During the estimating process, Tom took his time to understand our style. We asked for a more detailed estimate and Tom gladly obliged. The other contractors generally spent less time with us, and we felt Tom and Construction Masters would be the best fit for us. During the project, Tom helped us make choices that got us what we wanted and also kept us on budget. He got us a great price on the tile and granite, and helped with the selection. He even found the beautiful glass tile that became our backsplash! Remodeling is never perfect: we've done several other remodeling projects of roughly similar scope and we found Tom and Moshe to be very responsive when the inevitable surprises occurred. it's hard to ask for more than that. In addition, they beat their time line by nearly two weeks, which we really appreciated (you can only eat so much take-out 3 x daily). We're voting with our dollars: Construction Masters is remodeling our main bathroom and 2 closets as we write this review. More later.
Description of Work: Our project initially consisted of a gut remodel of our kitchen and the transformation of a back entry into a master bathroom. We also needed to close the door from the entry into the kitchen, and install a new back door into the dining room. Finally, we wanted to open up the space by creating a pass through, in a bearing wall, from the kitchen into the living room. In the kitchen they installed all new cabinets and appliances, granite countertops, glass tile backsplash, cork flooring, new LED recessed lights, under- and in-cabinet lighting. They had to add several circuits, move plumbing for the refrigerator and gas for the stove. In the bath, they ran all new plumbing and wiring, installed a wall-mounted vanity, a pocket door, tile floor, and custom tiled shower enclosure. They also replaced the original back door with a small frosted window and patched/painted the exterior stucco. In both rooms they applied a skim coat over the walls so it better matched out plaster walls, and painted all the rooms they worked in. During the project they discovered the wiring was in very poor condition (the house was built in 1946) and we decided to rewire the house. We had already done some wiring with a different contractor, who had also upgraded the panel, but the additional cost of rewiring was about $8000 (the original kitchen and bath estimate was approximately $35,000). We provided virtually all of the fixtures, tile, and granite. They paid for construction materials.
At the start of the project I was upset as Tom was supervising my job and rather than take notes and follow through on what was to be saved during the demolition he let everything be thrown out. I spoke with him and he called in the owner, Moshe, and Moshe made it a point to take over the job. No hard feelings towards Tom, just a personality difference between he and I . As the job progressed I was more than satisfied. My husband is in construction (old story: why didn't he do the job? Have you ever seen the gardener's yard? It would have been months and months to completion as perfect as he truly is) and he eyed every step of the job and could find very little he could comment on. Moshe was very patient with me and all of my questions, he made sure that I was aware of every step along the way. My master bath was a 1980's nightmare and after gutting the entire area, installing a pocket door, thank you Tom for figuring out how to incorporate that, the new master bath is bling beautiful!! Soaking tub, waterfall like glass tiles in the shower, sexy lighting...........the entire bath is a spa delight. Next were the wood floors, and stair case, just perfection!! On to the removal of all the '80s built in oak cabinetry. Dry wall is a mess but this was done well and the clean up was good. Now to remove the load bearing wall and what a job that was. Well over 15' of beam to be installed, footings, columns, it was just a giant job that looks as if the house were built this way. It doubled the kitchen size, and what a kitchen! They removed one of the sliding glass doors, made that a wall of cabinets, glass back splash that was no easy job to install, glass fronted corner cabinet, drawer dishwasher, drawer microwave, just perfection! The center island is 8'x6' and the granite is the focal point of the entire down stairs. The lighting, laid out by Moshe, is more that I would have thought about and insures all the lighting I will need to cook and entertain in the kitchen. The cabinets (by Jacob) are just a thing of beauty, self closing cabinet doors and drawers, built in trash cans, a finish that is perfection, everything I could wish for. Here's something that you won't get from other contractors. I had an island removed during demolition but it was a large piece of granite and really nice so I had it put outside and I was going to eventually have it made into a patio table for eight. Moshe took it, finished the one raw edge and returned it without my knowledge so here I have this wonderful outdoor granite table as a gift from my Contractor. Who does that? All in all I could never thank Moshe enough for his patience, his professionalism, his excellent taste, and most of all his care and concern. If you didn't know better you would think he was remodeling his own home rather than the home of a stranger. Thank you Moshe for making our new house our wonderful new home!
Description of Work: We had a load bearing wall in a two story house removed, a complete kitchen remodel, master bath remodel, wood floors installed upstairs and down stairs, built in cabinets removed and drywalled, powder room redone, lighting installed, plumbing installed, sliding glass door removed and wall installed to replace it.

My husband and I recently purchased our first home and decided that we wanted to have the one bathroom in the house renovated before we moved in at the end of January. We read the outstanding reviews of Construction Masters on Angie's List and called for an estimate. Although we called one evening at a time that we thought would be after business hours, we were pleasantly surprised when someone answered at that late hour. She took our information, and within about an hour we got a call back from Moshe to discuss the work we wanted to have done. Tom came out to our house a few days later and provided what we thought seemed like a reasonable estimate, so we decided to move forward. Although this was our first experience with home renovation, I have always heard nightmare stories, but I truly couldn't be happier with Construction Masters work. They were punctual, professional and excellent about keeping us informed about the work that had been done that day and what would be next. They even got the work done ahead of schedule, which enabled us to actually have a gorgeous working bathroom on moving day! Their work is absolutely beautiful, and they have been wonderful about coming back to fix the couple of minor things that came up after the work was completed. I have already referred Construction Masters to a personal friend, and can't wait to save up enough money to have them come back and work on our kitchen!

We got quotes from a couple of different contractors, and we went with Construction Masters. The best part of the experience was how responsive Tom was; every time we called, he responded within the hour (if not less). All our questions and concerns were addressed. The price noted above did not include the tile for the floor and the backsplash, which we had to buy ourselves. We also ended up paying more than we initially thought for the counters, as the allocation in the quote for counters was small (and the selection limited). All the crews were very clean, punctual, and professional. They kept the disruption to our overall household very minimal, and even though we were initially told it was going to be 3-4 weeks, they got the work done in 2 weeks flat. Overall, a really good experience!
Description of Work: My wife and I got a complete remodel of our kitchen done. We had new cabinets and counters installed, new floor and backsplash, while maintaining the same footprint for the kitchen.

Very pleased with the results of Moshe and Construction Masters: We hired them back in 09/2012 to renovate our master bathroom and were very satisfied with the work completed. We now rehired them again to upgrade our Kitchen which took about a month and a half to complete. Great work!
Description of Work: Moshe and Construction Masters upgraded our Kitchen. They completely remodeled our Kitchen. They worked on the cabinets, counter tops, piping and upgraded our kitchen floor to tile. It was a very clean job and a fair prices. Thank you

Not a pleasant experience. We met at the location with Tom and described the work to be done; kitchen, three baths, windows, carpet, wood flooring, chimney, fireplace, laundry addition, etc. We asked for estimated price of material and labor by area and the total. He told us he would have to return to take measurements and then we would need to meet again for the numbers. At the time of the second appointment, he let himself in before we arrived using a lockbox we provided. He didn't wait for us to get there. Seemed odd since it was not his house to just let himself in and we were coming to meet him. We were presented with a ?work to be done? document and a grand total which was as much as TWICE what we had been quoted by other contractors. When I asked why such a large disparity, he said that his company was different because they supplied ?everything.? He rattled down, floors, cabinets, tiles, carpets, etc. I replied that every company I spoke to had included all these materials in their estimate and he was no different, so why the huge difference in price. He looked like a deer in headlights. He mentioned a list of things that made it so expensive, one was painting the whole interior of the house. I had never mentioned this to him, nor was this ever on my list of things to do. Again, the deer in headlight look. Since I just had a total figure, I wonder what else he might have included that I didn't ask for and that wasn't itemized? I asked again for a breakdown and he said it couldn't be done, that the figures wouldn't add up, and individual prices would amount to more than the total. Then there were excuses and whining. He bragged his company was different because they carried worker?s compensation. Having done research, I find that all contractors have such provisions. We discussed the cost of the chimney breakdown and rebuilding. I asked him what his cost would be for this. He said $30,000. I had gotten a professional chimney contractor to bid this and he had quoted $15,000. Half of what Tom was quoting. When I told him, he had no answer. We asked about relocating an upstairs shower and toilet. He said this required cutting into the kitchen ceiling underneath to intestate piping. He offered to do this when he came to do measurements. When we arrived at the second visit, he had hacked into the kitchen ceiling and there was debris on the floor. He showed no intention of cleaning up. When asked if his crew cleans a job after they leave, he said yes, but only if they are hired and paid. He said he had done me a favor by cutting into the ceiling and not charging me. After I said I would be writing a review was when he took the larger chunks but left all the rest on the floor for me to clean. Without the breakdown of cost and what I?ve described, I consider the association terminated.
Description of Work: Never got to that stage. Had company come out to give proposal.

Im sorry that you are not happy with our free estimate. First of all, the reason Tom was able to get in is because your daughter had given him the combination so he felt that it was ok. He spend a lot of time explaining things to you and as you said made a second visit, not to mention a third. We also spent a lot of time writting the proposal. I am sorry that you thought it was to high. I understand that you want to choose another company. What I don't understand is that you want to harm us with a bad review when we spent a lot of time trying to help you for free. A simple "No thank you" would have been fine. I wish you good luck with your project.

I couldn't be more pleased! I worked with Eric Weizman. He was very professional and from the beginning I knew he was the one that I have been waiting years to find. Our first meeting, he listened to what I wanted. He shared some ideas ( without being pushy). We spoke soon after and started . They were never late. The workers were polite. The thing I like most about Eric was that he always made sure I knew what was going to be next. The job went well, no problems it was finished in 2 1/2 weeks! No down time. I almost forgot the most important thing THEY ARE HONEST! I accidentally over payed on one check by $500.00. The next day Moshe ( the owner) and Eric both called me to tell me I overpaid and within days I had a reimbursement check. Thank you so much Construction Masters, you guys are the best!
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel- remove dry wall around cooktop. Remove tile replace with granite and re-tile backsplash. Put in medallion (mosaic tile) over stove. Put in new stovetop, sink, instant hot water, paint ceiling ,cabinets and room.
Working with Eric and the guys from Construction Masters was a very positive experience start to finish. I received bids from two other contractors before meeting Eric. The prices Construction Masters offered were reasonable compared to the others, and he didn't try to upsell me a lot of work we're not interested in doing. As a young(ish) woman, I also found other contractors I met with to be fairly sexist and condescending. Eric was not. He was a very straight shooter. They started on time every day, they were willing to work with us on timing the hardwood floors for when we could be out of the house, and they did the work in the timeframe and budget promised (except a few things we added on). The work they did was terrific. I'd definitely hire them again if we have needs in the future.
Description of Work: - Patching and painting kitchen ceiling - Replacing old light fixtures in kitchen with LED lights - Updating electrical outlets in kitchen - Drywall and stucco around unfinished window opening - Painting several rooms, including doors and baseboards - Refinishing hardwood floors

Although we ultimately did not end up going with Construction Masters for our remodel, Tom was extremely patient and professional throughout the entire process. Unlike many other estimates, Tom really took the time to help visualize whatever needs we had with intelligent solutions. Unfortunately we ended up picking another contractor for the job, but I felt that if we did end up going with Construction Masters, we would also be very happy with them.
Description of Work: My wife and I wanted to remodel the house after we purchased it. We were planning on remodeling our master bath, move the laundry room from the garage to a space by the bedrooms, enlarge a window by the living room, recessed lights all throughout the house, and move the existing kitchen into an open space by the family room. The estimate ended up approximately $100k for the work. Tom was very detailed and even gave us a 3D rendering of how the kitchen would look.

We have a rental home in Los Angeles but live in Chicago. When the master bath shower leaked through the living room ceiling in our LA house, we were in a panic -- needing a fast repair for our tenant, and having to do the work while being so far from the job. Moshe Cohen and Construction Masters to the rescue! At first it appeared we needed to build a brand new shower (expensive!), but their quote was not only the most competitive, but also the first to arrive and the easiest to understand. When the work began, Moshe realized the cause of the leak was not the shower pan as initially suspected (an $8,500 job), but just a leaky drain pipe. He could have done the more expensive job without us ever knowing the difference and collected on the full quote, but instead, he saved us an incredible amount of time, worry and money with the appropriate fix and an honest assessment of the problem. In the end, his honesty saved us $6,500. "Integrity" is unfortunately not a word I would often associate with contractors, but in this case, it's absolutely true of Moshe Cohen and Construction Masters. I cannot recommend them more highly, and will absolutely use them again when the time comes.
Description of Work: Initially, the job was to build a new shower in the master bath and repair the water damage below it. In the end, all that was needed was to repair the shower drain and the ceiling damage.

Eric and Moshe were wonderful to work with. They were interested in my business and came out quickly to give an estimate and close the deal. They startly very quickly after agreement was made. Workers were skilled and hard working. I made some changes during the course of the remodel which they were very willing to make adjustments to meet my needs. Tile floor was laid centered which looks wonderful and know other contractors would have just laid it to save money on the job. I appreciate the care and concern to make the job look professional. Plumber was excellent and tackled a few issues that arose well. Job took about a week to complete and 9 months later we are VERY happy with how the bathroom looks and functions. There were a couple minor items that needed adjustment upon completion. They came out quickly and took care of them with no problems at all. Would use Construction Masters again for sure. Thank you for providing great customer service.
Description of Work: Had our Master Bathroom Shower remodeled and tile flooring as well.
all went well. was a bit pricey, but i think you get what you pay for. eric was very professional, extremely responsive and was not pushy at all. the people who did the work were very fast and worked well. all in all, everything went very smoothly, which is rare in home remodel jobs. no headache at all, no chasing down, they came when they said they would and did the work that they said they would. overall, very happy with the result and experience.
Description of Work: clean out garage, insulation and drywall in garage. epoxy floors.
I had a great experience with Construction Masters ! After many years of procrastinating I decided that it was time to update my bathroom , it had suffered a bad renovation sometime in the seventies ( Before I owned the house ) and had a sunken bathtub rather dangerously installed at floor level. After reviewing their reviews on Angie's list I phoned Construction Masters for a quote. Project Manager Eric Weizman showed up on the scheduled date (on time !!) and took his time investigating the space and giving me several options on how to proceed. We agreed upon a price of 14,500 dollars for a total renovation that included replacing the old tile and fixtures, removing the old tub and constructing a new floor for the replacement tub as well as a new set of sliding glass shower doors. I was to pay for the new tiles that would be required for the tub area and the floor as well as for any new fixtures and a new toilet. He would cover the installation of the tile, all of the new plumbing involved in the bathroom for the new fixture installations and all drywall repairs and new electrical and painting as needed. This quote also included all haul away of old fixtures and debris and a clean up of the site. I had a three week window when I was available to be around the house and Eric was able to schedule the job to be done during that period. As we got into the bathroom demolition it became obvious that due to the state of the old pipes in the house ( Especially the ones that had been hidden in the walls ) that it would be advisable to do a repipe on the house . I knew that this might happen due to the age of the house and some half-completed re-piping done twenty years ago . At the same time I came up with the idea of installing a new Washer/Dryer in a closet across from the bathroom, a bit of a luxury , but something I've always wanted to do since my laundry room is located in a spare room located downstairs that is only accessible from outside. Eric's price for the house repipe and the plumbing, carpentry, tiling and electrical connections needed for the installation of the washer was $16750.00 , quite reasonable I think. The work progressed very smoothly , the crew was great .... very talented people who knew exactly what they were doing. I shopped around for the tiles and fixtures , using companies recommended by Eric and other sources . Eric's connections were very valuable and most certainly saved me money and helped me find fixtures of a much higher quality than what is available at the Big Box stores. Around this time we decided to take a look at the houses sewer connection. Unfortunately it was a disaster , the 50 year old pipes were barely holding together and definitely needed to be replaced. This meant ripping up a brick walkway and staircase that the pipes ran under on their way to the street below me where they connect to the city sewer system. This was a huge job but had to be done. Eric's quote for this was $12500.00 which ,again, seems very reasonable considering there were at times five or six guys with jackhammers working to get through bricks and rebar to get to the pipes buried 7 feet below. That quote included all of the demolition , new pipes , a new washout, and reconstruction of the brick walkway and stairs. Some concrete work was also needed for an area on the lower street that needed to be replaced. So,due to problems discovered during the renovation it all ended up costing a lot more than I thought it would when I started out ( What else is new ??) but I'm really happy with the outcome. The bathroom is beautiful , I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Eric's workers are true artists and the tile work is impeccable . The washer works beautifully and is in a perfect place for me. And the new brick walkway and stairs are skillfully done - a great improvement that I never expected when I started this renovation. Throughout this process Eric was available to me at all times, he was very responsive to any voice or text messages from me and was usually making daily visits to the house to check on his crew's progress. I didn't meet Moshe until later in the process but he gave very good advice on how to proceed on several tricky areas and his input and attention to detail was extremely valuable. I think their prices were very reasonable considering the amount of work done and the quality of work performed. I look forward to working with Eric and Moshe again and would certainly recommend them highly !!
Description of Work: Total Bathroom Renovation including new plumbing and fixtures, floor and wall tiling, Floor construction for tub replacement, and drywall repair. Installation of washer/dryer in closet area with new plumbing, woodworking and tile. Whole House Plumbing Repipe. New connection to sewer mains that required demolition and re-construction of brick walkway and staircase.
After consulting with two other contractors also taken from Angie's List, Eric from Construction Masters was the only one to take the time to thoroughly read my four page, single-spaced description of our wants and needs for our kitchen. I had been planning this remodel for approximately a year, consulting magazines, consumer reports, on-line resources and friends. He was patient and spent about 2 hours going over every detail at our initial meeting. The initial estimate was about $7,000-8,000 less than the final contract due to upgrades to led lighting, new electrical panel, etc. All workers showed up within 1 hour of their start time, were courteous, professional and extremely hard working. Jacob, his cabinet maker, did an excellent job making our shaker style, solid maple, full-extension, self-closing cabinets. Previous contractors told us it was not a good idea to go with white cabinets because of the amount of cooking and entertaining we do. Jacob told us that with the finish/glaze he puts on his cabinets this would not be an issue. He left us with a sample panel that we abused extensively for days (leaving many sauces that would normally stain painted surfaces), needless to say that sample panel and our white cabinets are pristine and beyond beautiful. I am extremely detail oriented, almost to the point of being OCD, and I had many post-it notes throughout the kitchen remodel period and after, with concerns and questions that needed to be addressed. Eric and Moshe were patient, VERY PATIENT and ALWAYS took care of any issues that came up during the entire construction process. Both Eric and Moshe were prompt in returning phone calls and texts. The work was scheduled to take 4-5 weeks, but ran over just an additional 3-4 days due to a defective faucet that had to be returned, reordered and reinstalled. Our kitchen came out exactly as envisioned, IT IS A SHOW ROOM. Do as much homework before consulting contractors, price out appliances, flooring; although prices for flooring and backsplash were less because Eric referred us to a wholesale supplier. Look at pictures for inspiration, the more homework you do the better the outcome in your finished product. Friends are blown away by our new kitchen and can't believe it was completed in such a short time. I would recommend Construction Masters enthusiastically and without hesitation.
Description of Work: We did a total kitchen remodel, total demolition, but did not change the footprint of our kitchen (did not move gas or power lines). We added an additional wall of cabinets, where none were before that included a wine cooler and granite countertops. Please note the price of the work DID NOT include costs of flooring, countertops, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, and high end appliances. Costs did include fabrication and installation of granite countertops, installation of flooring, backsplash, plumbing fixtures, appliances, and cabinetry. Additional costs were approximately $17,000 due to upgrades to led lighting, high end (Thermador appliances), high end flooring and backsplash, and need to install new electrical panel.
Everything was ready on the beginning date. His crew covered the wood floors with paper before the demolition and all three baths were finished in the ten days. The crew cleaned up the debris everyday, The quality of the work was excellent with no problems that needed to be redone. His bid was reasonable for all the work that was completed under the pressure of finishing in ten days. All three bath rooms are gorgeous. I highly recommend Construction Masters for any contracting needs.
Description of Work: Construction Masters, Moshe Cohen, remodeled a rental for me in 2010 and did an excellent job. When I wanted to remodel three bath rooms in a condo that had tenants, I didn't need to look for another contractor. I called Moshe. The problem was, the bath rooms had to be completely remodeled in 10 working days, no weekends, because of the Home Owners Association requirements.. The tenants were going on a vacation in October for two weeks, and the rooms needed to be finished before they returned. I called Moshe in July to begin the process of preparing the plans for new custom wood cabinets, granite counters, porcelain tile floors, and installing plumbing fixtures, mirrors, a new lighting fixture, and new frameless shower doors.

We hired Moshe and Construction Masters to renovate our first home and had close to $100k in renovations done. Through it all Moshe and his crew were highly professional, reliable, pleasant and very hard working. Our new neighbors even commented on how impressed they were by the work ethic of Moshe?s men whom they observed arriving early and working hard throughout the day. As 1st time home buyers my husband and I had many questions and concerns throughout the process and Moshe went out of his way to make himself accessible, returning our calls immediately, and calling us regularly to let us know what projects had been completed and what jobs were planned next. Moshe met any question with an expert opinion and gave excellent advice but, in the end, was always guided by what we wanted to do. He also helped stretch out budget by giving us access to his contractor?s discount. And when we encountered the usual unexpected extra expenses that come with any renovation, he priced these new items very reasonably ? helping us to prioritize what needed to be done immediately and what could be left for the future. If we had a problem with any aspect of the remodel, Moshe had his men correct it right away. And he had his teammake a number of small fixes that went above and beyond the scope of the work, items that we were not charged for, but which made a great difference to the overall appearance of our home. Overall, we were extremely impressed that Moshe stayed on budget and on time (allowing for the unexpected extra projects that cropped up). Most importantly, he and his men did a great job. The floors and ceiling are beautifully finished, and the master bath and powder room are gorgeous -- particularly the custom cabinetry and glass tiling work. Amazingly, Moshe was able to deliver all this to us at a very reasonable price. We have many more projects planned for our new home; and without hesitation, we?ll be bringing this work to Moshe and Construction Masters. We highly recommend them for any remodel.
Description of Work: Removal of popcorn ceiling from the entire house; installation of recessed lights; upgrading electrical on outlets and switches; installation and refinishing hardwood floors; installation of new windows, doors and baseboards; removal of wood panelling in the dining room, family room and den; building a set of shelves in the entryway; and remodeling the master bath and powder room; tile work along with electrical on the swimming pool.

I hired Construction Masters to convert a laundry closet in my kitchen into a space for a new side by side refrigerator and stackable washer and dryer. It was a small project, but I was immediately impressed with Eric, who bid on the job. I received three similar quotes for the work, but Eric was the least pushy of the three contractors I spoke with and just seemed like a regular, honest guy. I also sensed he would be easy to work with, and he was. I've worked with other contractors before, and it's rare to find one who is professional, on time and follows through. Eric is all of the above. I liked him so much that I ended up renovating the rest of my kitchen, in addition to the project I initially hired them for. It was a speedy renovation (two weeks for a smaller sized kitchen), and Eric oversaw the job from start to finish. And whenever there was a problem (drawers in the new cabinets not opening properly, the shipping bolts in the washing machine not being removed), Eric immediately rectified and had the job done correctly and to my liking. The overall experience was pretty stress-free (renovation projects of this magnitude can be stressful!), and I'm extremely satisfied with my new kitchen. It looks great!
Description of Work: Complete kitchen renovation. New cabinets, new countertop, new backsplash, new appliances installed.

Eric and Moshe are two of the most professional contractors I've ever worked with. They are punctual, provide great communication and their follow-through is excellent. Those factors make the hectic experience of a remodeling project much easier to deal with. But the main reason to work with them is the quality of their work, especially their tile work. We tiled the shower in 3/4" glass mosaic tiles, and if you're not working with a highly skilled tile crew, you're going to be disappointed in the finished product. We had a separate bathroom tiled with the same tile 4 years ago (by a different contractor), and the difference in quality is like night and day. Construction Masters take great pride in their tiling capabilities, and ultimately, great tile work is what matters most in a bathroom remodel. Eric showed me their portfolio of tile work and I was sold after seeing those pictures. Beyond the great quality of their work, they did a great job of leaving the work site looking neat and clean every day. They did a good job of not selling me anything I didn't want...they truly listened to our needs and delivered the project for a fair price, especially considering the quality of their work. I can't recommend these guys more highly. I would definitely hire them again, and will definitely call them next time I want to do anything to my house.
Description of Work: Bathroom Remodel, including: --Demolition of existing bathroom--Construction of bench seat in shower--Glass mosaic tiling in shower and backsplash behind sink--Ceramic tile on floors--Installation of new plumbing fixtures and valves--Installation of vanity cabinet--Installation of new medicine cabinet--Installation of new mirror and bathroom hardware--Installation of new toilet.
Moshe was on top of things, honest, reliable and I will definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a professional contractor.
Description of Work: Removed old tile from shower, cabinet and counter. He created a beautiful design with porcelain tile on the shower and installed a new glass door. He also made me a custom built vanity and fabricated a new granite counter. He installed porcelain tile on the kitchen floor. He also fixed my kitchen faucet for free. I had 2 plumbers over in the past to fix it but it still wasn’t working right. Thanks Moshe. You are the best!

We selected this company after getting three estimates. The quote was reasonable for the work to be performed. Work started on time and progressed at a steady rate. Eric checked in regularly and was responsive to any questions or issues that came up. As the project neared completion, there was a hitch because of a delay with a fixture we had ordered (not the contractor's fault). Around this time, the arrival and departure time of workers became more irregular, sometimes hours after we were told they would come, which was frustrating for us. However, Eric always kept his appointments on time. Despite the delivery delay, the project was completed virtually according to the schedule as originally planned and we are really pleased with the outcome! We are especially happy with the excellent quality of the tiling work.
Description of Work: Remodeled master bathroom. Reworked some plumbing. Built a new glass-wall shower. Tiled floors and around shower. Installed lights and new electrical outlet. Installed bathroom fixtures. Painted walls. Replaced door. Also installed tiles in a laundry room and replaced a pocket door.

I had scheduled an appointment today but they had to cancel. But Moshe's partner didn't want to be the first estimate. He wanted to wait so he could compare with the other estimates. I'm not so sure I would show the estimates to him. I would want to get the best deal but sometimes the best deal isn't the cheapest. I'm thinking he would bid the lowest and use the cheapest materials possible to get the job. I'm not comfortable with that. You give me your best bid so that you can make some money and give me the best possible quality for the price. I will not be rescheduling with this company. Since my first review I have spoken to Moshe. I realize that it was not his fault but his project manager. Since he is getting good reviews I agreed to give him a better score based only on what other reviews are saying not so much on my personal experience.
Description of Work: We want to have our bathroom expanded and possibly expanding the master closet.

Response from Construction Masters
Dear Member, I am very sorry for this misunderstanding. My project manager, Eric was in a car accident that morning while taking his kids to school and was not feeling well to keep the appointment. When he heard that you were going on vacation and not taking other estimates until you come back on 8/12, he wanted to wait to reschedule until then because he felt that you would forget alot of what he would say by then. He was not planing on asking to see any other bids you get. That would be very unprofessional. As you can see from our reviews, we do excellent quality work and do not expect to receive jobs based soley on price. I wish you good luck on your project and have a wonderful vacation. Moshe

This was one of the best experiences I ever had with a contractor. I would recommend Moshe to anyone who wants a low cost, high work ethic, professional job! How nice to be able to trust someone coming into your home!
Description of Work: This is the second time I have used Contruction Masters. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else. Moshe is the most honest and efficient contrator out there. He made sure all my furniture was covered, moved things around and later put everything back in the correct place, so I didn't have to stress. He created a gorgeous marble fireplace with a wood mantle. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up after themselves each day. Moshe also fixed a leak coming from my shower head at no charge! Thank you!!!!!!

They recommended a company to us that had straight F's! We thought being an A-rated company with Angie's List that we could trust their word for a recommendation. I'm so disappointed & upset. He should be checking with Angie's List & the BBB before he recommends people!
Description of Work: I had a room addition put on but the company didn't have anyone to do the shower encloser. We called this company for an estimate - They weren't able to do the shower so he recommended another company to us.
