon ask for payment of that portion of the remodel. This integrity and attention to the contract provided peace of mind for my husband and me, knowing that Horizon--Mark and Enna and other team members--have solid integrity and a proven commitment to customer service. The communications were always clear and easy through the office run by Enna Eskins, with quick response times and continuous accessibility. The same is true of Mark. He responded to every text and call within minutes. We felt the honesty of the Horizon Team throughout the whole process.

We chose Horizon for the reviews they received on Angie’s list. We met with the owner, Mark and talked about what we wanted and needed for our new kitchen. Horizon employees were professional and friendly. They kept on track and were timely with the work that needed to be done. When I had a design change or wanted tile to be redone, Mark addressed my issues and had it done quickly. The workers cleaned up after themselves which was a plus. We are very pleased with how our kitchen turned out. The cabinets and countertops came out beautifully and are my favorite. Overall, Horizon did a great job....Thank You.

The complete remodel of one of our bathrooms was just completed by Horizon Construction last week. The bathroom is gorgeous. I could not be happier. The project manager, David, was constantly on top of the scheduling and progression of the work. He visited almost every day to make sure everything was going to plan and always asked if we had any questions or problems. Any issues that came up were immediately addressed. Compared to many contractors I have dealt with, the communication was wonderful. The quality of the work was top notch and the various tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, painters, tile-setters, etc.) were all very pleasant and helpful. They were always on time per the schedule or if there was a delay, we received a timely e-mail and re-schedule time. The job was completed on time per the original promise date. The clean up at the end of the job was professionally done. I would highly recommend Horizon Construction for any remodeling job.

Our dream to remodel our kitchen began a couple of years ago. We interviewed contractors but none worked out or followed up with us. We began to again search in the summer of 2017 and met with Mark of Horizon Construction as well as with other contractors. We were especially impressed when we visited the Horizon office to see cabinets and other materials. Also, we were very impressed by Ena and the staff. Mark had great ideas and helped us design a new kitchen for us. Work began in mid November (due to our schedule) and progressed well with workers showing up on time almost every day. Work included demolition, replacing all cabinets with granite tops and tile backsplash, creating an island with a sink which involved moving plumbing, widening of the doorway between the kitchen and dinning room, enclosure of a preexisting sliding door, new floors in the hallways, kitchen and dining rooms and creating a new gas line and venting exhaust for the new range and other electrical upgrades. The work progressed smoothly despite a few bumps in the road. Mark made certain all work was done to his high expectations. Ena and the office staff were always available to answer our questions. Inspections went smooth and quickly. The job was completed on schedule and to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Horizon Construction and will not hesitate to call on them again for future projects.

The workers are conscientious, hard working and courteous. They were on time, did what they were assigned perfectly and cleaned up after! We made a few changes along the way and they hung with us and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time. Mark (the contractor), Enna his wife and all the girls in the office were happy to hear from us and always got right back to us with an answer or a solution! It’s a family owned business and it makes all the difference!

Terrible. The salesman who came to my home, David, refused to give a written estimate. He said it would take a lot of time to write one up. He just kept pressuring me to hire Horizon without a written estimate. I refused.

Horizon did a great job remodeling our bathroom. The job was completed earlier than expected. We are very happy with the remodel and the bathroom looks beautiful.

we met Horizon Construction & Remodeling representative after meeting 2 others contractors and we must say we liked them a lot. he was very knowledgable and personable. he listen to us and made good suggestions and was always available for us. We honestly couldn't do this project without him It took longer than we planned because it was around holidays season but it was worth it - the end product is beautiful we get a lot of compliments from family and friends we appreciate the hard work - all workers were very dedicated and talented we will spread the good word about Horizon!

Very well--we love the new bathroom! The old bathroom was crapped, damp and colored pink (the house was build in 1957). The only venting was the window. My father requires a full time caregiver and there was barely enough room in the bathroom for one grown man let alone two. Mark came up with an excellent floor plan and matched his ideas with our hopes and wishes. The bathroom was completely gutted. The plumbing for the shower (with shower head and hand shower) was added and the plumbing for the toilet and the vanity sink was moved. Three areas of lighting were added--over the vanity, over the toilet, and in the shower. A combination venting fan/light was installed. An additional electrical outlet was installed. The bathroom window was replaced. Floor to ceiling tile was installed for the shower as was a channel drain (the shower is 8 feet wide). The project was finished not only on time but 12 days early. The entry into the bathroom and the new shower can now accommodate a person in a wheelchair. Not only is it functional, it's beautiful in its modern palette of neutral grays, tans and creams. All work was professionally done and supervised by Mark. After the project was completed, Mark and Enna called to follow up. When there was an issue with the shower not draining, I made one call and Mark's workers were out the next morning to fix it. This was my first remodel project and on a whole it much better than I had hoped it could be. We are very satisfied and will be hiring Horizon for future projects.

We chose Horizon to refresh the exterior of our home based upon the good ratings in Angie’s List and Houzz. They were very prompt in setting a time to meet with us. Leo listened very well to what we wanted to have done and then he walked us through how they would go about getting the job done. He detailed for us the many steps they would go through to prepare for the work that would need to be done for removing old facade, adding new stucco, painting, adding stone veneer and replacing patio fence. He explained some of the extra steps they do that others skip, which are important for a long-lasting result. Leo laid out for us the expected start time and timeline for completion. Based upon some other estimates that I had received, Horizon’s cost estimate was very reasonable. Their back-office staff was also very helpful to us in selecting the materials to be used on the job and working with us on scheduling. Once the job got started, it progressed according to plan, and all city inspections were completed timely without need for any change to the work they had done. The job was completed to our satisfaction, on time and on budget; they even did a few extra add-ons without charging us anything extra. Job well done, thank-you!

Thank you! Horizon did a great job with my room addition with bathroom and patio. Now I have a great guest room for when my friends and family come to visit. I now start my day on my new patio enjoying my coffee in the shade. Mike the project manager was wonderful to work with He was helpful in helping me designing both the interior and exterior layout. He had a lot of great suggestions and was very knowledgeable. I will not hesitate to call upon them for any additional work in the future.

Mark and Enna were fantastic! Mark has an excellent understanding of construction and the realities of renovating a home. His recommendations reflect his extensive experience and his artistic flare. We found that by listening to him, his ideas proved to be a better fit than our original ideas. We are so very glad that we took his advice, especially regarding our kitchen remodel. Horizon has an entire showroom of materials and other construction examples at their Fullerton location. This made the selection of materials extremely convenient. We also found that their material options were of very good quality. We love the back-splash that we picked out in our kitchen! When we first met Mark, he was 5 minutes early to our appointment. Everyone we dealt with after the initial meeting was either early or exactly on time. We never had to wait for anyone. When a repair was needed or a concern arose, Enna resolved the matter very quickly, sometimes within the hour. They were very up front about what was being done and they stayed on budget. We moved out of our house for 2 months and they had us back in exactly on schedule. No surprises. Our home was very outdated and needed some serious attention and that is exactly what we got. We would hire Horizon Construction and Remodeling again without question.

In October 2018 I met with Mike, Project Manager, from Horizon Construction to do a basic kitchen & wet bar remodel. He was very easy to work with and explained the process very clearly. Horizon replaced all my cabinets, installed new granite counter tops, backsplash, sinks and faucets, and painted the room. This was to be completed in 4 weeks, but ended up taking a little over 5 weeks as there were issues with some cabinets, backsplash, and minor electrical problems. Every concern or even complaint I voiced was immediately addressed and corrected. They all are focused on providing excellent customer service and making sure their clients are satisfied. Enna, owner, contacted me recently to ask if there was anything else I needed, and this was a month after completion. Cost of the project was within the budget I had allowed and felt their costs are reasonable and competitive. Even with the extra week to complete the project, the result, is a beautiful new kitchen, island and wet bar. I may be remodeling another room and would hire Horizon Construction again as their concern for customer satisfaction stands out…

After speaking to three general construction companies, we decided to hire Horizon Construction for our projects. Their prices were reasonable as compared to the other companies, and we appreciated the detailed written scope of the project that they provided to us. Mark, Enna, and their office staff were very pleasant to work with; they also have a very nice showroom. Overall, we are happy with how our projects turned out. Enna is great with communications. She always replied to our messages promptly to address our issues and concerns. We did have various issues with the workmanship and cleanliness of some of the trades that came to do the work, which made us felt that the project manager was not always attentive to what was being done at our house. We had to clean up a lot of the messes that were left every night when came home. Horizon could definitely benefit as a company, if they improve their ability to oversee a project more closely to ensure that things are being done properly by their sub-contractors. But, in general, Mark and Enna do care about the satisfaction of their customers. They are committed to making things right. They always made sure that we were happy with the end result. We never felt like Enna or Mark would just ignore us or our concerns. For this reason alone, we would recommend their company to others.

We loved the fact Horizon had a nice showroom where we could find everything we liked. It made all decision process much easier for us. Mark Besnos did excellent job, he planned everything very well. The communication was great and easy. Enna Eskin was helpful at office and over emails. We love our new kitchen it is just like we imagined even better ! This is now a perfect summer house for our big family Thank you Horizon !

Work was done in a timely fashion, and the quality was excellent. Each stage of the project was managed well, all workers were punctual and did a good job of cleaning up after work was done. Work was completed ahead of schedule and we were very happy with the final results.

Well, I wish I had something fun and exciting like a room addition or kitchen remodel to talk about, but our project was just a boring, complicated, extensive repair/renovation. For more than a decade, every time we had a major storm, we got flooding in our family room, and every time we thought we had fixed the problem, when the next storm came, the water re-appeared. We talked to several contractors, and they all had pretty much the same opinion. Since we couldn’t figure our the source or sources of the leaking, the only way to fix it for sure would be to completely remove and replace the stucco and paper from the rear of the house, and replace all the windows. This would also involve detaching and disassembling a large, wood patio cover, and then putting it back together. One contractor didn’t even want to take the job. We chose Horizon due to a high recommendation from my brother who had used them for a kitchen re-model. The estimate and bid process was quick and smooth, and communication and scheduling with Enna and the office was great throughout. Mark was quick to address the problems, which were many, due to the fact that, as it turned out, our leaks were coming from more than one source. The quality of the work, for the most part was excellent. In fact, the building inspector commented that the workmanship of the wrapping job was the best he had ever seen. My only complaint is that the work of the window installers was less than stellar, but all-in-all, the final outcome was good. The color and texture of the stucco also perfectly matches the rest of the house. We did a water test, and all looks good. We won’t know for sure until the next big storm, but I’m confident that we’ll have a dry family room. so confident, In fact, that we just installed new carpet.

Mark and team just finished giving our old house a face lift. Outstanding job! Mark gave us some great advice on how to make the house look its best. His input/opinions matched our taste. Mark's attention to details and the quality of the work ensured the outcome was to our satisfaction. We would definitely recommend them and use them again on our next project.

After talking to several contractors, we reached out to Horizon Construction for a bid. Mark came out to our house to discuss our project. After talking a while, Mark gave suggestions for changes to the blue prints. It took 7 months with our previous contractor/architect to get the changes made, but they were unquestionably worth the wait. Once we had approval from the city Mark worked us into their busy schedule right away. Mark and his crew worked every day to get our project finished in the timeline they gave us. Like most projects there were setbacks, budget changes, and other bumps in the road. However, Mark and his team worked really hard. They did a great job scheduling inspections to keep the job moving. All of the budget changes were because of things we wanted or added not because of his incorrect bid. When issues arose, his office staff was great at contacting us, communicating via phone and email, and answered questions quickly. Mark and Enna were a joy to work with, they were punctual, professional, offered good ideas, and allowed us to do some of the work ourselves. Mark is very particular in the way he expects the work to look, he treats his projects likes it is his own place. Mark and Enna always worked diligently to be sure we were happy with the products and services they provided. Despite skepticism from friends and neighbors, Mark was done a few days early. We would definitely recommend Horizon Construction to any of our family and friends.

The man was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He hasn't given me a quote, initial meeting was for plans. He answered all my questions, and gave me good suggestions. And he wasn't pushy at all and very pleasant. only improvement giving the meeting and first one I frankly don't know, he could of brought doughnuts.
