"Thank you for taking the time to tell us why our service failed to meet your expectations. We value your business, and would like to address your concerns as quickly as possible. I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we have caused you. (1) The couch was covered, however when Chase tried to pull it out of the truck it slipped off the moving pad, thus was rubbing up against the dirty floor of the uhaul truck. Go ahead and have the couch cleaned and send me the bill and i will reimburse you for the cleaning. (2) Yes, there were scratches on your chairs and Richard pointed them out to your daughter prior to putting them on the truck. I was told your daughter said "that's fine, don't worry about it". I was also told these chairs looked like your cat scratched them in several areas. The damage to your chairs were caused by your cats, NOT by our movers. (3) The crew is extremely surprised you mentioning how long the job took. You had a lot of stuff. You were able to fill a 26' truck 2.5 times. 90% of our moves we can fit into one trip in a 26' truck. They worked hard throughout the day and stopped for a lunch and dinner break. You also have to keep in mind the travel time from your current location to the new house (30 min each way) thus 2.5 hrs of the move was travel time. Richard also mentioned to you about centralizing all the boxes during the unload process to one area of the house to cut down on time, however you wanted them to put the boxes in each of the rooms they went in, which in turn took more time doing this. It was a long and very hot day for everyone! Please know that I will personally be handling your case, and will be in contact with you until this issue is resolved to your satisfaction. Please send me the bill for the cleaning service on the couch. It is my goal to restore your confidence in our company by solving this problem and preventing it from happening again. "WOW... that about sums up this review. This customer is lucky i'm not filing a lawsuit for slander with all these false accusations and lies! I think the only true statement in this whole review is that she found us on living social. It would take me well over an hour to respond to these ludicrous accusations. I'm very tempted to jump in and react to these comments, but i certainly don't want to say anything that i will later regret and i certainly don't want a confrontation. Will it really solve the problem that i claim innocent in the matter, a point of view which is counter to the customers? I think it will most likely only inflame the argument. So with that said, i think we are going to have to agree to disagree in this case and i will drop it. Is it satisfying? Absolutely not, but at the end of the day there are only so many battles one can fight in life. It’s very sad when this type of situation comes up. We strive to provide Five Star Service at EVERY job we undertake. Unfortunately, this customer is making us out to be the bad guy. Five Star Moving has been in business for 12 years. We have 200+ glowing testimonials on varies web sites such as uhaul moving helper, our many A rating reviews on Angie’s List and the 75+ reviews people have left on our own personal web site. Obviously we cannot please every single person, but these blatant lies and attempts to slander our good name are malicious, scandalous and downright wrong. It is our sincere hope that readers will see this situation for what it is; a big malignant lie. The damages inflicted by gossip or slander can be severe. It is not by accident that scripture addresses gossip and the dangers that it can inflict. When Solomon wrote the Proverbs, he included the seven things the Lord hates. Among them, "A false witness who utters lies" (Proverbs 6:19) It's very unfortunate that Angie's List is unable to differentiate who is being truthful and who is not, but we refuse to let one persons false accusations ruin our good name. Our reputation goes far beyond our name. More than half of our customers have either moved with Five Star before, or have been recommended to us by satisfied customers. We hold ourselves to the high standards of quality and service that our customers demand."
