We wanted to remodel for a long time. Had interviewed several contractors. We didn’t know anyone here. When we met David from Horizon we felt safe. He understood our vision and helped us clarify it. We liked that Horizon is 1 stop destination with a showroom, this is truly helpful in this process. We chose David Eskin with Horizon Construction and Remodeling, Inc. to and it turned beautiful. We Loved All horizon workers. We had few communication glitches but those were resolved right away. David did a great job keeping his cool and listening to all our questions and concerns and was on top of it right away ready to explain and resolve. My only feedback will be in this area - to try and explain the clients more so less questions will arise. Overall we are very satified with our new kitchen and 2 new bathrooms and recommend Horizon construction and remodeling in Fullerton CA to others !

Mark Besnos is the owner of this company and he made sure all work was done perfectly and exactly on time. The workers were polite, considerate and helpful! We started with the master bathroom and then went on to have the whole house redone by Horizon as we were so pleased with their work and their ethics! We even called them back again recently when we had water damage and Mark and his crew repaired all the damage!

While searching for a quartz counter top to coordinate with my existing beige flooring, I discovered Horizon. They had what I wanted and secured a backsplash with a mosaic to complete the color scheme. Mark is a hands on contractor-owner . He oversees every step of the job and there is little down time in the process. The workers willingly try to accommodate customer requests. If an installation is not satisfactory, it is corrected. After poor experiences with previous contractors, we came into our next home repair project with reservations and a long check-list of characteristics we wanted in our next contractors, including responsiveness, professionalism, expertise, and follow-through. Horizon was one of the half dozen businesses we solicited. If cost was the only factor, Horizon would not have been selected. While the company provided discounts, its estimate was triple the lowest bid and thousands more than another contractor we were considering. We met Rey and Omri, and we were impressed with the way they addressed our concerns and exuded pride in the company’s reputation for high customer service and satisfaction. We got what we paid for: • Jobs were completed as scheduled (or there was sufficient communication and transparency during the few times complications arose). • Horizon was responsive, both in its communication and follow-through with requests. • Workmanship and attention to detail was excellent. • The company handled minor incidental items without charging us extra. • Half a year later, we contacted the business about a warranty issue. The company was prompt in its response, and the problem was fixed within a few days. It is evident Horizon values maintaining positive relations with its customers. If price is not the sole determinant, we recommend the company and will continue to keep it at the top of our list for future remodeling projects.

I bought a house last year and worked with David to remodel the kitchen, master bathroom and guest bathroom. David was professional and had great design ideas. He designed the layouts and helped me selecting the materials for the kitchen and the bathrooms. The transformation was amazing. The open floor plan between the kitchen and the family room makes the house looks incredible expansive. The projects were finished on time and passed all the inspections. The final results were exactly as my vision of my house should be!

As is common with many construction projects, we experienced several issues and it took longer than originally planned. However, David and Mark addressed and corrected all issues, even ripping out and starting over on several items when necessary. Despite the issues and timing delays, Horizon did come in on budget, and we absolutely love the new bathrooms and bedroom floor!

After reading comments on Angie’s List and on many other web sites such as BBB and Yelp, we decided to get estimates from Horizon and three other service providers. After our initial interview with each prospective provider, we concluded that Horizon provided the most comprehensive services at pricing that was very competitive. Our project involved a variety of skillsets including woodworking, plumbing, electrical, tile installation, fabrication and cutting of counter-top surfaces, and finishing and painting. Rather than hiring a jack-of-all trades, Horizon delivered highly skilled craftsmen in each field who completely embraced Horizon’s expectations for quality. Our Horizon project manager David was instrumental to the success of our project. David did a great job coordinating and supervising the work of each of the craftsmen. David was very responsive and easy to reach when questions arose. David was on site regularly to inspect progress and assure that the craftsmen met Horizon’s high expectations for quality. Horizon Construction & Remodeling in 2018 lied about getting City inspections done, damaged my home and covered up the damage, and left dangerous conditions throughout my home, leaving myself and my family at risk. For example, just some of the things Inspectors found: sharp roof shingles unattached on my roof which could have fallen and cut us; they left exposed electrical wiring in the attic = potential fire danger; extremely hot pipes not insulated, which could have burnt us, and more. The City is making me remove construction Horizon did because they lied about getting approval. DO NOT HIRE THEM. They are a dangerous company. They also gave a portion of the remodel to another general contractor (not as a subcontractor) without my approval. Horizon Construction (Mark Besnos) did not supervise this other contractor, who’s license has been suspended and is being prosecuted by the California Attorney General’s Office. All of this can be confirmed. This was a big project and Horizon Construction & Remodeling took my money and have left my entire family devastated by the amount of damage they did to our home.

We are very pleased with our new master bathroom! It is gorgeous! The bathroom was gutted and Horizon replaced the tiled walk-in shower and bathroom floor, installed a custom vanity and two huge framed mirrors, and all new plumbing and electrical fixtures. They also scraped, textured and painted our master bedroom ceiling. Mark was creative in helping us with design ideas and made sure all the details that we envisioned were taken care of to our satisfaction. Enna was in the office and guided us through the process, answering any questions or concerns we had along the way. She was knowledgeable herself, or she referred our questions to Mark or Tal, our foreman. Communication was quick and constant...either by email or phone. All the people who worked on our project were courteous, competent, and kept our home as clean as possible, tidying up each day before leaving. Our project started on time and finished on time, with people working every day. We always felt we were in very good hands. With anyone else we might have had a nice bathroom, but with Horizon we have a BEAUTIFUL bathroom! I wrote the above review in 2015...I'm back today, in 2019, because Horizon just finished remodeling our second bathroom! We were so pleased with all aspects of the first project, that we called Horizon back without even contacting any other construction companies. Once again, we have a beautifully finished bathroom. Things are done completely to our satisfaction, and on time! Mark worked with us on site, and Genesis and Enna were our office contacts. They were always available to us with answers to any questions or information regarding schedules and/or supplies. Thank you Horizon!!

(Written about 3.5 months after job completion) I must admit that we were highly cautious with our next bathroom remodel hire. Reason being was a previous contractor abandoned our master bathroom remodel after attempts to have them address valid concerns. That other contractor's license was eventually suspended after multiple consumer complaints were filed. Thankfully, working with Horizon Construction and Remodeling Inc on addressing a previous contractor's mess ups and then completing a redo of another bathroom in our home was a much better experience. The new remodel job that was Horizon's from start to finish was completed in a timely manner. With our older house, there were issues uncovered after the demo process that were not too much of a surprise. The issue extended our timeline and did add somewhat minor costs to the job. When questions or concerns were raised, Mike Roppo, our project leader, was responsive to address issues and provide explanations before the job moved forward. I could not give Horizon straight A ratings because of some of the worksite conditions at the end of a couple jobs. For example, white residue was left on our hedges and some of our walkway from workers mixing materials - possibly grout. Also, workers left cigarette butts in our newly installed small rocks landscaping that couldn't just get swept out easily. Workers did clean up nicely for all interior jobs. Finally, after completion of both bathrooms, two more events occurred. First, Horizon came out and made repairs that surfaced, like settling cracks in the grout for example. This was part of their contract, but it was done in a timely fashion. Second, Horizon was helpful with our complaint to the contractor license board by providing a statement of the condition of the bathroom remodel that was abandoned. Overall, we would include Horizon on our list of contractors to work with again.

We chose Horizon Construction & Remodeling for our project. They are a family owned business that provides outstanding customer service. Our project was a kitchen and living room remodel. Our home was built in the early 50’s with the center piece of the home being an indoor bar-b-que taking up most of one wall of a very small kitchen and a massive fireplace in the living room. After weeks of delays and concerns from the city, an engineer and architect from Horizon were brought in to help finalize plans. The final decision was to remove the massive brick structure. The kitchen and living room were gutted, fireplace and bar-be-que demolished and a new wall was constructed. We especially liked that everything we needed was on display at their showroom and the staff was extremely patient and helpful as we make our choices. Throughout the remodel our project manager, David, and the office staff kept us informed as to what was happening and who was coming to work the next day. Each day the crew working cleaned up and did not leave a mess. David, Enna, Genesis and the office staff were always very professional and constantly checking as to how we were doing since we stayed in the home throughout the remodel. From the very first phone call I made to Horizon I felt valued as a client. The office staff was always kind and helpful. Our project manager, David, was easy to work with and was always responsive to any questions or concerns. He stopped by frequently to check the progress throughout the project and kept us informed of the next phase and work scheduling. All the tradesmen involved were professional, respectful of our home, great to talk with and did an excellent job. Any remodeling project can be stressful, but I believe that the service we received from Horizon made the process as smooth as possible. We love our beautiful new kitchen and bathroom. I interviewed multiple contractors to complete a full bathroom remodel for 3 bathrooms. I ultimately chose Horizon because I knew they would be the right fit for the project I was undertaking. They are a small family owned business that has the customer’s satisfaction in the forefront of their minds. We agreed that we would complete the project in two phases. We completed a hall and master bathroom remodel first with the third bathroom to take place after the first of the year. Both Horizon and their subcontractors are available to answer questions and assist with any decision making you may need or ideas to make your project have an outcome that you are 100% satisfied with. The workmanship, timeliness and cleanliness of each subcontractor was impeccable. I would highly recommend Horizon for your next remodel.

I started this bathroom remodel with a different contractor - but it didn’t go well. So I hired Horizon Construction & Remodeling and my bathroom is absolutely stunning. I will recommend them to friends and family. David my project manager was great, he always assured me that all will be taken care for me and I actually could sleep good at night. And I did ! I’m very happy ! Any questions that come out were addressed in a very timely manner. Which made me feel very comfortable. Now the project is complete it looks absolutely wonderful beyond my expectations My family and I really love it!

Some people like long reviews; others like short. For the shorter group, here is the headline; Horizon Construction was great. The key to the success was our project manager Mike, rely on him. Finally, we would use them again. For those who like more detail… My wife and I contracted Horizon Construction in November 2017 for a remodel of our home. Included in the work was removal of a load bearing wall, redesign of the kitchen layout including everything that goes with that as well (cabinets, counters, sink, etc.), addition of French doors, closing up of two windows, new fireplace, paint, flooring… the whole 10 yards. Additionally, there was structural engineering and plans that were required. Horizon was not the least expensive contractor we interviewed but we felt most comfortable with them after meeting several others. There was no questions about whether or not we wanted to permit, we did, nor any nickel and diming of us during the work. The price included all the work and when we wanted to add items, and we did, concise change orders were received and everything was above board. The bid included everything from plans to cabinets to completion. The items that were not included were well documented and it made it clear to us what we needed to do. The only “major” items were appliances. Overall, we were happy with the work Horizon did. By far the most positive interaction was with our project manager, Mike. He was helpful with the design, kept us informed on when and who would be at the house, was at the house during inspections, and overall kept the project running. He was able to provide tips and feedback when we had questions or weren’t sure what exactly what we wanted. He was a big part of why everything came out great. The tradesmen who completed the work were, for the most part, top notch (minus the stucco guys). They all understood what needed to be done and it appeared that this was all well within their abilities. From the painter, to the electrician, to the framers, to the plumbers, everyone was professional and we really felt like they cared about doing a good job and wanted to make sure we were happy. Alas, the project finished on time, it looks great, and we are very happy with our “new” home. We would use Horizon Construction again if the need arises.

I interviewed three contractors and chose Mark Besnos and Horizon for an extensive interior remodel of my home – master bedroom and bath, guest bathroom, kitchen. The project included removing a soffit ceiling in about half the house, installing a new support beam to eliminate a post, wainscoting in the living and dining room, hardwood flooring in the renovated areas (except the bathrooms), two new windows, and a new fireplace mantel. Mark wasn’t the least expensive but based on his experience and our discussion I felt he would be “hands on” and would provide guidance during the course of the project. Mark has excellent taste. He was patient and worked with me and my cousin (who was consulting with me) very well. He was earnest in trying to accommodate his visits to my work schedule. A project of this magnitude is bound to encounter some challenges, and Mark was good at explaining them and presenting options, while giving me time to reflect. The various trades who worked on my home were top notch, and when there were some issues Mark immediately took steps to correct, fix, re-do, what needed to be done. An example is the flooring. There was a haze on the floor and Mark contacted the manufacturer and called in and paid (at his expense) a professional to inspect the floor and make recommendations. Mark and his team were always on top of things, communicating often via email (my preference) and also texts. The end result has exceeded my expectations. I am thrilled with my new, open concept, home. The kitchen is amazing, the fireplace is a focal point, and I absolutely love my master bathroom. We had some fun with the guest bathroom as well. Now I need artwork! Bottom line . . . if someone leaves me a house in his or her will and I have to remodel it, I’m calling Mark.

We called Horizon to help with a remodel of the exterior of our home. They were very responsive and we met with Mark when we were ready to start. Mark was great. He listened to our ideas and then came up with a plan. I like that Mark is not shy when it comes to problems that may be encountered. You want that! He foresaw some issues that we addressed having to do with HOA and I am glad we did. Everything went great and any problems that may have come up were dealt with right away. Mark also helped us with the design and colors. Enna was amazing...she was with us through the entire project and was super responsive! We love her. They made sure everything was perfect and if it wasn’t, they made sure to take care of it very quickly. An example of this was the painters. They did a great job but there were some minor touch ups that we wanted taken care of. Mark came out and took pictures and the painters were there to fix every detail. They stayed on time and we couldn’t have asked for better care. They are amazing and we will definitely use them again for our next project!

My wife and I made the decision to completely remodel our 55 year old kitchen which included removing a couple of walls to open it up to the dining room and living room. After deeply vetting numerous contractors and securing proposals, we selected Horizon Construction in Fullerton, CA. Mark Besnos, company owner, was by far the most detail oriented and considerate home improvement contractor we’ve ever worked with. Throughout all phases of the project, Horizon provided extraordinary workmanship in a very timely manner. Of course with any major project there are a few challenges. Horizon Construction remedied every issue with effective contingency plans for any problem they encountered. Here is an excellent example of superior service: We selected and ordered quartz counter tops from MSI of Orange, CA. When the quartz counter tops arrived and were installed, they had a number of finishing defects which Horizon tried to repair. Unfortunately, the defects were irreparable and MSI would not stand behind their product and workmanship. Mark and Horizon Construction however alleviated our aggravation by selflessly offering us a partial financial reimbursement even though the counter top finishing was not Horizon’s responsibility. From beginning to completion, Horizon Construction exhibited professionalism, pride of workmanship and a commitment to excellence. If you are seeking the finest company to successfully bring your remodeling dreams to reality, Horizon Construction is unquestionably the one!

We were referred to Horizon Construction from a neighbor that had recently hired them for a bathroom & kitchen remodel. Although Horizon’s was quote was higher than previous quotes, we went with them based on the quality of workmanship we saw in my neighbor’s home plus their great online reviews. The first couple of weeks went well. We were told the job would take 4-5 weeks to complete. The first round of workers and inspector were on schedule. Around week three things slowed down. The tile guy only worked between 3-5 hours a day. We ran into a couple problems with paint that resulted in “do-overs”. Some of the mistakes made by the painters were somewhat novice. However our project manager was quick to respond and correct the issues. The job was completed at the end of week five. At the end, our experience with Horizon Construction was a great one. The office staff and project manager were pleasant and attentive to our concerns. We are happy with the work done in our bathroom and would consider using them again in the future. I highly recommend Horizon Construction to anyone looking to do a remodel/construction in their home.

It went great! Enna ,David and the entire Horizon Group were a pleasure to work with. Expectations clearly communicated and met. Trades arrived when scheduled, on time and prepared. The few problems that came up were quickly resolved to our satisfaction. We are planning further work next year and will use Horizon Construction and Remodel again. We have full confidence that we will be treated as fairly and professionally as we were on this project.

We contracted with Horizon Construction and Remodeling to remodel all three of our bathrooms. Mark, Enna and the administrative staff were fully involved throughout the project providing updates, schedule reminders and addressing all of our concerns along the way. While we were upgrading the two upstairs bathrooms, we had a family of 5 sharing a downstairs shower. Mark was good about keeping the project moving forward and getting us use of the upstairs bathrooms as soon as possible. During the demo work, we uncovered bathtub rust. Mark covered the options and was able to work in the schedule a replacement with a project quick change order. We also decided midflight of the remodel that the existing cabinets were not going to work. Mark once again was able to provide options for us to address within our timeframe and budget. As during any remodel big or small, issues and challenges will arise. Mark and the whole Horizon team went out of their way to make sure my wife and I were extremely pleased with the process and end results. We very much appreciated the communication, periodic onsite morning meetings and the breakdown of payments spread throughout the 4 month project that allowed us a little more control of the finances. Overall, we appreciated the honesty, upfront discussions, and their dedication to details to make our bathrooms beautiful. We would not hesitate to contract with them again.
