The installing was wonderful. Salesman Andy was very nice & helpful. Installers were friendly and very knowledgeable. I've had 3 receivers though. 2 went out completely. Sent back to Denon for repair. They replaced w/new. Then that one went out. Signal Service replaced that. Now that my DVD, CD player is now non-functional, now we have a problem. I was told they would come out and tell me if it is worth repairing or replacing. It was not worth fixing I was told by repairman. He opened it to take out the stuck CD, and noticed a belt fell off. He fixed it and everything was working great. But now it has gone back to the original problem. Broke. I was charged the $100 service call, plus another 100 for the extra half hour the repairman used to try to take out CD, but just took a minute to put a belt back on. Which was very nice. Then it quit working again. Called Co, and they returned call and told me I could use the money to apply to a new one there. I might want to look around over the Thanksgiving holiday to see if I wanted to just replace it with something else, such as Blue Ray etc. Cheaper to buy new than have it repaired I was offered options. I respond that after the holiday I would decide and call back. Now I've had a call from 2 people in the office, that have responded in a very curt manner that they did not say what I stated above, and they did not plan to do anything. I asked about a warranty on there repair and told this was not covered. They were in my opinion very rude and sharp with me. They agreed after me explaining over and over that I had been offered options, and more or less called a liar, that they would refund me $100. But only after a fight. These 2 people have completely made me a very unsatisfied customer. After spending so much on a very expensive sound system, after 2 1/2 years the sound with the DVD part of the system is useless. I would expect it to last longer. At least not charging for a broken piece of equipment to be looked at and repaired and then no warranty on the repair. And then that is what I get. A useless DVD, CD player that has now cost me $200 more than the original price, about $500. Very upset with mainly the attitude of the 2 people in customer service.
